Description of Work: Built a second floor deck, created a level paved area under the deck and built an integrated hot tub into the deck.

Description of Work: I had a real mixed experience with Elite Spas. Damon Fletcher is a very laid back and personable guy. He has a great deal of experience. He is also the only game in town when it comes to custom installed spas with pump and filter separate from the tub. He is a old fashioned businessman who doesn't write up a formal contract. We had Damon refurbish an old hot tub that he had previously installed 25 years ago. This included new pipes, hardware, pump and filter. This was done in conjunction with a deck rebuild. My biggest frustration was trying to get in contact with him. He almost never answers emails and phone call returns require multiple reminders. This was in stark contrast to the other contractors that I had been working with over the previous several months. It was my impression that he was going to install the hot tub during the deck rebuild but he ended up changing his mind because he was busy with other jobs and therefore he came in after the deck was completed. He completed the job in 2 days. I noticed that the hot tub was not seated flush with the deck. There was a very distracting 3/8 inch gap on 2 sides. He reassured me that when the hot tub filled it would settle in. It did not. There were several other problems also such as a leaking pipe, a control knob that was installed at strange angle and the heater would not hold temperature plus a few others. Concerned that he was so difficult to get a hold of, I decided to put a stop payment on the check to ensure that he would fix the problems promptly. He was of course upset with me. He was very reluctant to fix the problem with the hot tub not seating properly. His first attempt was not successful. He indicated that the shell was old and warped and could not be corrected. I was insistent that he find a way to fix the problem. Eventually he worked with the deck contractor to change the position of the deck boards to make it flush. All problems were fixed perfectly, I was a happy customer and he got paid.

Description of Work: Serviced a long-neglected hot tub in a house I had just purchased. Removed old and unnecessary equipment, drained, cleaned, and refilled the tub, and rebuilt the equipment enclosure attached to the house.
