Bob's Heating & Air Conditioning

First of all, we have been long time customers of Bob's. We started using their furnace service going back to 2013. We always had a good experience with them until our most recent A/C install. The positives - they are responsive, knowledgeable, professional, they seem to care. Therefore, it felt like an easy choice to go with Bob's for our A/C install. However, our recent A/C install was a cluster. There are 2 major things that happened, both of which I have been in communication with the company about and they have been receptive about, however one of the errors was incredibly dangerous! 1) First, the most severe incident - they did not follow proper procedures to ensure the gas line was connected to the furnace upon the completion of the install. Fortunately or unfortunately, we were not living at the house after install, and so when a property manager came by after 2 weeks, they smelled gas and called PSE. PSE commented that the "line was barely connected to the furnace." This could have led to an incredibly dangerous outcome if anything had triggered a spark over the weeks no one was at the house! If we get a large bill from PSE due to the leaking of the gas - it's going to Bob's to pay! And that doesn't cover the scare that it could have been. 2) The other error that occurred, on the day of the install the electrical team accidentally drilled a hole that came into our dining room when they were feeding the wires through the crawl space to the unit outside. A manager did not call me back same day to resolve it, I ended up calling multiple times to get prompt attention. Initially I was told the fix would take 2+ weeks to get to, to which was not reasonable to our situation. Finally when a manager did call me back, we negotiated a different solution and that was resolved. Unfortunately after all of this, Bob's is no longer a company we feel comfortable working for our future needs.

Technician came out & diagnosed the issue, ordered a blower. Came out to install it and there seemed to be another issue. He then had to order a replacement motherboard for the furnace. He came back to install that and the front is working great now.

Purchased AC unit from them. Less than a year after it was installed the fan motor and fan blade went out. They paid for the fan motor but not labor. Labor was an additional $600 total. I would not work with them again.

I have used them for years and they are pretty good. I would recommend them as well.

It didnt go anywhere. They refused to schedule me because they are too full. They said they will not schedule customers unless they have been to my house within the last 5 years. Pretty lousy customer service.

They would not give me a detailed estimate for the cost of the unit and the labor.

They were great and they completely solved my problem.

He replaced a small part, and I avoided buying a new furnace. He said I didn't need a new furnace, this old one had lots more life. Very trustworthy.

Server was great! On time, Covid-19 precautions, clean detailed service.

Bob's HVAC installed a new gas furnace, replacing an existing one in my home. I interviewed and got proposals from 6 contractors; Bob's was very responsive from a sales standpoint; their pricing was not the lowest, but highly competitive and deemed the best value in my mind; they showed up as promised on the install date and time and completed everything efficiently while answering my questions throughout the process and respecting our home. Upon my later inspection, I found a slight mis-alignment of the furnace, filter box door, but was able to fix it myself. Other than that, everything was perfect. I'd recommend Bob's HVAC.

Tech was on time, communicative, and thorough. Would up having to do a coolant leak test that determined the indoor coil was leaking, something the tech suspected based on the model and year of the coil . Then did the coil replacement, which was scheduled 3 weeks later. All went well, but was expensive (due to the part replacement and labor, but less expensive than having to replace the full system).

We were offered a Saturday morning appointment. Bobs' both installed our furnace and our ac unit. They hold all our service records. Upon arriving at 8:06am, we were informed that Bob's has "a policy"of not working on furnaces that are over 20 years old. Bob's was well-aware of the age of our furnace when we made the appointment. We are outraged at such unethical business practices! While we have assumed our furnace would eventually need to be replaced, it will not be Bob's that ever gets that business from us!

We are in the market for a new water heater, furnace and possibly air conditioning. Randy came out to our house on December 5th. Did a very thorough inspection of our current setup, asked me lots of questions and gathered all of the necessary information. Said he would have an estimate to us in a few days. Never heard back. So, I texted him on December 13th...no response. So, I called the main number about a week later. The woman I spoke with wasn't terrible...I don't know, maybe just a bad day but pretty unpleasant. Anyway, she said Randy was out in the field so she would message him to request he send the estimate. Never heard back. So, called Randy about 2 weeks later. He answered the phone, took down all of my information, apologized and said he would be sure to send me the estimate that night. I asked him to shoot me a text after he sent it so I could be sure to keep an eye out. Never heard from him and never received an estimate. Called him back about 5 days later, left a voicemail....it's been about 4 or 5 days and I've still not heard back from him. Really enjoy taking time off work to meet with someone and completely wasting my time. I'm very confused.

Great, came when they said the would, nice to work with. Would absolutely hire them again.

Very professional and courteous. Figured out the problem and relayed all the info I needed to know. Brian is a great asset for this company.

Beware of a business who doesn't return a phone call because of a possible customer negative issue--ignoring the call isn't a mature way of handling the issue of a long-time customer. Check how a business resolves issues as to how good they are.

Bob's was prompt and professional from the start to the end. I got a sweet deal, they followed through exactly on time on their filter replacement program, I've recommended them to everyone needing furnace work. I would definitely hire them again

It went really well, very professional, did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them and they were very reliable. I was really happy that we have them because they are a really good company.

It went well and smooth! Service charges were night though it was warranty replacement!
