Very professional. The came and cleaned my ductwork and did a regular maintenance service on my furnace. Hard to tell, since I can't crawl in there and look, but everything seems fine. The man that came out was very nice, extremely honest. He didn't try to sell me a new furnace and actually told me that my 10 year old one was a beast that would probably keep going for another 10, though he did say the new ones were much quieter and efficient than my model. He checked out my dryer vent to see if it needed to be cleaned and determined that it did not. I also signed up for Bob's automatic furnace filter program, where they send you a new filter when it is time to be changed. Very convenient! Especially since my filter type is not available at a store.

I was very pleased with them. There was a blowing all over my house when I burned down the furnace. A couple of months of ago, I had a new insulation put in and they went underneath. The pipes were disconnected or were not taped very well and all the heat was going underneath my house. I was losing a lot of heat and they retaped everything. When I started up my furnace, everything just blasted through because everything was connected. When I turned on the heat, I had dirt blow all over the house. It seemed after I had the insulation, my house warms up very fast. Those were the three things I had it done. I needed my furnace, dryer hose to prevent possible fire and air ducts to be cleaned. I thought that was great. He was wonderful. He was well groomed, his hair was cut, and he was clean with the uniform on. He called and said he was on his way and I appreciate him being 10 mins early. It took him about 4 hours to do everything. I felt that he really did a great job. He showed me everything, the filters that they put after they cleaned. I was amazed of all the dirt that came out. They gave me an Angie’s List discount. I have never had my ducts cleaned but after talking to people, they said the price was reasonable. When I called them I said, I get a little flyer all the time for $39 air duct cleaning and they said yes, but that is if you want all of them cleaned it can go as high as $800. I have a friend that referred them to me and said they were very reasonable. Another guy came from Bob’s heating after the ducts were cleaned. He had this little machine and he made sure everything was adjusted and the furnace was okay that made me feel that everything was properly done. I think, I waited about a week but that was fine. They were very professional. They were mentored at Bob’s Heating and I thought that was very good. I had them in my file and they said that ducts should be cleaned every 2 years so I’ll do that.

I called Bob's first because they installed our furnace in our 2011 DR Horton new build. I messaged them and got a call back the next day. Person who called me seemed annoyed and told me that all the information I needed was on the website. She was not interested in talking to me about the products and the differences between. She did look up my furnace info and email me pricing. I also asked her a question about filters while I had her on the phone, again getting a annoyed response that didn't answer my question or offer to send me to someone who could. I hung up the phone thinking that they must not need my business, because they certainly didn't do anything to earn it.

We were able to retrieve your service record and take a look at our history with you. Based upon our records, the last interaction we had with you was when we sent a technician out for a maintenance call in April of 2012. Since then, there is no record of any calls from you. Our computer system records all calls that come in or go out, and we are unable to send a salesman out to give you a quote without it recording in our system. Was a salesperson dispatched to your home? We have no record of that, and I have spoken with the sales group and no one seems to recall working with you. Because we installed your original system, we have the blueprints for your home, and we would be able to sell you your equipment over the phone, so there is no reason why the call center wouldn't give you a quote, especially if it was for air conditioning, as we do this all the time. Are you sure you called Bob's Heating? It seems you may be mistaken, as none of your claims seem to match our records. This was Thursday. So I called multiple service provider and all of them schedule to do it on Monday. That evening (Saturday) it snowed in our area and without furnace it could have been a tough night for us. Thanks Bobs.

HUGE RECOMMEND FOR THIS COMPANY!! Based on the recommendations by other Angie's List posts, I called asking for help with a constantly running furnace. At first, I was told there were no appointments available for the day. Shortly, the scheduler called back to say they could have a technician come; Steve called almost immediately to say he was on his way. WONDERFUL! After about 45 minutes working on the furnace, which amounted to a full servicing, Steve was perplexed. After two minutes with the thermostat, he figured out it was set for a gas furnace rather than for the electic furnace we have. He reprogammed the thermostat in minutes, and voila! It was all working again. Steve was ready to make it a no charge service call when he had no luck finding a problem with the furnace. When he figured out the thermostat issue, it was only right to pay him for the furnace servicing he'd performed. I was happy to pay him for his work, and I look forward to being a regular customer of this GREAT COMPANY! HUGE RECOMMEND from me!

Booking the apt on Saturday am - they answered the phone at 8:00 am and booked an afternoon apt for the same day. The service technician Joseph was excellent. He called 45 minutes out to let me know he was on his way. He is very professional providing his business card on arrival and donning his shoe covers upon entering. He got right to work trouble shooting and explained what he was doing each step of the way. He clearly outlined the different choices for thermostat replacements and took the time to train me on the operation. He also explained the fan system and the ducting cleaning options that I might consider as my ducts have never been cleaned. He reviewed my warranty with me and identified the parts that are still covered and what is not. He was extremely polite and is obviously an expert in the different types of systems and options for them. He offered to answer any follow up questions I have. I will use bob's again and if Joseph is an example of the quality of service they offer then they come highly recommended.
Description of Work: Diagnosed problem. Replaced thermostat and cleaned heating system including replacing filter, cleaning system, adjusted gas pressure down per system spec. Trained me on new thermostat and reviewed how to drain h20 heater.

This is my 3rd or 4th experience working with Bob's H&AC. They continue to impress me. After having them service our furnace and watching how diligent the tech was, I decided to opt for the duct cleaning even though it was $100 more than others were quoting. I was equally iimpressed by the professionalism and diligence of their tech, named Ian. He explained the operation and took the 3 hours needed to do the job. We now have a completely serviced motor AND I was amazed at the debris that was flushed from the duct work! We'll breath easier now, for sure.

I have a Carrier furnace that is 11 yrs old. Noticed the house would not warm up during the cold spell earlier this month. Cleaned the filters and still no improvement. Called Bob's Heating & AC and they diagnosed it as a failed secondary heat exchanger. Learned that they are defective and that there is a lawsuit settlement out there covering the replacement of the secondary heat exchanger from Carrier. My furnace qualified even though it was 11 years old. Got a few estimates on new furnaces, but decided to go w/ repair/replacement. Estimate from Bob's was $588 plus tax to replace the primary heat exchanger if necessary, while the secondary heat exchanger was covered. The service tech - Jairo - showed up on time in the time frame promised. He opened the furnace and took out the heat exchanger components. He showed me the problem w/ the heat exchangers. Decided to change the primary heat exchanger also b/c it was starting to rust also. It took him 2.5 hrs from start to finish. He made sure everything was working and the house was heating up. Cleaned up the garage floor. He answered all my questions. I'm satisfied. New furnace would have been around $4K. If I can get 5 more years, I'll be ready for a new furnace then.

Really? When it often gets 80+ degrees out and you work from home? NOT!_x000D_|_x000D_|We called several companies to give an estimate and ideas. Retrofitting an A/C into a house that was designed for only heat is not easy. Be careful: the airflow rate required for A/C is much higher than for heating (even when the BTU of the A/C is lower than the furnace), so there's a good chance you need to have your duct work changed. Plus the location of the return air vents is often designed for heating as well._x000D_|_x000D_|Bob's wasn't the cheapest (but they were close), but we liked their selection of equipment the most and what they suggested they do._x000D_|_x000D_|Install took two full days, but was overall painless (except when it came time to pay the bill....). The guy who came to give the estimate was good but I think the company is all about charging for small items to increase the total costs.
Description of Work: Estimate for new furnace.. The space in my house was small and I felt like they were nickel and dime for every single item. I got much better estimates that were more all encompassing. Finally decided to go with another provider who was much more straight forward and delivered on time at good quality.

The installation seemed to go smoothly. After a few days our furnace wouldn't kick on so we called Bob's that morning and they came out that evening to take a look at the furnace. From the 2nd guys inspection of the initial installation, it appeared the initial installation wasn't done properly. He made some adjustments and it appeared to begin working again. After a few days from the time the 2nd guy came out, the furnace stopped working a 3rd time. We called Bob's again that morning and they sent someone out that day. The 3rd guy came and did more adjustments and installation corrections. Since then it appears that it was finally fixed and we haven't had any issues with it since. It appears that the first guys that did the initial installment needed more training. We were very happy with Bob's immediate response but a little worried that it took 3 times to get the installation job done right. We are now going into winter and our new furnace has been working since we turned it on at the end of September and all is working good.

They first came out on a service call because my furnace wasn't working.The repairman worked on it and fixed it but told me that since it was so old that I might want to think of a newer furnace.The furnace was old, we had been told 8 years ago that we should think of a new one) I asked him if he thought this one would last another year and he thought it would. I asked him for information and he gave me details on four possible replacements. During the next week as I thought about it, the furnace didn't seem to be working properly. I called and they said there would be no charge to come back out. He said they could try another fix but because of the age of furnace he wouldn't have part on the the truck and it could be a few days to order part. I decided to go with a new furnace. I just didn't want to be worrying about another breakdown in the cold weather. |The workman arrived and they were polite and helpful and explained everything when they were finished.

When they were finished, our furnace wouldn't start although they were quick to get a professional furnace repair company in to fix it. They paid for the repairs, which made us very happy. They were very responsive to our calls and wanted to make it right. The repair man who came to fix it said the cleaning job was not done well. I also have a soot stain on my carpet outside of my furnace after the cleaning was performed

Extremely well in every respect. The two service people arrived as scheduled, did the work quickly and efficiently. They explained the details of the unit's operation, etc. They were extremely friendly and courteous. The only reason I noted we would not use them again is that we are moving out of the area.

I originally had an issue with Bob's in that their technician never showed up, but they have since offered me the service for free to make up for this. When they do complete the work, I will update the review again.
