Bob's Heating & Air Conditioning

We've always relied on them and they've always done the good things for us. The way they hooked up the air conditioning, maybe they had no choice but it was very weird. They were very prompt and they were very responsive. We've never had any problems. We passed all the permits they needed.

My experience was good. It was not their fault, but I had a building inspection after that and they said that there was a smell of gas coming out of there, but there was no leak. They did fine. It was not their fault. He was a little late showing up. Other than being late, they gave me what they advertised and they performed okay. My interaction with them was friendly. They were professional. They were okay.

I'm a big believer in getting multiple estimates/price quotes for large purchases. One day while shopping at Costco, I stopped by the heating and a/c kiosk on the way out the door and asked them if they could have someone come out and give me a price quote. I know nothing about heating & a/c so the guy that came out seemed like he really knew his stuff. As it turns out, he didn't. I went on Angie's List and contacted 3 other companies about getting price quotes. Based on what I had read on ConsumerReports.org, I knew I didn't want a heat pump and based on what the guy from Costco had told me, I told the other companies that came out that I wanted a 2 stage a/c unit. Based on what I told Bob's & Blue Flame, they gave me price quotes for exactly what I had told them I wanted. The guy from Brennan's told me to keep an open mind about what I felt I needed (e.g. 1 stage vs. 2 stage, a/c only vs a/c & furnace) and he also explained to me how the guy from Costco had misrepresented what SEER ratings meant. Once I was armed with that info, it became clear to me that the guy from Costco had tried to sell me a 2 stage a/c unit because it cost more money, not because I would benefit from it. He also educated me about the importance of a quality furnace to take full advantage of the a/c unit I would be installing. Armed with this new information, I went back to Bob's and Blue Flame and asked for like-like estimates so I could compare their estimates with the estimate from Brennan's. There were slight differences between each (e.g. length of warranty, manufacturer, etc.), but what really "sold me" was Randy's availability and his willingness to answer all my questions. After I had e-mailed Randy with about 50 more questions (at approximately 8pm), he called me about 5 minutes later to answer all my questions. I never felt like Randy was trying to sell me more than what I needed. I never felt pressured to buy anything. When I told him my purchase would be contingent on whether or not I owed money when I filed my 2015 taxes, Randy mentioned I could apply for financing on Bob's website. That process was equally easy. I was qualified for the full purchase amount less than 24 hours later (which was a Friday) and the installation was scheduled for Monday. When the scheduler called me Friday afternoon to verify their people would be out Monday morning, they told me I would be receiving a phone call ahead of the team's arrival. Sure enough, about 15 minutes before the team arrived, I received a phone call. When the guys arrived, they were very professional, they had great personalities, and were more than happy to answer all my questions (I had a lot). About an hour into the installation, a supervisor stopped by to check on their work. A few hours later, electricians arrived. An hour or two before completion, another supervisor (or manager) stopped by to have me sign the finacing paperwork. Everything was easy. They did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves and finished around 4pm. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, from start to finish. I would HIGHLY recommend Bob's Heating and Air Conditioning.

The service man was prompt, polite, thorough, and provided me with a clear explanation of what was done and the paperwork to certify that the inspection was completed.

Woke up to a dead dead furnace - called a few companies and Bob's was the only one who could get me serviced same day. Josh came out and did a outstanding job and took care of everything in about an hour. Great service! Might even sign up for their 3yr GF & AC maintenance program.

I hadn't used Bob's before but based on their rating gave them a shot. When I called the representative suggested I book through angies list to save an additional $20. I appreciated this. The service tech named Adam C. showed up at the very begninning of the 4 hour window and quickly went to work. Once complete he came in the house to look at the thermostat and offered to wire a constant 24v to my new nest so its battery would not run down in the summer months (Nests only charge when the furnace is running). He did this at no additional costs. He wore booties in our house and was very curtious. Bob's has one a new customer thans to Adam. I was so pleased with the service I ordered the same for my rental house.

The guy came in on time, remove the filters for my attic and hepa filter. He checked the water heater and help me program the heat in my house.

I had ordered an Angie's List deal to get our air ducts cleaned and get our furnace inspected.Our service was supposed to be after noon. We got a call 2 1/2 hrs earlier and said he was on his way. So I had to leave work early to meet him. Also, both service tech's left a mess after they left. Did not clean up from going in and out of the house. Overall the service was good but the professionalism not so much.

They did a very thorough service and in the end followed up with me explaining what was done and which adjustments were also completed as part of the service.

Technician was on time and very courteous and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and made some suggestions for other work that would help our system, and which were most important.

I was dissapointed that the service of the furnace was performed and unable to provide the duct cleaning. They are one of the few certified duct cleaners which says that there service is not a ripoff. Others say they clean but really don't get through the system. They explained that with my set up, they would have to cut into the furnace and that would not be good. They then charged me $149 for the furnace check which was not a good deal but fair. They did refund the balance.

The team from Bob's again was professional, courteous and efficient. They did a great job!

It was just a basic check of the furnace. He was very professional. The whole process took about an hour. I would definitely hire again.

Yesterday, Matt arrived punctually for an annual furnace maintenance. I appreciated his professionalism (performed the needed work thoroughly and in a timely manner), willingness to answer questions, and thoughtfulness/consideration (brought booties to wear over his shoes whenever entering the house!) Having purchased an Angie's List deal, I was very satisfied with the price and would happily call on Bob's Heating again in the future.

He was a polite person and did a good job.

This was a Professional Job. Care was taken to check out all functions of the heater (gas pressures, vent temperatures, motor operations, and electrical continuity. The technician walked me through each step of the multi-step process, explaining the reason for the check and the expected results. He removed all carbon from the igniter, tightened all the motor mounts, checked for carbon dioxide leaks, cleaned the gas heads and chambers. I was indeed impressed. Bob's has always provided us with quality service.

I needed prompt service in preparation for selling my home. I got a message right away and a follow up phone call the next morning. The service rep showed up promptly and got right to work. I was able to show proof of service to my realtor the same day. Terrific service from a great company.

The technician called when he was on his way. He arrived about 20 minutes after the call and was very professional and thorough. He diagnosed and repaired our system all within a couple of hours.

During the bid, the representative showed up right on time. I had 5 HVAC contractors bid on the project. Based on my interaction with the 5 and a ton of research I did, I would say that the person from Bob's was very knowledgeable. The bid was put together and given to me before he left (that was not the case with 2 of the 5). Overall I received four bids from the five contractors. Not sure what happened with the fifth, but he never sent me a bid after the visit. Bob's price was about $2K less than the other two I seriously considered. One of these other bids was for exactly the same equipment manufacturer and model. Based on Bob's positive score on Angie's and their great price, I scheduled the work. It took a month from the day the job was scheduled until the work was done. Realize that this is the hottest summer on record in Seattle, and a lot of people had the same idea to install AC. On install day, I received a call at 7:30a that they would be at the house at 8:00a. A crew of four arrived. I showed them around to where the equipment needed to be located, and where the electrical panel was located. Work moved forward quickly. Electrical was done by 10:00a. The system was fired up and tested, and complete by 2:00p. I had an existing internet enabled thermostat (Ecobee) that the crew was not familiar with. They put in the extra effort to figure out how to utilize this existing thermostat versus trying to sell me a new one. That made me very happy. The install crew was very professional, answered any questions I had, and left everything cleaned up in like they found it condition. Great job; I cannot imagine anything would have been better had I paid one of the other contractors $2K more.

I scheduled with Bob's Heating, they gave me a window between 12:00 and 4:00 PM. The technician came around 3:00, finished his job in an hour. He explained all works he had done and gave me a copy of the receipt. It was a no-hassles work.

Very professional and friendly. A supervisor even came out to check on the progress. Very satisfied with the service.

It went well. The renter with 3 young kids with no heat. They would need to wait for 2 days before it can be fixed unless if I pay extra for emergency service. I didn't want them to go cold with temp around freezing so I opted for the premium to get it fixed right away.

Called was put on hold, which is fine, gal answers asked her how much for someone to come out and do a bid on a specific repair on our heat pump as we wanted a second opinion on repair price and she could only say $129 for someone to come and diagnose the problem. Explained we knew what it was we just had a company here who told us... we just wanted to know how much it would be for them to come and fix it. Again. All she could say was $129 to diagnose the problem. We just paid money for a diagnosis. .. we just wanted Bobs to do the repair....such a shame.

As expected but technician did not fit correct sized filter which I subsequently corrected myself when I also had air ducts cleaned by a different company
