Paul responded quickly to my call for estimate and scheduled the work quickly. He and the crew were very efficient and I am so pleased with the work they did. I thought the price was reasonable and I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: removed tagged saplings and badly forked tree plus removed an 80 foot split-stem Douglas Fir to a 4 inch stump Out of the 16 remaining Douglas firs and western red cedars performed windsail reduction in upper third of each, crown -cleaned throughout. Provided 4-6 feet clearance above my 3 sheds. They cleaned up debris, chip up, and hauled away. Paul also pruned my very old Japanese Maple. Beautiful job!!! Paul and his crew could not have performed better.

Short version: I am VERY pleased. Long version: Very competitive on price. Paul was a referral from a crawlspace guy I had over a few days earlier, and was quite pleased that his bid was rather lower than a couple I received last spring. But, I'm especially pleased on 3 levels..... First, him and his crew were punctual to the minute, and he brought a sufficiently large crew so that a sizeable job was done in a matter of hours, minimizing the impact on my tenants and neighbors. Second, tradesmen inevitably leave messes that require moderate to major cleanup--very aggravating--but in Paul's case, I'm standing there, after he and his crew are done and gone, with a broom in my hands, and nothing to sweep up--Paul and his guys had cleaned up after themselves, so I had nothing to deal with after the fact. Third, there were a number of interactions between my tenants (whom I value greatly as they're great tenants), and Paul's guys...and without exception, my tenants were effusive in their compliments about the politeness and consideration of Paul and his guys. If I ever again need tree work, I will definitely call Paul tom b. owner Rhoda Jane Apartments
Description of Work: Removed several trees from around my small apartment building in N. Seattle., including 2 VERY large Spruce trees.

We have a spectacular Deodar Cedar tree in our front yard which we've known for a few years needed to be pruned to allow for better wind throughput. The tree is so thick, and the branches so heavy, we wanted to relieve some of the strain it takes from strong winds and heavy snows. When we received a coupon from Bio Tree Service in a mailer, we gave them a call. The owner, Paul Johnson came out to take a look and provide an estimate. We also called a couple of other tree services to come out and do the same. Based on these interviews and their estimates, we were most impressed with Paul. His knowledge of the type of tree, and his attention to explaining the details really won us over. We'd recently joined Angie's List, so the next step was to check them out. A quick search found lots of positive reviews. Paul and his crew arrived on time, and got right to work. First step was an exhaustive consultation with my wife and I, which we appreciated. Paul directed the crew on exactly which branches to cut, and which to leave. The crew worked expertly and efficiently, finishing earlier than expected. I was impressed with the safety protocols that were followed. A couple of days later, Paul came back out personally to ensure we were completely satisfied. The tree looks healthy and great. Its beautiful shape and presence remains.
Description of Work: Tree pruning services: Removed a 25' Holly tree to a 2" stump. Proper pruning of 70' Deodar Cedar, and cleaning throughout. Proper-angle cutting of all branches that were dead, broken, stubbed, weak, insignificant, diseased, or interfering with another. Removde 3 of the many leaders in the upper crown, with proper-angle cutting for proper subsequent healing. Left in 14-16" rounds stacked neatly for firewood. Cleaned up all debris, chiped up and hauled away.

1. Removed 65' Atlas Cedar and 70' Deodar Cedar.to 2-4" stumps. 2. Leaved in 14-16" rounds for firewood, piled at the base of trees. 3. Cleaned up debris very nicely, chip it up, and hauled it away. I definitely would recommend this company. They are knowledgeable and professional. The cost of service was also reasonable. Customer care was great. The service was quick, of high quality, and in time.

I appreciate that Paul met with me very soon after I contacted him. He obviously is a very experienced arborist and gave me insight into the other trees on my property, besides the douglas fir. A previous company had said that I didn't need to remove it, but this gentleman was not an arborist and he quoted me $900 to do windsail reduction and also said it would cost thousands and thousands to take the tree out. Paul's crew were very effective and in no time at all the tree was down, chipped up, they cleaned up well and were on their way for a very reasonable cost. I would highly recommend them for their knowledge, expertise, and reasonable price.

Paul Johnson and his crew did an excellent job. They arrived early, worked efficiently and cleaned up completely. Paul suggested a solution for a problematic plum that I didn't want to lose, and I'm very happy with the result. My trees look beautiful now.
