They are great. The bid quote was the quote no surprises fees during the installation. The estimate for how long it would take was right on target, and you barely knew the crew was there, they just worked away and cleanup when they were done. Everyone I interacted with was super nice, I am really glad I chose Austin Irrigation.

The installation went very well. They laid underground lines in an established garden and were able to restore the beds and pathways to perfect condition. No quibble with this part at all. For 10 years I relied on them to turn the system on in the spring and check sprinkler heads, and winterize it in the fall. Then in late spring this year they abruptly sent a letter saying they were no longer serving my area. The gardens were already in need of watering by the time the letter arrived, but they refused to come out. I had just had surgery and it was stressful to try to find a new irrigation contractor on short notice. All the contractors I called were already busy with spring activations, so I had to get down on hands and knees 8 weeks after a knee replacement to turn the system on. I felt it was very unprofessional to give such short notice of this change after a 10-year business relationship.

We have used Austin Irrigation for many years, for both big and small projects. They do very fine work, at a fair price, and are very professional.

I used this company for 10 years their outside techs were great. Office staff awful totally unhelpful, hard to get in touch with. Totally let down by them after waiting 1 month for appointment, followed there instructions for appointment, very unhelpful at scheduling, rude response from employee answering telephone. Will not use again.

Extremely well. Work was completed in 3 days. Shrubs and other plantings were left undisturbed.

I'm continuing to use them. I've used them for 20 years. They do an excellent job. They are busy and it may take a while for them to get to you, but they are more than competitive when it comes to pricing. I use them for sprinklers and landscape work.

I waited to be contacted but never was after the initial response (2 days after I sent my email) that someone would be contacting me that day after giving them my address and phone number to contact.

Bill Austin came to our home and talked us through the various areas of our yards. The yards are oddly shaped and back up to wetlands so it was quite a challenge. We had some artificial turf in our side dog yard and he gave us options as to how we could run the system from front to back without disturbing this turf. His workers were quick, did not leave a mess or holes that we could fall in (since this was a several day job). Bill was on the job each day, supervising his workers. We were thrilled with the difference this system made to our scattered plantings. The system has a rain detector so the sprinklers don't go if it rains. Really a nice water saver. In October, his crew came by one morning (with an appointment) and winterized the system. We were very pleased with Bill and his crew. We are considering having him install a lighting system in the back yard!

Excellent service and professional work. It started with a very responsive office staff to schedule the estimate and then the work and continued with a very thorough and knowledgeable assessment of the work that needed to be done. The team showed up promptly as scheduled, kept me up to speed throughout the day and then walked me through what had been done to ensure the work met my expectations. Quality work at a fair price. I'd definitely recommend them!

The initial installation was fine, seemed a little pricey but I didn't get any other bids. They also gave me a four year warranty on the system, which is still in force. It all worked well except for the drip hoses in the garden beds, which were a little patchy in their coverage, and have gradually gotten worse. My wife is an avid gardener so I decided to do something about the beds. In June of this year one of their workers came out to make some minor adjustments to the sprinkler heads and look at the garden beds. He recommended upgrading the system, said it would be a simple job with a different kind of hose. I tried to get them to come out again to give me the details, an estimate and do the work. Since they presumably would be upgrading the system I thought there might be a small charge for the new materials. They gave me one tentative date which we couldn't accommodate as we were out of town. Since then, about a month ago, they have refused to contact me despite several calls and emails. I recently emailed them again stating that I was going to place a negative review and giving them a last chance to make things right. I still have not heard from them. I don't often write reviews and have never before written a negative one, however this is terrible customer service and they are not honoring their warranty. I understand this is a busy time of year for all sprinkler companies but they have pretty much ignored me for a month. I would not use this company again and would warn off others who are considering them.

they were on time and knocked it out in 20 minutes. They came with an commercial grade, hitched air compressor. The workers were nice and even stood out in the rain to make sure stuff was blowing out right. great guys to talk too as well.

come out for changes. We The owner, Bill Austin, was our initial contact. He was congenial and professional and explained the job thoroughly. His price was fair, even when we requested a couple of add-ons. His crew was on time and worked carefully, and did not disturb existing landscaping. They cleaned up so well that you could not tell they were here. The came back numerous times to do modifications and revisions and always performed as they did for the initial installation. Communication has always been excellent and Bill has always responded promptly. This job was initially done about a year ago and we continue to have them come out for changes and maintenance. We even had them did an 18" ditch for installation of a gas pipe for a fireplace and they were as professional as other times. I recommend they highly.

We dealt with Bill and several of his team, everyone was super responsive and processional. Bill gave us a very competitive quote, turned up when they said they would, installed the system in just over a day, and left zero mess.... I struggled to tell they'd done anything when i got home because they'd cleaned up/replanted/raked everything back into place so well. We used our own "smart" irrigation controller that they weren't familiar with and they had no problem with testing the system with their kit and then wiring up my controller. Really great service and professional install. A+.

Bill and his crew did a fantastic job. I picked the top 3 highest reviewed irrigation companies on Angie's list (Austin Irrigation was one of them) and had each of them come to my house to give me a bid. All were very responsive but Bill seemed to really get what I wanted. Even before I saw the numbers come in I was already leaning towards Bill. He was also the only one of the three willing and able to do the landscaping I needed. His price to do the irrigation and the landscaping was still under the next highest bidder and they didn't even have the landscaping in their bid. I called Bill to review his number and I let him know he was significantly lower then everyone else and wanted to make sure he didn't miss anything. He didn't. His crew came out and did a fantastic job. They had to remove a ton of existing hard-scape and I was nervous that they wouldn't put it back properly but they actually put it back in better shape then it was. I am amazed! The whole project went very well and even when there were a few challenges, Bill handled them quickly and effectively. Even after the job was finished and I realized I had missed having him do a couple things he came right back and did the extra work for me with no problem and he didn't over-price the added work either. I would absolutely recommend Bill and his crew to anyone. Fantastic work! Thanks Bill!

They were a good company to work with. They were fair priced and responsive. The lawn looked better than before they did the work and they were professional.

I have used Austin Irrigation three times, and each time there was a problem, ranging from minor annoyance to narrowly skirting disaster. The first sprinkler turn-on went fine. They were a couple of hours past the end of the assigned time period, despite repeated assurances from the office that they would meet their rather wide-open appointment window. The crew was polite, knowledgable, and efficient once they got there. The second time was a winterization that nearly flooded my house. During the shut off, they missed a faucet in the garden that was already frozen, and it thawed mid-day to run until late at night when I arrived home. It spewed thousands of gallons of water into the garden, through the woodshed, down across the patio and emptying into my lawn, which was a pond for several days until it drained. It was only by a stroke of luck that the water ran to the right from the faucet into the yard. If it had flowed to the left just a couple of inches, it would have taken a very different channel and flooded my foundation and crawlspace. The faucet was directly next to the in-ground control box for the sprinkler system, and the soil for about 8' around the box was soaked, then froze into a frost heave, raising and cracking the ground. This made me rather concerned for the status of the pipes in and around the control box. Despite repeated requests to have the owner of Austin Irrigation call me, he never did. I only talked with an office clerk who left their employment soon after. I was not happy with the company, but decided that I would have them do the spring turn-on to ensure there were no further issues, and if there were, that they would not be able to wriggle out of taking care of them. Scheduling the spring turn-on was... weird. Austin doesn't let you just call and make an appointment. I tried early in the season, but was told that since I was an existing customer, I had to wait until I received a letter in the mail to do so. So yes, if you're a new customer, you can make an appointment, but if you're an existing customer, you have to wait for them to let you know when it's okay to call? Strange. I never received a letter in the mail. I called back a few weeks later, and was told that all slots were full but that they'd see what they could do. I was given a time window, and since I have to take time off of work to stay home, asked for assurances that they would be on time. They were not. Again. The turn-on went without issue, and they said they replaced one sprinkler head, at $22. Seemed a bit steep, but whatever. The turn-on seemed to go fine, until I noticed two issues in the following weeks: one, certain sections of the garden area were dry, and secondly, a section of flower bed around the far side of the yard was oddly wet. They missed a turn-on valve in the garden completely, despite having turned it off in winter. More concernedly, the replaced sprinkler head? Completely wrong. After realizing I couldn't *see* the sprinkler any more, I investigated further. They replaced a small, 1" high elevated sprinkler head with a massive, heavy, *in-ground* sprinkler head, half a foot long and immense overkill. As soon as the water comes on, it pushes the 3' light PVC pipe flat to the ground, and the water just floods a small section. I'm going to have to replace the head at my own expense, and now have a $22 head that doesn't fit the rest of my system. I'll be looking elsewhere for winterization this year.

Showed up on time, asked me questions, noticed the new planting beds that I had installed over the Fall & started work in freezing weather. Did a huge amount of work the first day & with the weather change the next two days to very wet, had the entire project completed in 2.5 days total. They put micro sprinklers in very useful places which my foundation flower beds will really appreciate & the house will also- no more showers for the siding. I had originally thought to have the work done in two phases but after a lot of considering, decided to have it done all at once. This is a fairly large yard & has 7 zones which means no more dragging hoses 100"+ to parts of the yard. I am sure that my surgically repaired shoulders will appreciate setting a timer instead. Really happy with the installation & the time they took to leave the areas tidy. Awaiting dry weather so I can use it.

I regularly use them for irrigation system winterizing and for getting things turned back on in the spring. They knowledgeable, reliable and reasonably priced and I will continue to turn to them for this service.

Not often can one say above and beyond. They were punctual, efficient, fixed broken heads, cleaned around each pop-up, replaced drain valve, improved spray pattern and got it done in less than half the time of the other highly rated service and fixed the other services mistakes. Receptionist is a little quirky but worth it to get these techs.

Very disappointed in the lack of response and communication with this company. I will move on and give my business to someone that seems to care and want to earn my business!

Excellent from a to z. Mr. Bill Austin really knows what he is doing. His work crew is professional, experienced, and excellent as well. Everyone was nice. I would definitely use them again, and would recommend them heartily to anyone.

I love it. I was really happy because they have done it right. The girl who was on schedule is Debbie. The people there were great. Their price was reasonable.
