Rick was referred to us by the contractor we used to build a new patio cover. Since our family had used the contractor several times, with good results and he was a personal friend of my sister's I felt I could trust the recommendation. He described him as the BEST landscape contractor, at the best prices in town. Rick answered and responded to my request for a consult/bid right away. Most of the work was going to be performed in the back, but he was going to aerate the front, and over seed the front, which he said was ALL it needed to be every bit as gorgeous and the best looking lawn in our neighborhood. He had decent ideas for ways to spruce up a bland boring backyard ,within the budget we had. Including the most important element , a simple single rock bubbler to compliment the beautiful new cover. Overall, for our budget, he seemed to come up with a decent plan. He assured us that all the plantings were grown by him at his own nursery and that he would guarantee them for a full year, replacing any hat died. He also guaranteed the new sod in the back, and our happiness with the outcome of the front yard rejuvenation. He showed up and did the work he said he would. My impression while the work was bring performed (before he had been paid) was that he was one of the most responsive contractors we had worked with (albeit we haven't worked with many) Work was finished, it "looked good". He was to return the next morning to drop off something he had forgotten to bring but otherwise it was time to pay up. We did and told him we would see him the next day with the final piece (something to do with drainage covers??) The next day, he never showed. After a week or so passed we called. No answer. No return call. Mind you, in the big picture, it wasn't a big deal, other than he didn't live up to his word, or return our call. We let that part go. A few weeks later, we started seeing brown spots appear on our new sod. We left several messages for Rick with no return call. I finally called him from another # and he answered right away, (Caller ID) I told him about the spots, and without coming out to look, blamed them on our dog. Said it was urine burns. The dog is a 8 yr old male, that has peed on our grass all of his years without burning it. I insisted he come look. He did, eventually, after persistent calls. He said he would replace the areas of the sod that were dying, but asked that we give it some time so he could do it all at once. We agreed to wait until the summer was over. In the meantime, several plants have died. Again, I left repeated messages for Rick. Finally, using the unfamiliar # trick, he answered and promised to come out, take a look at what plants to replace and take care of it. As you can guess by now, he never showed. Over the course of the following months we called, repeated messages. On the rare occasion he answered, he apologized, made appointments, and never followed through. We eventually filed a report with the BBB. The didn't even respond to them. We considered filing a lawsuit against him but since it had cost us so much time and created so much stress in our lives we decided not to pursue it. I will warn anyone and everyone that I can however to avoid hiring him at all costs. He DOES NOT stand by his word once he has been paid. He will cut corners when you don't understand the proper ways to do things. Our front lawn "rejuvenation" was a joke, it still looks pathetic. It never did look any better after his "treatments" We also learned later that he just put some dirt over our existing backyard lawn and laid the sod on top of that. Also, we have been told by several reputable landscapers that there is a major drainage problem in the backyard since it was not leveled out. We will likely have to do some costly work to ever get the yard reinstalled properly. We will also (as money allows) be replacing the entire front lawn as well. We have since had all the dead plants removed by another company and may or not replace them as we were told by another firm that he over planted and once the young plants matured, they will be choking each other out. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Called "Rick" well in advance and set an appointment for the 10th of October at 4pm. At 420 pm I called "Rick" to find out if he was still coming. He did not answer his phone so I left a voicemail. A week has gone by with no return phone call. No call, no show. Extremely unprofessional. Not sure why Glenn Kincaid would recommend a business that just bails on potential customers with a no call, no show. Obviously I wouldn't recommend them.
Description of Work: Accurate Landscaping came highly recommended from Glenn down at GK's rentals in Camas, Wa. I was looking to get a bid on some sprinkler maintenance, winterization and overhaul on our 3 large ponds.
