Handy Does It

Last year, I moved into a home in the Port Orchard area and needed numerous jobs to be done on my home. I was lucky to find Bill Baunam of Handy Does It. Bill is punctual, honest and creative in finding the best solutions to get the job done in a cost-effective manner. Bill did a variety of project for me including installing: a 12 x 16 gazebo, three vents for my home’s exterior, numerous lights, moving an electrical outlet, installing a bird block and framing my unfinished door. When there were different ways to get the job done, he explained all options, along with the positives and negatives of each. Everything that Bill did came out perfectly and within the budget that we set for the project. If you need a handyman Bill is the person to call to get the job done right, at a fair price and without hassles.

Bill Bauman did a great job. He was always on time. He charges by the hour and he's working every minute; refusing breaks, preferring to continue with his task at hand. He's quiet and calm and proficient. We had quite a variety of projects and he completed each one flawlessly. He had to be creative in several of the projects and he came up with ingenious solutions. He will be our go-to person for any repairs, maintenance or remodels.

Bill was able to tackle numerous projects for us. All of the work he provided was excellent (carpentry and sheetrock beyond expectation). He consistently arrived and worked in a timely manner and was always friendly. He was able to advise / provide ideas that were value added. Work areas were left clean and organized. We would (and did) hire him for additional projects.

Bill does quality work at a fair price. He is very professional and conscientious. We highly recommend Bill.

He gave me estimates, of all the ways it could be accomplished. Gave me a really good estimate of what I could afford now ... with the possibility of more work done later. He is great!

Bill is meticulous, thoughtful and collaborative. He comes up with good cost-effective solutions, he gracefully managed add-ons, such as a through-the-wall air-conditioner install and drywall patching. He was very diligent about clearing up after each work session and removing debris.

Bill was great! he arrived on time and completed all the items on my list effectively and efficiently. His drywall patches are almost invisible, so I don't feel like I have to paint it right away

Arrived as agreed upon, finished work as expected

He was a hard worker and stayed longer than the time that we paid for, but that was due to him having a difficult time with the work. He had a hard time understanding the directions and drilled holes in the wrong place. I had to hand him the tools, which I didn't mind. I would hire him again for something less technical.

This was a $90 big deal. It did fine. The person who came out was helpful. It is just that the fee for that took way from what I had left to do the job. So I really did not have enough to do the job. I ended up just losing the money. I could not afford what needed to be done in the way that I wanted it to be done. It was no one's fault, but my own. I just did not have enough money. We talked about what I wanted done. No work was done at that time so it was more I was getting ready to do the work. The $90 got used but I did not have anything to show for it. But it is not his fault because we did need to talk about it and he gave me a lot of advice about what I could do and what I, maybe, shouldn't do. It was good information, but, it was $90. He came almost immediately after I purchased the deal. He called and we made an appointment for him to come, and he came. Of course, we spent two hours just discussing the project. I have a room that already has existing bookcases and I wanted some that looked like those so it would be standard. What that would cost, because my house was build in the late '70's would be more than I had. Then we started talking about lesser things which did not seem to be viable because I did not want it to look different. He did his job and told me what I wanted was more than what my budget was. He gave me other options. He did what he said he was going to do. I think the $90 was too much. He actually went out and did research and tried to get different materials that did not cost so much. He called me at least twice to tell me what he found out. He definitely knew what he was talking about. He always called me back when he said he would. He was always there on time. He came by the house the first time, but he made calls when he said he was going to.

Poor guy worked for seven hours without complaint.

Repairs were fixed in a timely manner and were completed to my satisfaction.

This job went superb. He was very knowledgeable and skilled, came prepared with the needed tools, honest, easy to work with, and did a fantastic job.

He was very good with moving. He was an extremely good mover. It was a good value. He was strong and he did exactly what he said. I would use him again for moving.

That was good. He did a good job. He was timely as far as I could recall. It was a positive experience. I found him to be at the go and honest. I would not have reservations to recommend him.

He was really good. Scheduling was good and he was great.

The service was wonderful. He did a great job. He came out several times and did a variety of different jobs over the last three or four weeks. Everything looks fantastic. I liked him and his work. He was meticulous and he cleaned up after himself which my wife was very picky about. There was never a mess or never anything dirty either during the job or at the end of the day.

Service turned out very well. He did a very good job. One window was heavily damaged and he did a very good job. He left the place very nice and clean. He did a very professional job. If I need any handyman work again, I would be calling him. He was very conscientious, very precise and very methodical in how he did his work.

It went very well. Nothing stood out good or bad. For the back splash, it took a little while but he did well. If I needed to, I will use them again.

It was excellent. I call them any chance I need any work done. I expect to see him again because I have another project I'm going to start. He did a good job of it. He has done that several times. Our neighborhood requires you to have cedar fences. I have a dog that love to get out. The fences in the neighborhood are old enough that they're falling apart that's why he's been out several times. He rebuilt several times a whole section of fence. Its just beautiful. He does great work. I haven't had anybody else repair my fence because he was the first person I called to do it. Then he did such a great job I called him every other time. I think the pricing is quite fair. I plan to use him again. I'm going to have him put a new flooring for me. I would recommend him to anybody that needs somebvody to do any kind of repairs or building.

Bill was great. He was punctual and was able to come up with creative solutions to problems I had been unable to fix.

He was great - able to literally think outside the box. A great person who knows what he is doing and will bend over backwards to get it the way you want.
