I had an issue with a leaking sprinkler system. I called Kevin on the weekend, but as it turned out he was away. That didn't stop him from trying to help. He texted me suggestions, and I texted him pictures until I finally got it shut down. He was out bright and early the following monday and made repairs for me. Great service Kevin, thanks!

In our previous contact, he has never been the most timely or professional but always managed to get the job done. This last contact, however, he promised to be out three seperate occasions and never showed. He didn't follow up to explain or reschedule either. It took me contacting him. As our due date is coming quick, we have now contacted another company to complet our backflow test and will likely not use him again.
Description of Work: For the last two years Kevin has been our sprinkler system guy, due solely on the fact his card was taped to our system when we moved in. He initially did an overview of ths system, winterized it, helped us turn it on and did our backflow test last year. This year we contacted him again about our backflow test.

Absolutely, false! Customer had 60 days from date of letter to get backflow test done. 30 days after that and the 30 days after that. I had tested their device last August for the third year. Customer does not need to be home and an appointment is not made for this service unless it is first time meeting. Which the first time they called for the backflow test I ended up repairing there valve wiring at NO Charge, adjusting sprinkler heads, replacing a broken head at corner of driveway, programming controller. No complaints Not even a Review on Angieslist for my extra effort. That Fall went out of my way to try and meet up with husband to show how to winterizing system which he was a bust so I just did that fall for them for base fee. Again no review! Last summer had back surgery for ruptured disc but managed to coordinate there backflow with no problems. Mind you this is a service that is not scheduled but is done when convenient! Worst year on record for dry weather ever , smoke advisory to not be outside this weekend, 17th wedding anniversary and customer sends email saying she is going to use someone else because deadline is fast approaching. My response was OK go ahead. So now she decides to leave a review but include a bunch of false information. Tell the truth. I did not want to do your test when you felt it needed to be done. I asked you to call someone else for $40.00 so you leave a negative review. Sad, very sad

Couldn't get the sprinklers or drip system to start. Water was on, but system wouldn't start watering. He was able to fiddle with it, check a few things, and get it working. He set up the schedule for us, too. He initially wasn't sure he'd be able to do anything other than look at it and put us on his list, but he took some time and got it started. He is now on our list to call for annual backflow testing, and line draining and restart every year! Going to have him install a Rainbird controller, too, as it's more user-friendly.
Description of Work: Kevin WAS quick!! He fit us into his busy schedule and helped us restart our sprinkler system. Pleasant, knowledgeable, and capable! Thank you, Kevin!

Kevin never did any work for me. I called him on May 6 to have him work on my broken sprinkler system (two timers won't work; one won't stop working). I spent some time discussing the issues with him. He said he was booked out through May 20. He also told me that he was on a job and would call me that evening to set up an appointment. He did not call. I had been hesitant to call him because of some of the other reviews regarding his "flakiness", so I did not bother to call him back. If he had wanted to do the work, he would have called me. I considered that he might have lost my number but he took my call from his cell phone which means he had caller ID and a record of all his calls. He could easily have called me if he wanted. If he ever does any work for you, he might do fine work; I just don't know because he never gave me a chance to find out.

Since I was in the middle of a repair I had asked Mr. [Member Name Removed] to text me his information so I could schedule the work and contact him in the future. I did not receive a text so I had figured that he had found someone else for the repair. Unfortunately, not all calls get logged with the name of the caller so I did not have his number logged. This time of season I receive numerous calls daily and unless I wished to call approx. 30 people back to find his number I could have. Many numbers show up as wireless caller, restricted, a number out of area since portability is now possible. Sorry for not making the connection with this customer.

Everything went well He was very professional and willing to help a rookie over the phone until he could get out to stop the leak.
Description of Work: I called Kevin for a leak I had in my irrigation system. I had called the city of Camas and they determined that it was a leak on our side of the water meter so it was our responsibility to fix it. They did not offer any suggestions such as I may want to turn off my water, just that it was my responsibility. Anyway, after a call to Kevin, he told me how to shut the water off without turning the water off to my home. He explained how to do it but I misunderstood and took pictures, sent them to him, and he called back immediately with instructions. He spent almost 20 minutes on the phone with me, walking me through the components of my system and I finally got the water on to the house and off to the area that was leaking. I will be calling him back for any repairs in the future.

I first contacted Kevin to have my sprinkler system backflow tested. He had some medical and family situatios at the time and was unable to perform the job, so I had to hire another company. That was understandable; but since then I've called and texted calling Kevin @ Watercourse Irrigation several times to come Winterize my sprinkler system and advised I would be a customer of his irrigation system package only to get empty set appointments and him never showing up. I don't think he wants my business or my money. If you're to busy and have to much business and need to reschedule just say so, but don't keep a potentially customer waiting to perform a needed service , especially one that was needed as the weather gets colder. I'll be looking for another company again, and probably going with them for all my landscaping and irrigation needs.

Every time I was contacted by [Member name removed] I either called or texted him. I also explained that in August I had fallen and was have difficulty doing backflow tests and other work and was pending to see a specialist for the issues I was having with my back and leg. I had continued to contact [Member name removed] but had let him know that I would get his system taken care. I had back surgery from a ruptured disc in October and was told to not bend the way I usually do for 6-8 weeks leaving me behind on winterizations. Our temperature will be 54 degrees today and if I felt that a issue with systems would be caused I would let people know so they could call someone else. I have now had 3 back surgeries and my health is going to be the most important thing or else I can"t do work for anyone. I am sorry to lose your business but it is probably for the best.

Because of my concern about a leak close to my foundation, Kevin arrived after usual buisness hours on his way home. He dug by hand through the mud until he was able to see the source of the leak. The discovered leak, being in the main supply line would involve more than a minor repair, so we shut the system down. Kevin would not accept any sort of payment for his time and expertise but we agreed to complete the repair after he recovered from surgery. I was very pleased with his concern and response to my problem, and look forward to completing the repair.
Description of Work: Kevin came out the night before his surgery to evaluate my concerns of a horrible water leak against my foundation.

Kevin worked a long time, checking each component and potential places for the water leak. He determined the leak was very small, discussed possible causes for the small leak. Kevin explained each and every step, and he dug in quite a few places to try to identify the leak. At the end, due to the hot weather, it was determined that such a small leak is potentially hard to find in such hot weather. We felt he really took the time, analyzed the situation, determined what he could. If the issue becomes bigger, we will call him when the weather becomes cooler in the fall time frame. Kevin is very professional and easy to work with.
Description of Work: Kevin came out to find a leak in the irrigation system, the city meter system determined that water was leaking.

Not well!!!!! I called Watercourse Irrigation and Landscaping, Inc. and the owner Kevin answered the phone. He clearly has caller ID and answered with, Hello Doug "Dark" which was making fun of my last name. I couldn't believe that a person in business would actually make fun of someone in this manner. I found his greeting to be completely unprofessional and let him know that I did not appreciate his attempt at humor and would not be doing any business with him.

Kevin (owner) was very responsive from the beginning. I discovered his company when I noticed him working on my neighbor's system. I approached him and asked him to come over to my house and take a look at my problem when he was finished at the neighbor's. He spent about 30 minutes checking various components of my system and determined he would need to set a formal appointment to come make the repairs. He contacted me the next day as promised and set an appointment. On the day of service he was punctual. He was very good at diagnosing the problem and fiixing it properly. He also was good at explaining what he was doing in a way I could understand. He was knowlegable, efficient, and affordable. He also used quality parts for my repair. I would definately use him again, and would recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: My residential irrigation system was not functioning. Kevin discovered that the electric wiring that connects the control panel with the main valve had been cut. He located the spot where the wires were severed, dug them up and repaired them. The system's functionality was then completely restored.

I knew it was leaking but I didn't know how bad until the city showed up and told me that I needed to get it fixed. He didn't come out right away but he came out pretty quickly. It wasn't a huge emergency. He was great. It turned out to be a really cost effective fix so I was pleased and would use them again.

They removed the old system and rebuilt it. The system is now working great. Kevin is very willing to to work with with customers to do whatever modifications it takes to make them happy. I've been very happy with Watercourse when they did a couple other small projects for me and I definitely will call them again.

We were so very unhappy with Kevin Quick. He promised a lot and then took a very very long time to do everything. The worst part for me was the mess that would be left at the end of the day, tools thrown everywhere, projects half complete and getting here late in the day, every time. I felt he was very unprofessional, he always had excuses for things, and he wanted to work with my husband, not with me. I also felt that he shared too much personal information. In the end we got our sprinklers finished because we gave him a deadline, then we hired some high school boys (my husband coaches soccer) to help lay the sod. He is completely unrealistic with his time management, it would have gone on another week if we hadn't stepped in. We were constantly asking, when will this or that be complete and the answer we received would never be what actually happened. The project was started in June and finished inSeptember, which is why we had to do sod. I also felt that he overreacted to my questions about changes. He was the one constantly telling us to do this or that to our house, but then he would get all upset when i thought of something different. In the end I felt like my yard had been high jacked. It was Kevin's way or the highway. I drew up a plan for the yard and the saddest part for me was that he never did the side yard. he got so in over his head, that we ended up with a stupid drip system on one side of the house and no pavers as i had put on the original plan and the original scope of work. We have since had two broken sprinklers, because he didn't use pipe to bring them out, he used a hose, they are always falling over in the backyard, and so many spots don't get watered correctly. So we have quite a few dead plants. We have also had a h*** of a time with the watering system. It mysteriously waters twice a day and have tried multiple times to fix it and can't. In fact, the reason I'm writing this now is because I just got on Angie's List to find someone to fix the many problems and he was the first one listed!! I'm appalled. Run from this guy. Run.

I either answer my phone personally, or return my calls in a timely fashion if a number is left or caller ID from local area I can call back within 10 minutes if I miss the call. I believe a mistake has been made with another company. Angies list resolution department is working on resolving this honest mistake. Sometimes a name is familiar but not for the reason we think!

Initially there was confusion about when Kevin would come out. I thought it was the 19th but Kevin had on his schedule the 26th. However when I called on the 19th and spoke with Kevin he didn't hesitate to make sure he got to me on the 19th. I needed my sprinkler system repaired. It only took Kevin a few minutes to find the problem. While he fixed the problem, Kevin pointed out areas where we might have problems in the future. Such as the roots of a plant invading the sprinkler pipes. Overall, I was very pleased with his work and hope to use him again for maintenance and landscaping of our back yard.

Several years ago I had a different contractor convert one zone of our sprinkler system to a drip. It never worked properly and we had to water the garden area by hand in addition to running the drip system. Watercourse Irrigation (Kevin and Jim) came out and explained the problem and then made the repairs. It is now working well. They did a great job and I would hire them again.

A few years ago we converted a portion of our yard to a garden area. Part of this project was to change one of the zones on our sprinkler system from sprinkler heads to a drip system. The original drip system was not installed properly and the original installer also used the wrong flow/pressure regulator. The drip system never operated properly and we had to water most of the garden area by hand in addition to running the drip system. Watercourse Irrigation (Kevin and Jim) checked the system, explained to me why I was having problems, and made the necessary repairs. The system is now working very well and I'm very happy with the service and the value I received from Watercourse Irrigation. It's great to be able to forget about watering and just enjoy the garden.

Kevin was very professional and he showed up at the agreed upon time. I had questions about my sprinkler system and he was very good at explaining why I was experiencing some of the water issues I was concerned about. He was also helpful in giving me suggestions and providing solutions for some other house issues I inquired about. So far he has winterized my sprinkler system, but I'm looking forward to working with him this Spring when he comes to turn the system back on and ensure that everything is working properly. I'm also planning on working with him on some other landscape issues.
Description of Work: Kevin Quick met with me to winterize my sprinkler system. He was very helpful in making suggestions for some landscaping and water issues I was experiencing. I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Due to the time of year I was only able to work with him with my sprinkler system, but will use him this Spring to help address some of the other issues we discussed. He was very good at staying in touch to further discuss his approach and timing on getting these issues taken care of. His pricing is reasonable for the time and materials involved to complete the project. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Gave them a call and they came out. Contacted them yesterday and they came out today and did more than what we expected. Very knowledgable and great to work with. The work presented a problem and Kevin took the time to diagnose the problems and repair them. All of the additional time was done within the original bid. I did authorize additional work and that was performed satisfactorily. Kevin is a true craftsman. He knows what it takes to get the job done. I have had sprinlkler systems repaired and/or installed before. Kevin is the best I have ever used. His professionalism is evident and he "gets the jobe done".

Their service was completely awful and totally unsatisfactory. A part of the problem was when the guy came out in April, my wife was trying to beat the busy season and she exacted a strict promise from him that he can have the job done by the end of May, and he kept putting it off and putting it off, and it was well into June when we finally got exasperated and told him to not bother to come back. So, we just fired the guy and hired another guy that came out. We had to get the work done as the summer was upon us and a part of the reason that my wife wanted it was because of her landscaping project and she wanted to get it done early in the season so as not to disrupt the growing and blossoming plants, and not to have people tramping around in it. It turned out that a lot of what the first guy did was wrong. The second guy re-did a lot of it and we are pretty happy now with the job that has been done.

Every effort was made to work with this customer regarding their landscaping. Great care was taken while doing the work not to cause any damage to her plantings or yard. The customer wanted to install the drip emmitters themselves which I advised against! That is when the system no longer was functioning as designed and I was not able to move forward with this customer to find out what the issue was with the system. I was willing to stand behind any and all of my work and do what I needed so they were happy and recieved a functioning system. Sorry they chose someone else to come out.
