I hired them to build a 16x20 ft paver patio in August of 2022, by the end of April 2023 the project manager told me there is not much more they could do to make the patio better and I had to pay them the full amount. Even though they claim to have many years of experience, the low quality of craftsmanship does not reflect their years of experience. The patio is not square and there are many visible gaps in between pavers making it an eye sore and everyone that comes to visit is always surprised to hear the amount of money I payed for the project. It has been a very expensive lesson learned for me

Great work. They cane out right away for the estimate and got the job done quickly. Cleaned up site, couldn’t even tell they were in my yard except for the nice retaining wall. Would definitely recommend.

Vulcan Design landscaped our front and back yard. They removed old dirt, brought in fresh soil, leveled everything, then laid down grass seed. They also built a beautiful paver pathway to our fire pit area. They also installed a small retaining wall in the front yard that looks perfect! I highly recommend this company, they do great work.

we hired Vulcan in July 2017 for a new paver patio we did not hear from them until the end of October. We asked them to wait to install until the spring of 2018 but when i came home one day in October my deck was gone and my patio was broken so, we decided we had no choice but to move forward. Once they had the deck removed they started removing the dirt and instead of hauling it away they started dumping it in the green space behind our home which was not discussed or something that we would allow. The customer service was not the best and the price was higher than most.

Eric and his company are very professional and committed to completing the work to the customer’s satisfaction. They are great about answering phone calls and messages. Costs a bit more than doing yourself, obviously, but much quicker and easier on our aging bodies. ?

Jamie, the owner, and Priscilla, his right-hand gal and fiancee, pulled it out of the fire..of poor communication by the other guys. I'll bet Jamie fixed that lapse PDQ...Work crew showed up on time, did the construction of the foundation of our shed, and all looks good. Jackie Magner for son's project in Portland

These guys are great! They were very helpful with ideas, concepts, and receptive to collaboration when questions or issues arose. I did experience several delays, some were expected as I was told in advance, sometimes I was not. But when I was picky about certain features and requested changes, they did so with enthusiasm. When we realized the patio roof was so high that rain easily blew in under it, Eric decided that install a gutter at no cost to be sure my new space was truly usable year-round. Issues will always arise in construction. What counts is how the contractor responds. These guys are PRO!

Vulcan made sure to do the work to our satisfaction. They did a beautiful job and we love the deck roof.

Fair and Honest

I love my new outdoor living space. We sit out side 5 days a week. Gas fire pit was done so beautifully, always on. Project done on time. Communication was clear. Really no issues with project. The paver stones that extended the living space are so gorgeous. I recommend Hiring Vulcan Design. All around wonderfull job. Took care of all other contractors that were involved. Had a hard time getting someone to install a gutter for us. Vulcan had a company come out within a week and install the gutters for us. Above and beyond. Wonderful company and crew.

I was delighted with the results of my deck replacement. The design that they proposed and executed looks great and is far better than what I originally proposed. The company was great to work with (pleasant and responded promptly to questions that I texted). The workmen were efficient, completed the job on-time, and left the site cleaned up. Overall the finished deck and the project as a whole exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Vulcan Design & Construction and in fact plan to hire them to perform additional work on my house.

Very pleased with the retaining wall and paver patio work thus far. Great project management from start to finish. Job site always clean and tidy at the end of the day. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had an iron railing installed on stone stairs in my yard. Claude did the work and I must say he listened and understood what I wanted. He is very talented. He had the best ideas which made my idea even better. The posts are black iron with loops on the top of each one. I have 2" manila rope threaded through the loops. It looks great and I get compliments on the railing.
