Treewise

Once on site, everything was great. We have used Treewise in the past and communication and everything was topnotch. The service this time was top notch, but there were some communication breakdowns this time around. But after arriving on site, the job was done as good as I could possibly imagine.

The crew was prompt. They removed two trees in about 4 hours. When they left the job site was cleaner than it was when they got there. They have definitely earned my future business.

I felt that they were excellent. They had come highly recommended. They were very good, highly professional, personable, quick, and cleaned up well. My site is difficult and they appeared to handle everything very quickly and very well. It felt like they were a real team, and there was no sense that people were just running a muck. I would recommend them. They also wired a big tree together, which as important. They were experienced and a good firm!

They were here on time. They worked fast but safe and the tree was down, stump ground and everything cleaned up in a couple of hours. It was a good experience from initial contact and quote to finish. Their cost was extremely reasonable considering the work that was done.

Got several bids and decided to go with another company. However, Scott was punctual, pleasant, professional in his assessment, and provided excellent explanations of what his company could do.

This work was additional preventative maintenance by Treewise on three large/tall Douglas firs. When the first project Treewise did for us concluded, we requested and received a quote for this follow-up work. Several months later we were able to proceed and as satisfied previous customers, did not feel competitive bids were necessary. The quote seemed reasonable for the scope and technical nature of the work. Scott scheduled our project less than two weeks out; more than acceptable to us given that this is their busy season. A four person crew arrived when they said they would and after reviewing the scope of work with me, got right to work. The excellent job they did before was repeated here. They worked hard, but weren't rushed. A lot of high technical climbing and rigging was needed, so we got to see their good safety skills. During the project, they cheerfully discussed with me how things were going, and provided some consultation on the health of the trees, long term maintenance, etc. They cleaned up the debris better than we expected, including stacking all the pruned limbs exactly where we wanted them, a bit further from where they were cut. When the main work was done, they cheerfully did a couple of small maintenance tasks we previously agreed on, and then confirmed with us that everything was completed to our satisfaction. These are a great group of guys, we appreciate their skill, work ethic and safety practices. They care about our trees and enjoy working on them. We will continue to use Treewise for all arborculture work on our property.

During a windstorm a very large ash in my front yard split, with half landing on my car. The remainder of the tree was still standing but I was very worried about it. This was a Sunday afternoon, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find anyone available. I called Treewise after an internet search. Scott and his wife were shopping, and dropped everything to get over to my house. There were there within 15 minutes of my call. He assured me the remains of the tree weren't going to fall right away, and had his crew there within an hour to clear the down section. They returned a day or so later and removed the rest, including grinding the stump. They were friendly, professional, had all necessary equipment, and did an amazing job cleaning up the debris. My neighbors enjoyed watching and referred to their climber as the "tree ninja". I have used them to prune a cherry tree since then and that also was done well. I'll be using them for any and all tree work in the future.

We are repeat customers of Treewise and hired them back for a brief consultation on one of our large douglas firs that had surface roots in the way of a planned retaining wall. We wanted to know what roots, if any, could be safely removed without damaging the tree. Scott at Treewise provided a preliminary answer from photos we sent him, but it was apparent we needed him on site. Scott was very accommodating to our schedule, considering the busy season for Treewise had already started. In fact, he showed up a day early, which we were aware he may do. Scott discussed the tree root issue with us thoroughly and provided the guidance we needed to move forward with our retaining wall project. He also made time to discuss a few other arborculture issues on our property and we didn't all feel like he was "on the clock". Although this was a simple consultation, it was our second experience with Treewise that provided good value, and was exactly what we needed, when we needed it. We plan to use Treewise again in the future for a larger tree maintenance project.

.Several months earlier, we hired an arborist to prune two giant sequoia trees, one in our front yard, one in the back. That arborist determined that our back yard tree had a problem and returned to test the trunk and found that the lower trunk had significant rot and should be removed. He quoted a price, but hauling away the wood or stump grinding would be extra--and he said we'd have to have the power company remove the line to our house for a day or two. Once we saved enough money to get the job done, we decided to get another bid and used AngiesList to contact Treewise. That evening, Scott Clifton dropped by, looked at our tree and lot, and said he'd have a quote to us shortly. We received a quote, I believe, the next day from Robyn Clifton. The quote included wood removal and stump grinding--and did not require the dropping of the power line. The AngiesList comments were good about this company, so we hired them based on price, responsiveness, professionalism, and, quite frankly, how we got along with Scott. Prior to start of work, Scott, by our request, provided an arborist report that was required by the county in lieu of a permit. The start time and date was set--and the crew was early! Early! My wife said that's something we've never experienced before with contractors-- who are quite often slaves to overruns in their schedules. The crew consisted of two of Scott's sons (one of whom was due to become a new daddy very, very soon--with twins!) and another crew member -- all of whom were very courteous, professional, and hard-working. They got our neighbor's permission to go into her yard during the removal process and they cleaned up her yard later. The tree was difficult...large with a very small fall space around it. They got the tree limbed and chipped, the trunk cut down (revealing a LOT of rot at the base of the tree) on the first day. The next day they had to bring in an excavator to haul the wood and then ground the stump and cleaned up after themselves. The site fared far better than I thought it would. Scott and his crew will have any business I have concerning trees from here on out. It was a pleasure to meet him and his boys as well.

We selected Treewise as a candidate for this work based on Angie's List reviews and their website. Their office staff was friendly and helpful in our initial call scheduled an initial consult for the next day. Their Certified Arborist (Scott) and another staff arrived on time for the initial consult; we appreciated the time they spent with us to scope out the work. Their itemized quote, e-mailed the following morning, was well presented and priced in line with expectations. Scott was very responsive by e-mail with answers to questions and a few minor changes on the quote. The only other quote we received for this work was much higher than the Treewise quote and was not seriously considered. We accepted the Treewise quote and our work scheduled for the following week, meeting our expectations. A well-equipped four-person crew arrived as scheduled. Scott the Certified Arborist and Justin the Operations Manager confirmed the work to be done and consulted with us on some of the exact details and expectations, such as pruning and exact location for stump grinding. From the start, Treewise worked as an efficient and professional team. They welcomed our suggestions and overall presented a spirit of collaboration with us. They were a great group of guys to have on this project, personable/approachable yet focused on doing a good job. We respect the good quality of their work. They also did a few minor things at no extra cost that weren't on the quote, but which improved the overall project, and we really appreciated. Overall our experience with Treewise was great. They provided good value for the amount of money spent. We're thankful for their good work and plan to have them out again soon for preventative maintenance on some larger trees.

They removed a tree that had outgrown the space close to the house. After the tree was cut down, they used a machine to remove the trunk. Then they smoothed the ground so you couldn't tell anything had happened there. Two other smaller trees were cut down also. The crew arrived on time and all were outfitted with safety gear. All branches and leaves were picked up and taken away and they even dusted off the house and walkway with a blower. This company was great to deal with and they do return your calls!

Responded to my inquiry the same day I called with a very reasonable bid. Promptly arrived the next day at the time agreed upon and performed all the work with very minimal direction needed from me. When done it was apparent the work was obviously done by tree professionals. Truly an excellent job enhancing the appearance of all the trees.
