Top Notch Carpet Cleaning

I called James and described the areas to be cleaned and we agreed to a price over the phone. We set a time and date about four days out. He called that day and said he could come early if that was convenient for me. He came in, surveyed the carpets, told us the process and asked where would I like him to start. We had sold some furniture and moved the other movable pieces before James arrived. It saved us approx. $30.00. He cleaned the spots off the carpets and steamed them clean. I was impressed that he did not try to up sell any add-on products. He said that we did not need to add Scotchgard this time because the carpets were not that old and looked good. He was done in about 2 hours and the carpets were dry in about 12 hours. We found James to be friendly, honest (he told us approx. cost of all products and services) and reliable. He also offered recommendations on cleaning supplies, and other vendors for special projects.

Top Knotch arrived a little early for the appointment, worked hard the entire time and charged the estimated price.

James gave an estimate that was significantly lower than anyone else's, and then he ended up charging us even less than that! He figured out that the total square footage he would really be cleaning was slightly less than what he had estimated, so he kept the cost very low. Yet he did a great job! He was exactly on time when he arrived, took exactly the promised two hours to do the job, caused very little disruption to the household in doing the job, and was very polite, professional, friendly and straightforward. He did his best with some severe pet stains, and those were much better afterward (he offered to come back at no charge and use a more serious chemical on them later, if we wanted him to; a trace smell remained--much better than before, and we haven't decided whether to have him do more on those). The carpets were fantastic afterward! They looked brand new! And all for a very low price. We strongly recommend Top Notch!

They were easy to reach and set up an appointment about a week away. They arrived on time and finished the job quickly. When the carpet dried we noticed some dirty areas. I called them back and told them the problem. They came back out the next day and cleaned again. He said that the hose must have been clogged or something and that they had a very low call back rate. The carpet looked great after the second trip and we are pleased with this company.

My previous roommate had two dogs that were less than well house trained. Her room had an odor that made it unlivable. James was on time, professional, and he put deodorizer and stain remover through the whole house at no extra charge. A couple stains came back and a little odor remained in one room. He came back and fixed the problem at no charge and no questions. To do the same job myself would have taken 4-5 days. This was money well spent! I will definitely hire Top Notch Carpet Cleaning again.

Adjusted his schedule to fit ours. House smelled and looked clean (renters had both cat and dog). Several spots/stains remaining but were probably there when carpets last cleaned in 2004. When queried, said he would stop back and look at one room when working in our area but hasn't made it yet (after one month).

VERY WELL! JAMES AND HIS ASSISTANT ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME, WERE VERY CAREFUL AND WORKED EXTREMELY HARD ON STUBBORN STAINS. HE DID NOT UP CHARGE FOR ANY OF THE EXTRA WORK HE DID. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH HIS WORK.

Great service! I called in the morning and James was able to fit me in the same afternoon. I received a 20% discount for having moved the furniture myself. He was quick, clean, friendly and did a great job. There are still a few stains that will never come out (bleach?), but for the most part, the carpets are cleaner than they have been in years.

Very well. James arrived early and was laid back about the fact that I was still moving small furniture out of his way. He was very personable and pretreated the entire area before cleaning it since I have a dog and a cat who contribute to the carpet "dirt". The carpet and pillow came out beautifully.

Mr. Marsh came to the house, inspected the job and gave me an estimate on the carpet. We agreed to have the furniture done later. He showed up when agreed, completed the job satisfactorily, was informative and professional. He works alone and I had to help move a couple pieces of furniture, but I did not find that a problem. The only thing we couldn't move was the king-sized bed.

James is a very personable guy. He searched for pet urine stains and applied special treatment at no extra charge. He offered a discount through Angie's list, but ended up doing some extra work (cleaned a large "cat tree"), so it ended up at the original estimate. Good price for solid work.

There were some stains in the carpet, that she worked on. She sprayed on spot removers etc, with some effect, but the stains are still there. In the case of rust stains, it looked like they were lighter, but more spread out. I think she was optimistic, but with an older carpet, old stains are pretty permanent. Everything was dry by the next day, and clean.

Arrived on time, pretreated carpet, cleaned the carpet. Carpet looks good! Unable to get one stain out, but he warned me it wouldn't come out. Very pleased!

James is great. He does an outstanding job (he's fighting heavy usage in a small area and 3 elderly dogs). He's good humored about the dogs, thorough, and quick. He's also honest. He's cleaned my carpets for over a decade, dealing with dogs, a move, floods and other disasters, etc. He's also on time and available within a reasonable period of time.

Mr. James Marsh, the owner-operator, was very much top notch as the name of his company advertises. He was very courteous and accommodating to talk on the phone with and arranging an appointment was easy. He was very prompt on his arrival. He did not waste anytime and was at work. He was very professional in every way. The cleaning job was done perfectly. I would highly recommend his services.

This was a good experience. I called James for the cleaning, he was able to come on the day I asked for. Since I was not going to be there when he arrived, we set up a way for him to get in the house and to give him his payment. He called me at work to tell me he was on his way to the house (he was ahead of schedule) and to ask if there was anything he should focus on and asked for any last minute direction. Since I couldn't meet him there, he told me to call if I wasn't happy with any of his work and he would take care of it. I had no problems, the carpets look great, and James has another satisfied customer.

This is the first time I have used Top Notch. I got an appointment quickly. James called when he realized he was going to be about 20 minutes late. I appreciated that courtesy. He did an excellent, thorough job. I am very happy with the results. I would definitely use this service again.

I called James and got a quote over the phone for $60.00 to clean two rooms. Since I only had one room to clean, he would also clean an area rug as well for the same price. James arrived right on time, once he examined the carpet, he explained the whole cleaning process and started to work. He did a great job and there is no more smell.

I am so very pleased. I called on Monday and got an appt for 1 pm on Wed. Tues James called and asked if he could make it earlier as he had a cancellation and that wasn't a problem for me. The carpets turned out really well. The family room was just typical traffic and wear, but the living room and stairs were a disaster. James told me he would charge based upon how much work he had to perform (ie. moving furniture, vacuuming etc.). We moved most of the furniture and vacuumed prior to his arrival. James pretreated everything and got to work. The job took about two hours and turned out so much better than I expected. He told me some stains may come back up and if I was the least bit dissatisfied to call and he would come out again at no charge. The work was performed on a Wednesday and I kept expecting stains to resurface - they never did. We had a party on Saturday and the carpet still looked great. I would be happy to recommend Top Notch to anyone and will certainly be calling again.

Absolutely would recommend to anyone wanting carpets cleaned. we were moving into a new home and didn't know until the last minute when we could get into the house to clean the carpets. James went out of his way to make sure to get it done in such short notice, on valentines day, no less. We called him that morning and he came out that afternoon to do the carpets. We knew that were we on a limited time limit and that he had plans for the evening. When we arrived at the new house we discovered that the water had been turned off. Instead of giving up and rescheduling, he did all he could to help us out, luckily we were able to get the water dept out and get the water turned back on. He did a fantastic job and I will definitely hire him again. If he reads this, I want to say thanks and I hope you weren't too late for you dinner plans that evening. :o)
