Top Notch Carpet Cleaning

Good quote over phone, set up time and day for the next week, arrived within 10 minutes of scheduled time. We had moved everything that needed moving prior to his arriving. He came in introduced himself, and his procedure for doing the job. Sprayed cleaner on all carpet surface. Steam cleaned all carpet, told us the best way to dry it faster with fans. Gave us bill as quoted and said as he left if we had any problems with anything he did to call and he would come right back and make it right. There were no problems and we totally enjoyed the process and meeting a hard working, nice gentleman. A+++++ rating

Cleaning the carpets for such a reasonable price was the least of James' accomplishments. Our house sits high above the street, and the only close access is through a low, open-backed garage. That was too small for the Top Notch van, and Plan B--the nearest neighbor's driveway--was out because they'd just poured concrete. James scouted a third driveway, got the truck as close to our house as he could, and then snaked all those miles of hoses up and across the neighbor's deck, through the fence, in the front door, and up a flight of stairs. He made at least a dozen trips back and forth over this route himself, and just laughed about it. A hero of carpet cleaning!

He was very neat and organized. He told us to make sure we called him if any spots start to show, and his pricing was also fair.

Great! James was quick to get us in his schedule and did an excellent job. The carpets look and smell great. I was worried about off-gassing, but it was fine. We left all the windows open that night and it was dry the next day.

Just after I had made the appointment, I spilled an electric pencil sharpener on the carpet in the office and there was a 6"diameter circle of black graphite lead that horrified me. James was able to clean it so that no one would ever know it had been there. I especially liked that he was 10 minutes early for his 8AM appointment - a most unusual trait for service people. He went about his work in a friendly manner, chatting and smiling yet always concentrating on the job at hand. He is very conscientious and his work ethic is exceptional. He also recommended two outstanding Oriental Rug cleaners to me and gave me a brief rundown of each for my future reference.I will recommend him without hesitation to everyone wanting a truly professional job on their carpeting and furnishings.

I thought it went very well. He appeared to be very honest because when I asked him if he did upholstery on few select pieces, he said that one of them is an antique and he wasn't comfortable doing that but he knew of a guy that might be able to do it. He could have taken us for a ride, but he didn't.

I had a different company no-show on two different occasions. I was in a bit of a panic because my new furniture arrives on Friday. I called Top Notch around 11am and they were here at 3:30pm the same day. He did the work in less than an hour and charged me less than he had quoted me on the phone. He was very personable and professional. I'll recommend him in a minute!

I called the company on Tuesday and left a message. He called back the same day, and we set up an appt. for Thursday. I told him I estimated the square footage to be about 1,000, since my house has 1600 square feet, but the 2nd floor is an L-shaped loft, leaving the living room vaulted to the roof. He suggested it was probably not that much because of the kitchen and bathroom. He estimated $100, said that would be the highest likely cost. He arrived promptly on Thursday, was very cordial, and worked quickly. I had asked him to vacuum first (following my vacuuming before he arrived), which he did. I was amazed at the change in the color of my carpet as he cleaned section after section. It only took him an hour or two, the fee was indeed $100.00. I even asked his advice about vacuum cleaners. It was a good experience.

The carpet had been cleaned by another company about six months ago, but it still looked very dirty, especially in the most-used areas. There was also an area that had been used by some cats and still contained a very strong urine odor. James arrived promptly on time, and we took him on a tour of all that we wanted done. He listened carefully to our comments and wishes. He then set to work and completely finished the task within the time frame he had previously determined. He offered suggestions, and asked several times if we wanted certain pieces of furniture moved or not. He was friendly, courteous, but always very professional. He had his own water tank on his truck to use for the washing, so didn't need to use our water at all. We were impressed with his work and would definitely have him return for a future cleaning.
