The two man crew was very professional and thorough during the whole project, with the office checking in on their progress daily to be aware of any problems. With a soggy start of this project due to heavy rains, the crew still managed to meet their goals for the day. They were prompt in arriving to work and made adjustments working late and extra days when the need arose. We were happy that we could easily talk with the crew without seeming to be in their way and communication was pretty important to us with our install/materials requests. One request was 1/2" spacing between deck boards due to large trees and their mess, as we were looking for minimal maintenance chores (no more deck flossing). They also made tools to make sure all boards were evenly spaced which worked out great. When the deck was complete we were very happy with the quality of workmanship, visual effects and the easy of sweeping the deck clean. After the deck construction Straightline then arranged for the railings project. We have received many compliments on the deck from friends which we would easily refer Straightline again.

The actual construction work was excellent. All employees were careful and courteous at all times. They cleaned up every night and were careful with the animals in the house. The work was done in the estimated amount of time. The quality of the work was also excellent. I would definitely welcome them back. The scheduling and appointment experience was a bit different. There were a couple of miss understandings about the 1st meeting date and time, It was difficult to pin down the construction start date and the start date for the painting of the siding. It took several calls to get the information. We did have a couple of follow up questions which were eventually answered but again we had to call about them a couple of times. Overall I would still evaluate the experience as Good to Excellent. Just be patient and make sure to call if there are any questions.

Jonathan met us at the job site and took all the measurements. Emailed us the bid within 2 weeks. He came back out and presented the window options and we signed up for there bank financing which went smooth. Everything else went as planned, with a few bumps along the way which happens. Make sure when you have doors installed you also choose the correct finish of door hinges and locks. He contracted with Revolution Painting to paint the exterior which went extremely well and like the results.

The crew was very punctual even though the first day of work was delayed by freezing road conditions in the area and would not allow them to get to the jobsite, after that small delay things went well and timely. When work was being performed there appeared to be no lags or deadtime, materials were delivered prior to the start. We were kept informed pretty well if there was any hitches to the tasks. In all, things went as well as planned by Jonathan Tutt (project mananger), and us with the job costs as bid except for a pricing conflict with the painting team but this was resolved quickly between Jonathan and the painter. We had expected to wait several weeks before painting could be done (weather permitting), but the job was done sooner. I would use this company again for future work.

Lots of moving parts all at once but they were quick, informative, clean and nice. Scott was very responsive throughout the entire process even as it related to subcontractors and answered all of our questions.

Overall, Straight Line did a great job on our house. The only downside was that the owner, Jonathan, was hard to get in touch with at times. The crew that did the work showed up on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up everything when done. They were courteous, e.g. took off their shoes when working inside and were happy to answer questions that I had.

Overall the work was excellent and done as promised. They were careful to not damage the landscaping and did not leave a mess. This was difficult because it rained hard for several days. The workers were responsive to my requests and always followed up. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

They worked with my budget and worked in the rain and did a pretty clean job. Kind of wish next time to do it when the weather was nicer. Good for my lawn and the workers. They did the project on time and would use again.

The quote was great from Jonathan. We added a few items to the job not included in the original quote. It was hard to get the price for these items set. He also missed a window in his estimate but was very fair & honest about it. Got the window at cost with free installation. A full crew of workers came and got the siding & windows off the house in one day and the house wrapped so the rain would not damage the structure. They were quick and efficient in doing their work and came back several times to fix issues that came up. I felt they could have cleaned up better after the job was done. Found a lot of nails and other garbage around the property that should have been picked up before they left. All of the workers were very nice to work with and put up with me out there taking all kinds of pictures to document the work. They did a really good job on the house and it looks great!

Recently bought a house built with hardie plank siding in ~2005 and I knew that the hardie wasn't put up to code. I called many different places and found that Jonathan at Straightline was the most knowledgeable when it came to hardie and its installation (I had done extensive research on it so I knew). He came out and gave me a great quote....I had them start a little late in the summer (beginning of fall), but once they finished bringing the house up to code (installing correct z flashing on trims, etc, removing only the boards to fix up to code)...I was very happy. The only issue I had was that I was led to believe that the painting would be done sometime shortly after the siding job, but once the siding job was done....I found out I was ~3rd or 4th on the list for painting. After waiting for ~1month, I found another painting contractor who could do my house over a two nice day period and they let me out of my paint contract...which I appreciated. I loved the bid process and siding job with them, however I would have liked to know where I would stand with painting prior to having a job started as it was getting into winter and I wouldnt have done the job until spring if I couldnt get my house painted.

I called Jonathan to fix a hole in our house that a woodpecker had created. During the initial consultation, he was very professional and knowledgeable. He pointed out another issue the house had and explained why that needed to be fixed. I emailed Jonathan several times to get the project scheduled and he would respond by telling me his company was busy but he would have it scheduled "within a couple of weeks". Several weeks would go by and I would not hear from him. I would follow up with another email and the same thing would happen. The last email I sent to him I simply asked him if he still wanted to do the project and if not, to please let me know so I could find someone else to do it. He never responded to that email.

Excellent work... professional. Lived up to expectation. When I asked for some changes later, they worked on it without complaint or extra charges.

They were the ones who gave the most detailed estimate. They were professional. I would use them again in the future.

They didn't even show up for the appointment they scheduled us for. They also didn't bother to call and let us know that they weren't coming, so we ruined the day waiting for the estimate to happen. I wouldn't bother with these guys again.

They cleaned up after themselves. They then took all the debris away. They also redid some of our water faucets for us as well. They have excellent customer service, they spent extra time with us helping us know what they were going to do.

We used them in July. Everything about the salesperson (who is one of the owners) was bad. He quoted us a price, then came by on a second occasion asking us what he quoted us. we couldnt find the quote. He went to his car, spent a ton of time out there, then came back in and quoted a price saying he found it on his phone. Later that day we found the original quote which showed his original quote as $1k less. This is what I came to consistently expect out of Jonathan. He would always over promise and never come through. He was supposed to fan our porch stairs out at a 30 degree angle (was in the contract) and they got terminated without any curvature. I called him on this and he balked at doing it. He said the price was so low we should be to deal with it given it'd cost him so much to get his guys out to rebuild it to spec. He then started listing all these things they did over the top of the intended work (NONE of which were true). He said he did a lead based cleanup and examination on the home at no charge. He couldnt supply me with a lead lab test result. His people didnt even put down plastic around the house during tear down and reconstruction so not only did he take ZERO interest in lead sensitivity, his people trampled our garden and plants to death and I had to spend two days going around with a magnet and rake to remove all the nails and debris they spread all around. When they did all this work it rained one night. they didnt cover our partially finished roof with enough plastic and we came home that evening to water all over our floors in two rooms. In both rooms we had ceiling lights full of water. poor preparation for leaving! I just found out this week that part of what Straightline was done against code. they did all this work last summer. the first time we got a good rain the garage started leaking. I once again called Jonathan and left a message. It took him about one week to get back to me and he was full of praise for his roof guys and wouldnt get over the idea that he never had any roof problems to address my concerns. He reluctantly sent someone out. We agreed Id contact them later if things persisted. Its not RAINY and the roof seems to be leaking again. Im reluctant to call them. Im gonna call a different roofing company and have them give me advice. I dont trust Straightline. After typing this out, I realize I shouldve given them an overall rating of D. I originally posted a C. Most of my reasoning for giving them a C was because the price was very affordable. I would now say looking back that the price wasnt all that affordable given we got poor/faulty service. I shouldve lived by the wise old saying, "you get what you pay for". Dont hire this company if you are looking for a quality job. They under estimate to get your business and will tell you their service quality is second to none. Based on my experience, they will deliver only a mediocre quality job, they will not do the least bit to keep your site clean, they will straight up lie to you and they will make you feel like they did you extra favors when you call them on things they didnt do in attempts to stop you from having them come out to fix something.

I think I am going to use them. They gave us a presentation and I think they did as well as anyone without taking a whole bunch of time. It was pretty easy to get them out for the estimate; I just had to call.

The whole experience went well from beginning to end. Jonathan came out and looked at our job and later presented us with the bid. He had many options and recommendations that I had not previously thought about and were not brought up from other companies that gave us bids. The workmen that installed the siding were all very professional and receptive questions during the job. The install of the siding and windows went very quickly. They showed up on a Wednesday morning and were mostly done by Friday afternoon. They have been very receptive and prompt with any questions, follow-up, and punchlist items. Overall it was a great experience.

Jonathon Tutt of Straightline gave a convincing presentation of exactly how the siding would be handled, including flashing and trim. Straightline subcontracted the roofer, and Gibson Roofing, and while the representative was rather odd and the roofing took longer than expected, it turned out ok. The subcontracted painters (Triple A Painting) were more than ok: they were fabulous. What I appreciated was: 1. The bid exactly equaled the bill. 2. The workers were on time, the work done exactly as specified. 3. The painters applied thorough, thick coats of paint and willingly corrected a few unfinished issues from the residing. I would recommend Straightline in a heartbeat. Triple A Painting even more. My home looks so much better than before the residing! What I wished were better: 1. I never did meet the "project manager", Scott, who reportedly showed up one day when I wasn't there. Communication was a bit screwed up. But the workers on the job were truly trying to please me, so it wasn't critical, just annoyingt. 2. I'm regretful that Gibson Roofing (that weird young guy again) gave such a poor presentation when I recommended it to my friends. But the company did a good job on my home. I knew that the projected project timeline would get pushed back, and I thought that the whole project was completed in a thoroughly competent, professional manner within a very reasonable time. I have recommended Straightline to my friends and realtor. They are competent, professional, and truly work to please.

The "Owner or Manager", was very personable, he can out and talked to us, gave us some different suggestions and things, he was easy to work with. Only had a couple of very minor tiny issues, but overall it was a very good experience.

From the bid to the completion of the job I had a great experience with Straightline. The price was amazing the team that completed the work were extremely professional and easy to work with. They called with any questions they had and completed the work beyond my expectations. I highly recommend them and will also be rehiring them to paint the exterior. Thanks again Straightline!

They were fast. Their quality was good. As far as the product goes, it’s more of a permanent product when compared to the products used by the other companies. They used wood products and actual roofing materials on the deck cover as apposed to vinyl and metal deck covers. The price was comparable to those other products, but this one is better and permanent. I would tell people to make sure that the job is done before they pay them. They wanted me to pay them before they had done the caulking and the finish work. That was something that I didn’t expect. I would use them again in the future if need be.
