I had some problems with an “orange-peel” effect on the surface. However, I mentioned that I was going to send a report to Angie’s List and they sincerely apologized. The employee who did the work was a new employee and had never done such a large piece before, so they offered me my money back. I know that they can do great work because my brother has used them, and I was very happy with the way they handled the situation. I would certainly use them again.

They came in on time. They got the job done quickly; in 2 days. They cleaned up after themselves. They did not leave a mess. It was great. It is early to tell if something breaks down or something happens to it. However, over the last 2 weeks, we have been absolutely happy.

They completed the work in one day. They did a wonderful and a perfect job. I give them an absolute top score. It was an excellent job. I went to their place of business to talk to them. They gave me a discount. They later on came to my house and sealed off the bathroom. They completely refinished the tub and matched everything. They did clean up after themselves. They also gave me instructions on how to keep the finish in good shape for my old tub. My tub now looks like a brand new tub and its held up excellently. So, I have nothing but a lot of praise for them. I would use their services in the future as well if I had another tub, as I have only one tub.

They were good. I own a couple of apartments and they refinished the bathtubs in one of the apartments. They did a great job. The price charged by them was very reasonable. I would use their services in the future as well. I have also recommended them to my son.

Company was able to refinish my bathtub shortly after I contacted them. The tub was in pretty bad shape so needed to have the old glaze removed first before refinishing. It looks like a new tub now!

The technician arrived promply, lined the bathroom with plastic to protect it, and went right to work. The tub turned out beautiful -- looks shiny and new.

Fine. I had to rebook as my contractor didn't get the new-to-me tub installed by the first refinish date, but that wasn't a a problem. Stanley Ave was concerned that I was having the tub refinished before the rest of the bathroom was done but when I drilled down about that, they were more worried that my contractor would damage the finish tub than anything else. Anyway Jose showed up on time, got right to work, and did a great job (see pics). 48 hours later my contractor boxed in the tub w/ cardboard to protect it and finished the rest of the bath. Jose ended up having to "build up" the floor of my tub w/ Bondo which took longer, but that was all part of the service. My new toilet and sink are American Standard brand and they refinished the tub in the same American Standard white. There are a few spots where dust obviously got caught in the spray/wet enamel, but if it had concerned me enough apparently they would have come out to fix that. They also provide a "touch up" kit upon demand, which I hope I won't need.

The project went completely smoothly - no hitches.

It did not go well. They did the work twice and had some glaring errors in finish. They said that they could buff them out, but I expressed my concern about taking the finish back down to the enamel, which had tested positive for lead. He could not reassure me about the safety of the seal if he were to buff the finish. He did not offer any other solution. After they repeated doing the job and I still was unhappy, the foreman told me I did not have to pay. A few months later I received a bill in the mail. When I said he had told me I did not have to pay, he tried to guilt trip me about having to pay out of pocket. I finally said I would pay half, just to end this mess.

First, the owner arrived and gave an estimate. He also turned and spotted a chip in the sink which had been covered in grout by the tile installer. He had a sharp eye and gave me an estimate with an accurate and detailed description of the follow-up maintenance as well as appearance. The work was scheduled and the the refinisher arrived on time. Both men brought and wore clean booties every time they entered my home. All adjacent hardwoods were covered with durable quilting. Nothing; none of their tools, chemicals, not even a lunch box, was ever set directly on any of the preexisting tile, cabinetry or flooring. This company's employees are meticulous, courteous, product knowledgeable, and respectful of my time as well as property. The work was completed in a timely manner, as promised, with fans and cross airing to expedite the process as well as alleviate any lingering fumes. The workmanship is now two month's past, and showing all signs of enduring over time while maintaining high gloss.

When I called to get my tub refinished, the call was answered promptly and scheduled for a date 2 weeks out. I ended up rescheduling the appointment and they were helpful in getting me fit back into the schedule despite the short notice I gave. The gentleman who came out was very professional and very thorough. The job was perfect and it was exactly what they said it would be.

We have a 60 year old bathtub that had some stains and was a bit rough on the bottom. It always looked dirty even when clean, so we wanted to get it resurfaced. We looked on Angie's List and this company gets nothing but glowing reviews, so we called and got a real person right away. He offered to come out to do an estimate or to do the estimate on the phone. I elected the phone estimate, which entails describing its appearance and comparing the roughness of the bottom to a grade of sandpaper. He quoted us $450 (I think that's the standard - goes up if it's really damaged) and when we mentioned Angie's List he said there was a coupon for that and it would be $425. They were able to do the job the next week. Jose came out right on time and worked non-stop from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. He was careful and thorough, left the area clean, and left us a brand new tub! We're thrilled with it. I noticed a while after he left that the caulking around the tub, which had been removed for the job, was not replaced, so I called and left a message (after hours) and asked if that was going to be done. We got a call the moment they opened the next morning and they told us Jose was on his way to our house to finish the caulking, which he did within about 10 minutes. We're very pleased, not only with the way it turned out but with the service we got. The price is very much in line with what you'd expect to pay for this kind of job.

I called on Stanley Ave Tub and made an appointment for them to come and redo the tub. I didn't bother calling other people for estimates because I had already heard such good things about this company--both from friends and from Angie's List. Victor arrived promptly on the scheduled day and time and spent the whole day working on the tub. It looked fantastic! He left everything neat and tidy and told us to call to schedule an appointment to have someone come to grout the sides of the tub after the enamel had a chance to set. Even before I had a chance to call to reschedule, I got a follow-up call from Stanley Ave Tub about grouting. Rueban came right on time as promised to grout the sides. Then my husband then accidentally scratched the tub the day right after Rueban came! He called Stanley Ave Tub, and they were kind enough to send someone over to touch up the little scratch for free. Now you can't tell there was ever a scratch. And they did this within two days of our call. We are very happy with the quality of their work, but it's their service and the care they put into making sure their customers are happy that makes them stand out.

I was pleased with the job - the 83 year old bath tub looks like new. The work was explained to me and performed as described. I was charged what I was quoted. A perfect combination

We were told that our refinisher would come between 8 and 9 in the morning. Jose came at 8 a.m. He masked and prepped the surface very thoroughly. He was a clean worker and when he was done, explained to us that we needed to leave the masking on until the next day and left a sheet of directions for the use, care and treatment of the new refinishing. We asked to delay payment until the masking came off so we could be sure all was covered adequately and he was very agreeable to that. By 3:45 p.m. he was finished with the work. We had been told there would be a bad smell and there was. We stayed out of the house until the next morning. By that time, with the aid of a window fan, the smell was diminished enough to be in the house. When we removed the masking, the tub and shower was beautiful! We were happy to end a check right off and to be able to write a good report. So glad we had this done.

The finished tub is beautiful and Jose did an immaculate job of cleaning up. Because we had shower doors (installed on top of the tub) that we had difficulty removing ourselves, Jose's supervisor, Ruben, came out and removed them. He also came back to reinstall them. Both he and Jose were professional, cordial and efficient. They were a pleasure to deal with. The price was very competitive.

Jose was on time, very courteous, and finished sooner than expected. Another guy came buy 2 days later to remove the tarps. He was also very nice.

Upon calling I found that Stanley simply scheduled the work for three weeks in the future (They have a long wait list.). When the day arrived, the worker came, looked at the tub and stated that he was not sure it could be refinished. He then called the owner to look at the tub (Which they decided they could do.) but that there was not enough time scheduled to do the work that day. So we would have to wait another 4 weeks. [Note: if their policy was to have a person come to look at the tub first, this could have been avoided all together ] This was a major inconvenience as we had made arrangements to be away for that weekend while the finish cured. We rescheduled the date and the work was done, an excellent job. We were told that we would get a follow-up call/visit to touch up any missed areas, but nobody ever called. They left the tub with the fixtures removed and taped. So we had to untape the fixtures and reinstall them ourselves. Great work, customer service could be better.

Victor showed up right on time. He worked for over six hours. The bathtub looks like its brand new! A second employee promptly returned two days later to put drain pieces back in place and to re-caulk around tub. I would definitely do business with this company again - the service was exceptional and there were no surprises. Victor left a sheet clearly describing how to care for the newly refinished surface.

They called back in a day. They were very busy that I had to make an appointment a month out. The person who came to do the work was polite, well groomed. Work was done with great care!

Jose came on time and was very courteous and friendly. He was very careful to inform us he'd have to take off a molding, and we would have to repaint it. He gave special attention to the nicks and dings, and had an eye for detail. The tub was 99 years old, never had any special care, and now looks like new. Nice job! Our Angie's coupon made it even more cost effective. He also took the time to tell us about the warranty, and how to take care of the tub in the future.

The guy who came to the house did not speak English all that well. No offense. We had trouble communicating on some points. Apparently I was supposed to have had a plumber disconnect the plumbing before the work was to be done. No one told me that when I made the appointment. So be forewarned now. He improvised and taped over the faucet. At one point he ran a long collapsible tube from the bathroom out the front door and off the porch. I asked what was going into the atmosphere and he could not tell me. Again, the language barrier. Being someone who does all she can to not harm the environment I was deeply disturbed by the fact that I was putting unknown chemicals, fiberglass, whatever, into the air. I should have assumed that this was not an environmentally friendly project. I guess I thought it was just a simple coat of paint. Naive, I know. Beware the smell. I thought I was going to pass out while peeing!! gone are many brain cells! But, the tub looks absolutely beautiful!

The workman arrived on time as promised, both for the initial session and the follow-up caulking, completed the project efficiently, and left with a top-notch job done. The tub has never looked better. I am really pleased with the work and the professionalism of the staff member. He was knowledgeable and considerate, and left the entire area clean when he was finished.

It was great. I called to schedule an appointment based on the recommendations from other Angie's List members. They were about four weeks away from an open appointment, but it was well worth the wait. Jose arrived at 8:30 a.m. and finished for the day at 3 p.m. It looks like a new bathtub and we're super happy with the result.
