Description of Work: Attic inspection, insulation and ventilation analysis

Description of Work: They installed attic insulation to R49 and installed two exhaust fan roof jacks with proper duct installation. They removed the existing installation since the house was built in 1907 and never updated as to installation. They air sealed the attic floor and all walls and openings in the attic. Very professional job and house sealability improved over 20%.

Description of Work: Ben Fish inspected our attic insulation. He was very professional and knowledgable. Based on his inspection, we don't need more insulation, but when we do, I will definitely hire them.

Description of Work: We've been having issues with our AC (2 service people had already come out from a different company), and wanted to find out if it was an AC issue, energy efficiency issue, or duct issue. The service person went through the house in detail, and figured out that it was still an AC issue..which we were able to take back to the original repair people and finally get it fixed. |

Description of Work: They did an energy audit and some sealing work to make my home more airtight and efficient. This work was actually done in 2011 but the calendar won't go back that far.

Description of Work: Work performed was to seal all the air leaks in the house as determined during an energy audit including the undereave storage areas where different measures had to be taken to get the desired result. A 2nd blower door test was performed at the end of the job to see how effectively the work had been performed. The results showed the amount of improvement that was expected had, in fact, been achieved. The crew was also very pleasant to have in & around the house for the 2 days of the job.

Very impressed with the friendly, knowledgeable, & professional staff.

Description of Work: Most recent work performed by Revival was furnace check-up. We have used Revival three times now (also did energy audit and replaced thermostat). Revival does a great job and their people are professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. We plan to continue using them in the future

Description of Work: We signed up for a Heat Bleed and Full Energy Analysis with Revival and had a fantastic experience. We'd been living in the house for 1 year and decided this would be a good way to get an in-depth inspection and analysis of heat & cooling issues we were contemplating addressing. The state of Oregon rebated us the $150 we paid Revival a month or two after the work was done. It's noteworthy that our house fell into the larger price tier (barely - ours is 3200 sf) and Revival nicely charged us the price for 3000 sf and less. | |Since I didn't know what this service was when I signed up for it, I'll let others know what I learned (and can still remember...). Ben Fish of Revival came out to our house for FOUR hours to inspect our heating and cooling systems and ducts. I didn't need to follow him around, but when I had the chance, he told me what he was doing and what it meant (I am not handy...). So if you have a chance, you should try to be home and available to listen. | |Ben measured heating/cooling output and efficiency and let us know where we were doing well and where we weren't. We also discussed the feasibility of putting in zone-controlled heating/cooling - our house wasn't built for that and it would have taken a lot of work/$$ and someone with significant engineering skills - Revival has this expertise, but he did not recommend going that direction for cost reasons. | |The heat bleed part involved opening our front door and essentially placing a "tarp" (reminded me of bouncy house material) over it with a fan in the middle of it that sucked air out of our house. Ben then went around with an infrared camera taking pictures of hot and cold spots - places where we were not efficient. He uncovered a few windows with broken seals and problems with our ducts where we were very inefficient. My kids were home for the day and he was great with them showing them the infrared camera and having them put their hands over light switches and outlets to feel the air coming through the cracks (I also thought this was cool!). Overall, Ben was very thorough, knowledgeable, patient and great with me and my family. | |At the end, Ben compiled a 20-40? page (it was thorough) report of all the issues with pictures as well as good/better/best recommendations to address them with cost estimates. We mentioned we'd be doing some electrical work and he recommended we wait on the issues he pointed out until that was done as new can lights are just more holes that need to be sealed up. It was not a hard sell at all - he said Revival was very busy and we could call them now, in a year or never and that was OK - he seemed very sincere and was very nice as it made me feel like this wasn't just a way to generate leads (which I know is true, but they are also providing a great service - my guess is that they got my $150 and maybe receive some additional benefit from the state of Oregon, but I'm not sure - the lead generation is also a benefit for them). | |I'd highly recommend that everyone do this energy assessment (it's free after rebate; or discounted if you have a larger house). I think Revival did an amazing job with the work - I'd highly recommend using them for their expertise and professionalism.

Description of Work: I highly recommend this company to any one that wants to get a clear understanding of their homes energy efficiency. Ben Fish was my homes Analyst and he carefully explain what he was doing and for what reason. I appreciated the fact he took the time to make sure any questions I had were answered. After he was done with our appointment he sent me the report of the findings and proposal within a couple of hours. That's efficient! Also I want to say I had purchased one of the specials and when they came to my home for the appointment I was no longer able to keep appointment. I was treated politely and told no problem. Then I waited so long my special had expired. Again I was treated politely and they even offered to honor the coupon anyway. You could not find nicer people or better customer service. I will be having them do some of the work suggested at the first of the year. Hopefully I will be able to complete all the improvements within the upcoming year.
