Description of Work: Paid for "energy audit" and "air flow test" to determine where my recently purchased 45 y.o. house was losing conditioned air and allowing outside air to enter. Technician spent a good amount of time here, and the services to be performed to address issues were described well, but I was not convinced the services quoted would, in fact, resolve my problems. I was particularly hoping I could witness the "thermo gun" being used by technician and he would pinpoint the very problem areas on the readout screen. Instead, I was essentially asked to take his word for where the problem areas were located ased on his experience. I have not had the "air sealing" work performed by this provider or anyone else. I would like to eliminate the air leaks in my house, however.

Description of Work: Repaired my furnace blower, gave me an estimate on best ROI for my heating and cooling needs. Interesting some Energy Efficiency choices made much more sense than paying $$ for a new 96% furnace. Very trustworthy, excellent advice. I even was able to do some of he work myself.

Description of Work: Home Energy Assessment. He was very informative and readily answered our barrage of questions. We now have a much better idea of what home improvements we need to prioritize and the best methods to do so.

Description of Work: Performed an energy efficiency audit. Highly knowledgable and professional: for example, Ben was able to point out issues with the HVAC set-up or window installation that the professional inspectors failed to notice prior to close if sale back in January. | |Gave. "B" for price because the recommendations to make the house energy efficient total $8,000. (1/2 of that would be replacing 6 old aluminum windows that definitely need replacing.) If I had $4,000 free I would happily hire Revival to complete the non-windows related work.

Description of Work: The attic was inspected and an estimate was given for Insulation. We didn't use the service because it was cost prohibitive.

Description of Work: I needed some information about the air quality in my upstairs attic area. I was experiencing some dizzy feelings when I spent time there. I called the Company to enquire about what they might offer, and the person suggested that I purchase their Energy Assessment from Angie's list, which includes an air quality assessment. The representative was punctual, professional, and appeared competent. He conducted the energy assesment but I was disappointed when he informed me that the air could not be tested because of some asbestos tape on a duct in the attic area. The company followed up with a bid to replace the insulation, provided that I had the asbestos remediated first. I emailed the representative with further questions about the bid, but never got an answer. I did call an asbestos remediation company, who informed me that it was better to leave it alone since it wasn't a danger to the living area. The EPA website had a similar recommendation. |I did hire another company to do the insulation, and they were willing to accept the recommendation of the asbestos remediation company. Their bid was also lower, and the representative very very helpful in answering all my questions.

Description of Work: Ben Fish provided thermal images of cold air leaking into the house and a detailed analysis of energy usage costs for heating, light, appliances, etc. At my request, he also gave a bid for caulking and attic insulation.
