They are very good. They gave me a very comprehensive report. No additional charges other than the big deal. This is the first time I used them. I would recommend them. I would use them again in the future.

The Oregon Energy Trust represents electric utilities. It offers complimentary energy evaluations for homeowners considering what kind of new heating and/or AC to choose to replace their old units and, supposedly, energy saving retrofits to reduce energy consumption. The US Dept of Energy recommends and maybe even distributes software to calculate residential heat loss and heat gain for sizing furnaces and air conditioners based on the thermal characteristics of the house. Despite the sales pitch that Revival's recommendations are "data driven", the person actually sent to calculate BTUs for heating and tons for AC admitted his report would not take into account insulation, solar heat gain and loss, the effect of replacing leaky windows or the difference in R value for walls above grade and below grade where the temperature is constant at about 55 degrees F year round. Rather, he said "everybody" bases heat and cooling load calculation on square footage only. This would have the effect of oversizing the equipment (and selling more electricity).

They were very friendly and had good customer service. The guy that came out was very professional, answered all my questions, and explained everything.

This is a great company! Our problem was diagnosed, after climbing around our attic, he wrote a report for us and made some suggestions for how to get a top floor room to cool down during the day. He was very professional and spent a lot of time explaining the problems to us. I would definitely recommend this company for any air conditioning problems.

The services provided by Revival Energy LLC went fine. I'm just neutral towards them. There's not particularly anything that stood out about them. The work was fine.

Seemed like I paid for them to come out and do an estimate.

Visit went well. Robert showed up as scheduled and went through everything. Not all the tests could be performed because he found some asbestos tape around a couple ducts in the basement that needed to be dealt with. He did have information sent over on the how to take care of it. The report that was prepared and provided was extensive and contained great information.

Ben was thorough and professional. He explained his findings and walked me through the reports I'd be receiving. I received the reports via email later that same day!

It went very well. The only minor issue we had was the original appraiser said that payment plans were not an option but after speaking with the owner he agreed that we could set up payment arrangements. They did a wonderful job and our heat bills went down.

They were really nice people and very efficient. They did the survey of heat loss. They identified the old seams in the attic and around the walls, and did the sealing. They also identified that under the living room floor there was no insulation under that floor, it was a crawl space. So they insulated underneath the living room floor and then they did this air seal, which they did all the seams up on the attic and between the walls and the ceilings. They did check the seals around all the doors and windows and there were no problems there. And then they put in 15 or 20 vents in my roof for air vents and one was for a bathroom. They also put in a bunch of other air ventilation vents in my roof. They were very clean and neat. They came when they said they would. I did call them about doing a furnace service and then decided not to go with them, because they were a little high.

Revival Energy was wonderful. They were very, very thorough, made good suggestions and the price was reasonable. Everything was perfect and I would recommend them highly. My husband was there when they did the audit.

The day after the inspection and analysis, Ben sent a quote on his best advice as to how to make our house most energy efficient based on our needs. It was a little more than I had expected as I was just concerned with the attic ventilation and preventing more mold growth. The proposal included ventilating the attic to current codes fixing 2 bathroom fans which were not properly venting to the outside, and air-sealing the attic space (cut-outs for lights fans, etc). They found that the original builders did not cut out the vent holes big enough for the existing vents (first problem not initially seen). They replaced the existing roof vents with bigger ones and added a few more. They also put insulation "cans" over all the pot lights and sealed the top of the exterior wall boards. Upon my request, they installed a "check" valve vent from the down draft of the stove so the outside air will stop leaching into the kitchen on cold days through the stove vent. They also sealed the area under the stove in the crawl space to prevent even more cold drafts in the kitchen.

Our experience with Revival Energy was very much a mixed bag. On the one hand, all the signs leading up to the actual work were quite favorable, and we certainly had a very positive impression of the company based upon our interactions with the lead representative whom we dealt with. But in the end, there were various misunderstandings and mutual recriminations, including a very inappropriate email communication that we received from the company. To sum up a few of the main points of disagreement, the company felt like we asked them to do extra tasks that were not part of the contract; we felt like some of their work was sloppy and damaging, that they left a mess around the house which they did not clean up at the end, and that some of the projects they did were either not fully thought out and discussed beforehand or were not appropriate to the circumstances. On the other hand, their pricing was reasonable, and most of their workers were very pleasant to deal with. We came to Revival Energy because of a very appealing coupon that they were offering on Angie's List, as well as all the favorable reviews which they had there. It?s unfortunate that our experience was not so positive: we would not use them again, and we cannot recommend them to others.

They were wonderful. They were friendly, came on time, explained everything and did their work. Their price was incredibly good. They did a bunch of work and they didn't charge me any extra. I would recommend them to anybody. I absolutely would use them again in the future.

They came out and did the service then gave a list of options on fixing the problems.

The gentleman was awesome. He gave great suggestions, but some of them were expensive. It was definitely cost prohibitive because we are not certain how long we're going to actually stay in the home. If I was going to live here forever I'd probably go ahead and do it. It was well done and the gentleman was very good. He was very nice and gave us a detailed report that was emailed to me. Some of them were definitely some great ideas and the price for the audit was awesome. They did a great job, but I just chose not to do their recommendations. There was a little scheduling issue, but he showed up right on time.

Everything went well. They were prompt, on time, and provided a thorough report. They didn't try to upsell us either.

Person who came for the overall energy audit was polite and seemed to know what he was talking about. Gave me a bid for calking around windows (have large ones in the living room and dining room areas) and outlets, which was over a $1,000, and I have chosen not to do that. I never heard back from my two contacts asking that I get more details on the air quality report. which noted some concerns. That is why at this time I could not recommend them and gave them a C. This past year with work and some other concerns, I have just let the no call back stand. I will try and reach them next week and see if I can get a response. I think that the ads for energy audits should mention that some of the procedures cannot be done in most condos. Even though my condo is considered newer, I think that an energy audit is good to make sure your home is as energy efficient. as possible. If I did this again, I would know now some questions to ask about what they could for the audit and how they would do the procedure.

The service provider was very thorough, explained about monitors and air quality and provided a report. He also gave thorough explanation about the report and suggestions about how to proceed.

Guys were very thorough and did what they were supposed to do.. filled out the energy credit form and we got the refund as promised. House passed the audit, but we didn't go for the option of making our house even better - a $5000 bill to change a coupe of things.

Jim Ballman was a pleasure to work with; he was quick to respond to all questions and issues, and helped us work with Clark PUD to ensure we complied with the requirements for our weatherization loan. Revival's workers were professional, on time, and they cleaned up after themselves. I was most impressed about their commitment to be on time - they said on the first day they would arrive on or before 8AM each day - and they did. I would recommend Revival to anyone: friend, family, coworker, with no reservations. Revival is a top-notch contractor

The rep who came out to my home was very thorough with his test, and with explaining what the audit is about.He was also prompt in getting my complete home audit information to me. He pointed out the areas in my addict where I was loosing heat, and showed me also areas in the house where I was loosing energy. I wasn't able to use them at the time because of personal reason, but I am close to hiring these guys to update my not so energy efficient house.
