We've had a problem with uneven heat in our 1962-built house due to air leaks and poor insulation. We had 3 contractors visit and make recommendations. Robert Brierley of Revival Energy gave us the most comprehensive analysis of our problems and provided a series of bids for high, medium and low priority work that would improve the situation. He spent 3 hours with us including the blower door "test out" to establish a baseline for how much air was leaking. Even though we have no insulation in our walls or under our floors (which are exposed to cold air from the crawl space below), he encouraged us to try the top priority work first and see if we experience enough improvement before proceeding with floor or wall insulation. We chose to do the top priority work first. Meng, James,Kevin and crew spent 2 days here. They were prompt and very professional, taking time to explain how they would do the work and to answer our questions. They were careful to cover surfaces and keep things clean and took time at the end of the job to vacuum. They took extra steps to ensure that air leaks were addressed. At the end of the work, they repeated the blower door test and demonstrated the improvement in air leakage. The result was as promised. Revival also took care of completing the forms required for us to get our energy rebates. We used to feel a significant change in temperature as we walked up and down our stairs. Our first measurements today show a difference of about 2 degrees, which is a big improvement. Overall, we are very pleased with the work and would use them again if we need more energy work. Was very disappointed with the results of the assessment. The options for improving the comfort and efficiency of the home appeared pricey, but what really made us doubt the pricing and quality of the assessment was when we saw that they had listed changes to our bathroom vents (need to route them through the roof rather than just to the attic) that we thought were already taken care of as a result of the recommendations the home inspector had made when we purchased the home. We contacted the roofing company that did this work and told them that it appears that they did not do the job we had payed them to do. They came by and to our surprise showed us that the work had been done correctly and that Revival had incorrectly assessed the situation. We also saw that although the work that Revival wanted to perform was more involved than what the roofers had already taken care of, the price delta was not at all justified. We later asked a couple of other companies to give us estimates for the work that Revival had recommended and they a) gave us estimates that were substantially lower than what Revival had stated b) they had stated that a number of changes Revival had recommended were likely not even needed. On the surface, they were prompt, and courteous and we would have likely followed their recommendation and in the end felt 'satisfied', but because of the circumstances involved, we found out that from a pricing and proper recommendation perspective, they did not have a customer oriented mindset. If you do end up using them, I highly recommend that you get a second or third opinion on the pricing of the work they are recommending to you pay for.

The Revival staff were all very friendly, helpful and courteous. I did need to finish some cleanup after they left, but have been happy with my new furnace. I am glad I got the Rheem furnace with variable speeds. Robert set it at the lower setting. It is very comfortable and I'm happy with the programmable Honeywell thermostat. I will recommend this company to others.

Given that the house is an early 1910 house that has seen many rounds of modifications, this was proposed as the most cost effective way to improve the livability of the house. It has definitely improved the efficiency of heating the house, but, again since it is such an old house, we discovered that there was much more going on that just a simple air top and bottom air seal cannot fix. The team is very professional and on time for every scheduled appointment.

They performed a home energy audit. The work was completed exactly when they said it would be. The report was very inclusive and they answered all our questions and provided many good solutions.

Jim and Robert from Revival Energy, LLC were both great to work with. Robert came to our home and was a polite, good listener, very informative. Over the last year we have had several companies give us quotes for a ductless system. A couple contractors seemed in a hurry to get the whole thing over with. Only Robert seemed in no hurry with us, taking all the time necessary to answer all the questions we had. All in all, a very comfortable experience. I decided to do the sealing of my ceiling and walls on my own and Robert was full of great information as how to get the best bang for my buck. The installers were Revival employees, not some general HVAC contractor. They came in, taking off their shoes when coming in. Everything was done taking care not to make a mess in the process and completely cleaned up before leaving. The only thing that was left behind was a nice new ductless system. The guys were pleasant and took time to answer questions I had as the installation progressed. I have an electrical and engineering background and everything looked installed correctly. When the county inspector came, the inspection was quick and without question. Didn't expect anything else because of the great job they did.

Once our paper work was done they started work 3 days later, despite how very busy they already were. Robert made the whole process fairly painless. We have two dachshund's that run our home and want to help and kiss the guys and they were very tolerant of them. The new System was in and running in three days! We got a 7 day programmable thermostat and Robert set it up for me and then took the time to help me set it up on my laptop . I can go to that program online and change thermostat settings and it is so much easier than try to change settings from the thermostat. The last day of the job Robert had to work alone and still managed to meet their completion date. We had HEAT for Christmas! I will always use this business and recommend everyone to do the same. Did a thorough whole house energy efficiency evaluation of our house. The report was thorough and easy to understand. They could have been somewhat more helpful in helping us evaluate which upgrades would pay off financially in 5 to 10 years.

They came and performed an assessment of the home and provided a proposal for making the house better insulated and more energy efficient. We accepted the proposal, they arrived on time and performed the job as proposed. The sealed the house from the inside and insulated the house from the outside; this is a 1929 bungalow and not an easy job by any means. They were careful wit hcleanliness and cleaned up after themselves every day. The results are excellent and the entire house is vastly improved.

Just great. Revival squeezed us into their schedule as an emergency. The person they sent over, Robert Brierley, was really smart and knowledgeable. We found out he has an engineering degree, but gets more satisfaction from bringing heat to people in need than from making calculations at a desk. He's the kind of person you're glad is on the planet. He quickly diagnosed a broken gas valve, located part of the needed part at a local distributor, and tried it. To no avail -- our thirty year old furnace didn't wake up. Robert gave us the choice of tracking down the ancient part on the internet, or, the obvious choice, replacing the furnace that day, which we took. Even if we opted for fixing the old furnace, which part would go out next? Most of Revival Energy's business is home energy audits, so Robert easily calculated the costs and energy savings of various types of furnace for our home. We chose the most energy-efficient, and he had it running in a day. Our new furnace will pay for itself in 3-4 years, and save us money after that. Wish we'd replaced the old one years ago. But we're typical. Most people wait till their furnaces stop working in very cold weather to replace them. It's an uncomfortable, stressful experience. I urge everyone with an old furnace to have a professional check-up every fall, to catch it before it kicks the bucket.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was very good. They were very thorough and they explained everything very well. It was a very positive experience. He didn't charge any more than the deal.

Except that I got a call about 3 months prior to the appointment, when I signed up on Angie's List Big Deal. I forgot to add to my calendar, and the day when they arrived at my house, I had to leave work in short notice to get back for the appointment. If the company can call 1 week or so, prior to the appointment date, that will be perfect.

they sealed all of my drafts in my condo unit. It really made a difference in electricity used to heat my unit.

It was fantastic. The person who did the energy review ensured that I understood what he was doing, what was being measured, and the various efficacy of multiple system changes working together. He never once tried to sell me anything or push me toward any type of commitment, he simply focused on my questions, concerns, and priorities/reasons for the energy audit. The time spent felt like an eye-opening learning session with a friend with special expertise than a purchased business service. I whole-heartedly recommend their service.

Jim responded quickly to my first inquiry, and the process went smoothly from Robert's audit right through completion. Meng led the work team, who were punctual, careful to respect the house, clean up, and communicate. They were painstaking in ensuring that the insulation penetrated into all the nooks and crannies of the three major attic areas.

Our energy auditor was Ben, a very nice and professional person. He conducted the energy audit which included the cost average per Kwh, the estimated cost of each room, and how energy efficient each of our current appliances were. Using a thermal imaging he went into our attic and was able to alert us to some minor problems he found as well as how well our attic was insulated. Ben informed us about how well the insulation in the walls, floors, around the windows/doors and recommended corrective action. Using air flow connected to the front door was able to determine how much air leakage we had and where it was coming from. The energy audit was very thorough and very informative. Ben went over everything and was very honest with us. He provided a very complete report via email to us as listed things that needed attention to. We very pleased with the information provided and recommend them to anyone.
