I was VERY impressed w/ the service I got.

Everything went well. We got some information, but it wasn't something that we wanted to move forward with doing anything else. We learned a couple of things and my husband made some tweaks with certain processes that we were using in the house, and trying to lower our energy cost. The guy was really helpful. The only negative thing that I can think of was that it just took a lot of time and a lot of space. But beyond that it wasn't bad. It was just something that we decided not to move forward with.

This turned out fine. They came to my home to install this. The technician was fine when he was here to install the thermostat. He did the home assessment but it took a little while.

overall, went well not sure if we will have the follow up work completed, but we know where we stand

Ben Fisher arrived on time to conduct the audit. He was pleasant, answered all of my questions, and explained what he was doing and why. Ben was a complete professional, and he represents his company well. As I have made various energy-efficiency improvements over the years, I was curious to know what else I could do and what the effects were of the measures that I had installed. Mr. Fisher gave me information on typical gas and electric bills throughout Portland for houses similar to mine. He also made recommendations about three levels of improvements and the likely savings from each.

They informed me that the company that had installed my heater had not done it correctly. I had the other company come and remove the heater and then fired them. Revival then installed a heat pump and sealed our home so that we would not loose heat or air year round. They were very professional and did a great job. They saved us from a potentially bad situation. We would have been paying so much more in heating and cooling bills. There are great energy efficient heating and cooling systems these days and Revival really knows what they are doing with this whole new approch to heating and cooling. It really makes a differenct. We also purchased a water heater from them.

Revival was hired to perform an energy audit on our home. Their lengthly and detailed evaluation told us what we could do to see immediate and significant results. It even gave us three options to choose from based on the level of insulation desired and cost thereof. We decided to insulate the attic and air seal. From the very beginning they were knowledgable and professional. After a rather cold winter I am amazed at the difference there is in the warmth and comfort of our home! The crew as well as the initial visiting engineer/inspector is knowledgeable, thorough and efficient. They take great pride in their work and pleasing the customer. I would highly recommend doing business with this company, without hesitation.

The remediation plan found the ideal solutions to address those problems.

During this winter's big snow storm, my wife and I noticed a problem: it was snowing inside our house! Needless to say, we knew we had a problem with the air sealing, and luckily we found Revival Energy through a Big Deal on Angie's List. The consultation was very reasonably priced, considering Robert spent the better part of 3 hours conducting the very thorough review. He was utterly professional, personable, and knowledgeable, and happy to explain the recommendations he made. There was zero pressure as he talked about the services Revival offered, and he was happy to discuss which options made the best "bang for the buck" sense for us. I was absolutely thrilled with the service and would recommend it heartily.

Everything went well. They showed up at the time they said they were going to. They didn’t take long, just fixed the problem and they didn’t leave any mess. The price was fair.

They showed up when they said they would, did a good job, finished on time and then did all the work (which was quite a bit) to get me refunds and tax credits from Oregon's Energy Trust. They also let me know about a problem with my furnace putting out too much carbon monoxide.7300

The provider initially did a blower test to determine air leakage from my home. In Nov 2012 I had a Home Energy Review by the Energy Trust of Oregon and they had suggested I have a blower test done as I felt drafts in my family room. I contacted Revival as they were one of companies listed on the Energy Trust's website as being eligible. They came out Dec. 14 2012 and ran their tests and then made several proposals ("good", "better", and "best"). They also discussed estimated total eligible rebates from the Energy Trust for each proposal. All three proposals included Air Sealing. This was the most expensive item in the proposals at $2376. Adding the attic insulation was $936, and the Knee Wall work was $321. These three items were part of the "better" solution and that is what I chose. The best solution added getting a new water heater and the good solution did not include the knee wall work. I chose the better solution, but delayed the work as I was having a remodel done soon. They honored their original quote when I had them come out in April 2013 to do the work. I put 50% down when scheduling the work and paid the remainder when the work was completed. The work men were pleasant and hard working, but after they worked for a while, the lead man asked why I was doing the air sealing since my pre-work number was already in the acceptable range (news to me) at 1690. He said they couldn't seal it any lower than ~1300 (I forget the actual number), but he'd get it as close to possible. He did get it to 1350 with sealing some places and adding weather stripping to the door from the house to the garage. They also did the attic insulation and knee wall insulation. And I must say that I no longer feel the draft in the living room. My grades of C and D are because I don't think I should have been encouraged to do the air sealing or at least I should have been told that it is already in the acceptable range AND at a range that the rebate for that work would not be eligible. At most I should have only done the attic insulation and knee wall insulation which would have cost a total of $1257. Their three solutions were misleading in giving the impression that the most important thing for me to do was the air sealing. It has taken me this long to write the review because I don't like writing negative reviews, but Angie's List kept popping up reminding me to write a review and since I have to write one, I have to be honest. I also probably should have complained to the company, but I was in the middle of problems with my $60K remodel so $4K wasn't a super high priority at the time.

There were no troubles with scheduling and there were no additional costs beyond the prepaid rate of the deal. He was professional. However, he did not do the job that he should have done. He spent about two hours completing the work including the installation and the test. He did clean up well after the work was complete. He did complete the installation of the thermostat. However, after the fact, I learned that he should have completed the home performance assessment in a different way. He did not cover some specific areas for the testing and that is why we failed the test.

Arrived on time and completed the audit quickly and efficiently while explaining every detail that caught their attention. Thermal pictures were taken of every room and then explained at the end of the visit with recommendations to correct the issues with nearly zero sales pitch. 30 page report emailed to me for my records. Very happy with the service.

Ben was very professional. He educated me on things I was not aware of, which I greatly appreciated. I'm in a new state and things are different here, he let me know what the rules and regulations in this area are. My only reservation was the it appeared he changed his interest when I hesitated on pricing for remediation.

Robert was FANTASTIC. I can not stress enough how pleased I was with my experience. I had a total of 4 bids, 2 of which were horrible. See my other reviews. Robert was just great. He was patient, he was informative.He remained in contact with me by phone and email so I could ask even more questions. He made arrangements for an electrician to give a quote on some outside work. He even answered other questions after I indicated I thought I would go with my other bid ( really really really hard choice), He took time out of his week end and roofing his brother's house to go over he detailed proposal. He brought he equipment and did a seal test on my home and didn't complain when my cats thought he had brought them a new play ground. When we were looking at my crawl space in basement one of my cats jumped in there . He pulled out his laser pointer voila, instant kitty extraction. He didn't try to up sell me or sell me anything I didn't need. I was delighted to be told my 1949 house was actually pretty tight and that aside from some minor weather stripping etc all he would recommend was compact light bulbs. He explained that while I could have my walls insulated, it really wouldn't pay for itself. The improvement to be gained was minimal. ( I may still have his company do this thought at some point) I will also be going back to them for a heatpump water heater if my contractor proves uncertified for the rebates offered. You need to call these folks if you want to improve your home comfort. They instill trust and confidence.

This company is amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They were punctual, friendly, and efficient. I began to see results after the first day of sealing off my house. Following completion of our ventilation system the changes in our house and our family were apparent. I have small children and they were very friendly and allowed them to "help". They came back after completion to show us everything that was done, show us how to change filters, and explain how it all works. I would recommend this company every single day. Amazing group to work with.

I have not had them done yet. I may do one of them in spring and I have to prioritize these projects. They do an avid and may evaluate warrior, c-plus, cooling washes, and what the situation is with your installation. They did a very nice write up of their proposal and they provide pictures of that thermoanalysis that showed the problems well. I felt that they did a nice job in explaining what they thought I need them to do.

The Big Deal worked out fine. They were courteous, nice, and we had no problems with them. They were competent and knew what they were doing.
