The company sent out Mick Judd who was personable and thorough. He was prompt and finished the job in no time at all. And let me know that if I saw ants again they would com out asap. I bought a year long program which means they come quarterly. I had a reinfestation and they sent someone out the within two days and took care of spraying. I was very pleased with the response time, and the professionalism. Highly recommend Pioneer.

They come out quarterly right now. I found them through Angie's List. I have used them for about a year. They are very punctual, their treatments are effective and they are very flexible.

We were very satisfied. We have been using them for a year. They come every 3 months. We found an ad an Angies List Magazine. The employees are very professional. I think the price is reasonable.

I've been pleased with them. I do a quarterly service. We've had an ant problem and they have been doing maintenance on that. For the most part, they seem to be fairly well controlled. Those are the things that I've liked so far.

It went better than expected.

It went well. We got a next-day inspection, they were prompt and knowledgeable. They did the inspection without charge. Also, they didn't try to push their product on us. They said most likely there's nothing that we should do and just wait it out (it was a transitory nest). Since the pest was the honey bees (endangered species), they couldn't do anything, so instead of having us buy a bunch of useless products, they left without charging us anything.

They left the area fine, and they were okay. The return visit wasn't very timely.

On the first visit, Ian looked for possible penetration points to the basement by a rat, found one, and provided an estimate for services that he outlined. There was a round hole chewed out of a screen in one of the vents which was difficult to see unless you knew where to look. Fortunately, Ian did. After I got evaluations and estimates from two other pest control companies, neither of which found the entry point of the rat, I had Ian from Pioneer Pest Control return to do the work. He placed 5 snap traps and a bait station inside the basement and 2 other bait stations outside the house. He was very good about answering all my questions and providing information about the material inside the bait stations and how it works as well as info about its inaccessibility to pets. He was also invaluable when he provided information about specific materials to use to replace the screening in the vent to prevent another rat (or mouse) entry. Specifically, he recommended using expanded aluminum in the vents and underneath the front porch to keep out rodents. Only one rat was caught in a trap though another one definitely got in after that one was caught. The 2nd rat got into the heat duct, as I concluded from the fiberglas insulation that I found collected on the underside of the vent covers inside the house and the very unpleasant odor. Ian promptly returned my phone call about this and explained that the smell would get worse for a week or 2 and would go away in about 3 weeks. The cost of the services may look high, but there was an extra return trip for Ian to collect the dead rat that was caught and to reset the trap. These traps are pretty sturdy and could easily take off a few fingertips. There were two other return visits: one was the one required by their service agreement within 10-14 days of the initial setup; the last was to recheck the bait stations and traps for any additional activity and to remove all their equipment when there was none noted. I was very pleased with the job Ian did and all his recommendations about rodent exclusion materials. I was, of course, delighted that he easily located the point of entry. Additionally, it's really nice to hear an employee speak highly of the company he works for and about the company's focus on continuing education for the employees.

I wouldn’t use them again. They had me on a contract for some apartments I have. They said that they would get rid of the ants. They want us to sign up for a year contract. They said that it's $300-$400 upfront, and then they will come out and do a service every 2-3 months for $100. I would think that after a couple of services, the ants would be gone. But no; they just want to keep coming back and back. They just keep coming back. I called them up and told them that this was not what I wanted. They apologized. They went out in December to do a service and they said that this was the last time. They said that they will send me back my money and that they will call us again. I just assumed that we can take care of the problem in 2-3 services. We started with them in May of 2014. They came probably 4 times and then there are still issues. The tenants are still saying that they still have ants in there. It's like how many times does it take to get rid of them. They should be the pros; they should know how to get rid of them. I asked them to cancel the service the last time they came out. The price was $300 upfront and then probably $100 every time they come out. They did come out, and they did do the service. At the time, I asked the tenants about it. They did eliminate the ants for a short period of time, but they always came back. They took my money and I wasn’t satisfied. Overall, I wasn’t happy with the service. With regard to price, I think they were probably competitive with all the other pest control people charged because I got two estimates. They were right there with the others. With regard to quality, they didn’t fix the problem. I have high expectations for pest control stuff. They were responsive. They were there when they said that they were going to be there. They were very professional.

They never managed to find out how it got in there, nor were they able to get it removed. It still comes and goes. They managed to trap 4 mice and ended up paying over $300 for such a little amount of work.

The company called the next day after I bought the service from Angie's List to schedule. They had availability for my chosen date, and then made a followup call the day before to give me a 2 hour window for when they would arrive. The gentleman showed up right at the beginning of the window and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything that would happen and then did his work. He left us with some "bait plates" for future use and let us know what to expect after he left. So far we are very happy with this company - they are prompt and professional. They also back up their work and will come back and re-treat if the ants return.

This company was prompt, friendly and efficient. They did a great job! I would highly recommend them as well as continue to use them.

The company was very responsive in getting a tech to my home (within 2 days of calling). I have lived in my home 20yrs, and never had to deal with a rodent problem before, so this was all new to me. Don was very informative, and found what the problem was right away. He advised me to remove the bird food from my property, and put traps in the attic and yard. It took two visits to get rid of the rats, but they are gone, and I'm thankful. He also repaired the hole where the rats were coming in as part of the service. Don was friendly, professional, and prompt, but I hope I will not need his services again. But, if I do have a pest problem again, I would not hesitate to use their service.

Everything was fine, perimeter of house was sprayed; since service had been started there had been no ant signs in house. They were always on time and very personable. I marked that I would not use this provider in the future and I would like to explain why - I have since moved and live in a community where that is all taken care of, I no longer need to use that type of service.

Mick was on time, friendly and very knowledgable. The visit was supposed to be an evaluation for a quote, but since the birds weren't home, he offered to cover the vents same day. He did a great job and even cleaned up the bird poop off the house and removed the little bits of insulation off the ground that the birds had pulled out of the roof. Very pleased with this service. They were great. They know what they’re doing. They coordinated well with their time and schedule. The amazing thing is they got the job done where the other one didn’t. Their price is in line with what they did. They charged comparable amount but they stayed longer and got the job done.

We have been using their services for a little over a year now. They came out and took care of the problem. They set traps and reported back to us. After several months of using their services, I had inquired with them on expanding the service for pest control as well. They said they would require a one-time set up fee even though I was currently a client of theirs. I felt that was not appropriate and have not moved forward with the other service. We are still using them for rodent control and the service has been good.

I have been using them for about six months now. They come out each quarter routinely and send a bill after completed. Everything has been going well.

Beware before signing up for their pest control. What they don't tell you right off the bat is that they charge for follow-up visits and charge you. So basically, you are renting their equipment.
