Description of Work: We have used Pioneer to provide ongoing service at our existing house; we are building a new house and wanted their service there - but, they would not set a time when I could meet someone at the new house, which is about 1/2 hour away - I was called a day or so ahead and told I had to be there from 8-10 and wait there until someone came to do the work - there was not concern whatsoever for my time or flexibility in setting a specific time - this service was all about them and their convenience - it was not about us - needless to say, we will not be using them in the future.

Description of Work: It's nice to have the warranty. My ants were so bad I needed them to spray again after a month, but it's been almost 3 months now and almost no ants. One here or there but I'm pleased with the results.

Description of Work: Found out we had subterranean termites in our home last fall, shortly after we bought it. Pretty unhappy about it, this is our first home and no signs of damage and nothing on inspection/disclosure. | |Had 3 different pest control companies come out for estimates/evaluation. Pioneer Pest was by far the most professional in the evaluation, polite, timely, earnest in their communication. I feel bad I cannot remember the person's name (Chris? Dave?) who I worked with but he was absolutely excellent! As odd as it is to say, he seemed to have a genuine passion/love of learning to find our swarming termites as they aren't terribly common in the PNW. That said he was also sympathetic with our disappointment as he confirmed our termite fears. | |The two other contractors suggested tearing up our kitchen at estimated cost of $600-700, and no guarantee that termites would be permanently eliminated. Pioneer offered what one can find online as the true gold standard for termite eradication, BASF Termidor treatment, injected into ground at 1-ft intervals around entire home. If you have termites, this is the only way to deal with them and give you peace of mind-I researched lots. | |We waited approximately 5-6 months before we had finances to have them come out. They worked professionally and quickly. They had to cut pieces of our back deck in order to drill next to home and had all necessary tools to do that and while it would have been nice to not have to cut our deck for access, they did it as cleanly as possible. | |We had been quoted at $2k but between an Angie's List monthly magazine coupon and the work they ended up doing, it came in under that, which was more than appreciated. | |Thanks Pioneer Pest Management!

Description of Work: The company came, at my request, to take care of the ants around and in my home. They come quarterly and treat the outside of my house. They leave bait trays in case there are ants that want to live inside my house. They come if I call for any ant problem between the quarterly treatments.

Description of Work: They have you do a contract for a year. Their sprays only work for three months. I have a new bug person that only comes once a year and no bugs have come.

Description of Work: Summer of 2002, we had problems with spiders inside and outside the house. Pioneer Pest resolved the problem and we have had them on the Quarterly basis monitoring the pests around the house. One time, we had a squirrel loose in the crawl space and they resolved the rodent issue. Another time, we has hundreds of flying moth type pests in the garage. They found the source of the problem of a rotten sandwich and sprayed the garage for a fair fee. These guys are great, courteous, and provide emergent service for a fair price.
