Pioneer Pest Management

They came within the window of time specified and explained their process. Set 2 traps and accommodated my concerns related to my garden and dog. I now have instructions about what to do if/when an animal is trapped and I contact them to come back, for an additional $89, to pick up the traps.

I made first contact, based on rating on Angie's List and Vancouver location. At that time I had only Saturdays open and was told that techs typically do not work weekends in the winter. I planned to check back with them when I had a weekday available, but Allison called me back about a week later to tell me they had a Saturday available if I'm still interested. I asked about safety of application because I have two dogs and two parrots, price, time needed to do the job. I made an appointment for arrival between 9:00 and 11:00 on 1/18. The tech arrived at about 9:30, came in the house and I proceeded to show him the areas I had found ants and he told me how he would treat, gave me same price Allison quoted, said it would take about an hour, asked if I would like to do it today. I said yes, please and he got to work. He did exactly what I asked, did not look for any other "problems" (a company we used in the past recommended rodent control when we didn't have rodents!), and was in and out in less than an hour. He left me a list of FAQs, and asked if we would like to get on a schedule. I declined for now, said I would like to see how this works first. He responded appropriately and did not push. This was a very satisfying experience, excellent service and I would absolutely recommend.

Don Knott was the technician who came to evaluate my problem. I had noticed that the screen covering a foundation vent was opened; I tried to recover it, twice using heavy bricks to block it, but they had been moved aside. Don checked the crawl space and the perimeter, discovering that there was another vent where the screen had been removed. He first secured one of the vents, and then set up an infrared camera to see what was using the other opening. After seeing 2 cats on the camera, we decided to cover the opening, which he did. I've had no further problem. I should say, I had been afraid that a raccoon had been using the crawl space, and if that had been the case, we would have had to set a trap, and he would have disposed of the animal. Fortunately, it wasn't necessary. Don explained every step thoroughly, and I was comfortable with his plan.

We've had a minor mouse issue for a year or so. When we saw two at once, we finally gave in and called an exterminator. Boy, am I glad we did! The service rep informed us of mouse/rat habits, entry points (a mouse can get into a hole as small as a pencil - who knew?!) and gave us advice on how to close those up. The service professional was prompt, friendly, and informative. I was given plenty of advance notice on his arrival time, both times (the initial consultation, and the follow-up). During the first visit, baited traps were set out in the garage, outside, in the kitchen, bathroom, and crawlspace. The second visit showed that the bait was GONE in the garage - so we most definitely have a significant issue. Admitting that the mouse problem would most likely be a continuing issue, we signed up for quarterly service.

There were no wasps nests after all, but he told me what to look for in the future. I'm considering Pioneer Pest's outdoor rodent traps, which they both place and remove periodically. His inspection and suggestions were free and the service the service was very professional.

They were friendly and explained what they were going to do. They put bait for the ants in the walls and counter of the kitchen and sprayed outside. All of the ants were gone within a few days.

In the end, we still have a mystery smell right now but at least we have ruled out dead animal in the attic. Nick was nice enough to not charge us for the inspect since he was already close by didn't spend a lot of time at our house. I would definitely use them in the future for pest control issues as I really appreciate his expertise and the fact that he didn't charge me for the visit! Definitely solidified me as a future customer and will I will definitely recommend them to friends and family. Very professional and prompt.

On the hottest day of the year he sprayed the nests and dug them open to make sure he got everyone. He reminded me, several times, that the treatment might take 24 to 48 hours to get them all and that the larger of the 2 nests under the deck has a large number of VERY angry insects and that until the sun has gone down they will not be pleased to see me or members of my family. Wally was polite, knowledgeable, and thorough.

Tenant was at wit's end--closed all apparent entry points but still visible in-house signs of rat presence. Ugh. Pioneer made the contact with my tenant and set up the appt. They came promptly, then called me with the news that they'd have to return the next day and the next week for a total of 4 visits and $500. I believe I still have one follow up left but the tenants report all signs of the rats are gone. What more can you ask? The rep was clear and detailed about what was afoot, what was needed, and what it would cost. They delivered on all counts. Pioneer is now my default pest provider for my home and my rental. Stick with success.

No one likes to face the fact that they need an exterminator and we had no idea who to call. Checked out Angies list and a call to Pioneer Pest Management got us a quick, courteous response, a super nice specialist , an Angies List discount, a huge amount of information about our problem and resolution! We thank them and Angie.

Excellent, excellent customer service ? the representative showed up right on time, did a walk-around of the property, went underneath the house (which gets him special points in my book!) and assessed our problem. Turns out we did have an ant problem - it was a specific ant which he treated specifically (sorry, no idea about the technical details). The representative painstakingly searched the house for mouse infestation; thankfully we didn't have a mouse problem after all (our stoopid cat was/is bringing the mice into the house for entertainment) but I felt much, much better after his assessment. He educated us a bit on insect infestation, cleaned all the outside spider webs, treated for ants and placed mouse bait around the outside of the house. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We are now signed up for quarterly treatments and I will recommend this company without reservation.

I initially found them on Angie's List because I was having ant problems (we call sugar ants). It was the 2nd time this year so I called them. I was so very pleased with their knowledge, timeliness and the insect lessons about ants; that I signed up for their quarterly maintenance package. They have now been out for 2 quarterly maintenance followups. The office always notifies me by email a couple of weeks before the maintenance is due and I schedule my appointment. They are always on time, we discuss any new problems, if there are any, and then he does his exterior maintenance. I am so very pleased that I signed up for the quarterly maintenance.

The service was excellent! They arrived on time, took care of the job, and sent the invoice promptly. They were polite, professional,and knowledgable when we discussed the details of the potential job! I'd recommend them whole-heatedly!

The person was knowledgeable and efficient. In less than an hour, he'd gone thru the house and identified / treated all the problem areas. He gave us good advice in how to continue treating with bait he left. This was needed as ants take a while to completely control them. I rated the price as fair, as a similar service I'd paid for was about $50 cheaper. But, that vendor did not service my new address.

Pioneer Pest Management determined that the flies were fruit flies and the source was in the garbage disposal, which had jammed allowing food to accumulate. The technician suggested to the tenant that she run bleach down the drain and that she unjam the disposal. He called me back right after he visited to tell me of the situation and he was so nice -- he didn't even charge me for the visit to the property. I would definitely call Pioneer Pest Management again for any pest control needs that arise in the future.

They did a very nice job. We are really pleased with them. They are very knowledgeable. They give advices and so far, I’ve been very pleased. They got rid of our problems.

I'm satisfied with Pioneer in every way. They came out to the house in a rural area within 2 days of my call and showed up at exactly the agreed time. The service specialist Wally did a detailed investigation and proposed a treatment plan with reasonable cost that I approved right away. He was very pleasant, cheerfully answering all my questions questions and also explained how the chemicals worked and what to expect. There was no effort made to sell unrelated products or service contract. Afterwards, Wally made several suggestions about how to reduce chances of further problems by trimming back shrubs planted close to the house and by using consumer grade ant baits on a regular basis. He also explained the warranty period for the work and what to do if more ants were observed once the treatment had a chance to work.

I have been using Pioneer Pest Management to take care of all my pest control needs at my house. They came right out when I called them, I told them I had some ants and a mouse problem. They have been very good whenever I call they show up take care of my problem. They setup traps and kits inside and outside to help prevent future problems. They were reasonable priced. I will use them in the future.
