Our elderly wooden double garage door finally stopped working, losing rollers and going off the rails. I called Performance Building Products for a quote, and received one from Aaron by e-mail the next morning. We discussed options by e-mail and he came out on the next day that we were available to look at the site and give us a firm price. He ordered the door and it was installed 8 days later. The door looks good, it was done in less than a day, and the installers cleaned up well. They had to do some planning and fiddling to make things work in our old garage. Everyone I dealt with was prompt and professional. I had quotes from other companies, and while PBP was not the least expensive, their lead time was shorter. I would happily recommend them.

We're doing a complete home remodel. The estimate for new garage doors from another company came in higher than we were expecting so our contractor asked me to call Performance to get an estimate from them for comparison. It was around 12:30N when I called & it is likely the estimator was out on lunch. I was given to a gentleman who was either very busy or was having a really bad day. I explained why we wanted to obtain an estimate from them as well & he wanted to know the price I was quoted by the other company & wanted me to him forward a copy of the bid to him. When I wouldn't give him that information, he said he didn't want to do business with me & slammed the phone down. Too bad, because our contractor has used Performance before.

My garage door spring broke on Thursday evening after getting home from work. Searching Angie's list, I located a garage door repair outfit that was near my home in Vancouver Washington. I thought I was going to have to deal with the nonworking garage door over the weekend. When I called performance building products on Friday afternoon, Aaron answer the phone at 3 PM, and I told him about the situation with my garage door, and he said he could come out and look at it immediately and give me an estimate. He arrived at 3:45 PM on Friday afternoon, which impressed me greatly. He quickly evaluated the problem and told me he could fix it on the spot and that it would take about 30 minutes. The price was in the range for what I expected in replacing a roller spring. Aaron came prepared, with a couple of different springs on his truck in anticipation of one of these being a possible replacement. It was perfect and he did the job beautifully in a very short time. I would definitely recommend this outfit as very trustworthy and professional. He did an outstanding job, and I would definitely call them back again if I had any issues with my garage door in the future.

We are new to the area and the house we bought needed a new garage door opener. I called and spoke to Todd and told him what I was looking for. At this time we hadn't moved in yet and he ordered a new opener. We got to town and I called and they came out and installed it. They were very professional and the new opener worked great. Two month later the opener died and I called and Aaron came out to look at it and said it needed to be replaced and not to worry they would get another one on order and call for installation. Great service and we would highly recommend them.

Initially Todd came out with a sample of the door so we could be sure the garage doors would match the front door. Doors were ordered and I was given an estimated installation date. Doors were installed on that date. At installation there was a problem with some metal showing on the edges of the doors and the installers called Todd, and came up with a work around so that the doors would look as I wanted. After installation the garage was swept out and left cleaner than it was before they got here. Due to problems, the installers had to work until 7 pm (and it was a Friday evening). They did not hurry, but took the time to answer all my questions, and did not leave until they and I were completely satisfied. Todd returned the following week and helped me do the internet set up. Todd and his installers were all highly professional, on time and the work was completed in a quality manner. I got 3 bids for these garage doors and all three were within a couple of hundred dollars of each other. So I gave a and quot;Band quot; grade on price. These are rather high end doors and so the price was not the determining factor so much as professionalism and company reputation.

Initial call with scheduler went very well. She had excellent communication skills and was clear and friendly. It was easy to schedule the job, and the guys who did the work were helpful and friendly.

CONTRACTOR SHOWED UP AT SCHEDULED TIME, QUICKLY INSTALLED AND ADJUSTED DOOR TO WORK PROPERLY. HE CLEANED UP HIS MESS. HE LEFT A STICKER FOR CUSTOMER TO OBTAIN SERVICE IF NEEDED.
