Olson Electric Inc

This summer (07/2021) we had a sump pump and environmental conditioning equipment installed in our sub-floor crawlspace. The company that did the install recommended Olsen electric. After failing to return our calls for the installation of the power needed to run this new equipment twice, we finally got an appointment. Today (11/2021) the electrician showed up to do the work. Instead of running the new wire behind the wall, like both the bid and what we were told would happen, they installed flexible conduit over the wall. There is a huge hole in our wall above the breaker box now from where the electrician used a screw driver to destroy the wall. The electrician also left the sawdust and construction debris from drilling, instillation, and demolition where it fell. When we contacted the office to voice our concerns they informed us that this hole (see picture) was acceptable, and that they would be happy to settle it in court. On his way our the electrician tried to steal the extension cord that was powering the sub-floor equipment, when we told him it was ours he accused of stealing it from the referring company. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

This electrician was highly recommended by another contractor, who knows the business owner personally. I called and reached Zack, who said the owner is traveling. We discussed a job recommending and installing a portable generator. He seemed to know how to do this, and it looked like an inexpensive project. Before scheduling I asked what it would cost to have him look at our well pump and panel and make a recommendation. He said there wouldn't be a cost. The first sign there was something odd was when he asked if I was serious about doing the project. (No, I'm actually calling you to estimate a job because I like to imagine what it might be like to have a generator if the Cylons invade Earth!) He scheduled to come by and I left work early to meet him and discuss our needs. He no showed us. I called to ask about this. No call back. My wife called a week later from another phone and left a message hoping to reach the owner. No response. Update: I left a voicemail for the owner and told him I had written an "F" review on Angie's List because of the no show, but I didn't need to keep it that way, please call me. We played phone tag. He even acknowledged in a voicemail that I was calling about installing a generator. After two or three attempts he didn't call back and I was unable to reach him in person. He never apologized in voicemail for the no show. So I guess this review is okay for him. It remains an F. Something is wrong there.

Good. Electrician was friendly, quick, and gave me a good understanding of the job required.

I would hire Eric again in a heart beat, they did everything just perfect and went about it, in a friendly and very professional way, also they very conscientious about clean up. For sure Eric is our guy when it comes to any future electrical work.

He was really dependable, and punctual. He was safety contentious about the right way to do things. He was very reasonable on price
