Description of Work: I had a leak in the ceiling where there was a bank of skylights. They installed 8' pan flashing on uphill side and sealed flashing corners and seams. ($350) Pressure washed and moss treated roof and cleaned the gutters afterward ($850). I was not a member of Angie's List when this work was done, but since Angie keeps asking for a review of this company, I pulled out my old paperwork. Even though they did an excellent job on the work I described, I said I would not use them again because I contacted them numerous times in January, 2010 to do a different roof job. I got one call back and waited, called a few more times and received no response. I gave up and found another roofer, and never did find out why they didn't call back. However, I thought that was rude. If he didn't want to do the job for some reason, he could have at least called and said so, instead of leaving me hanging.

+ -1 moreWe fully expected Joe to say that we needed a lot of repair work - and were prepared to pay. He was extremely responsive -got back to me the next day - and came out to take a look that day. After getting on the roof, he said the damage was cosmetic and that we could simply get on the roof ourselves and pick up the scattered tabs. He said that if he attempted to make repairs to the actual shingles, it could cause more damage and the new shingles wouldn't blend in with the old. He advised that we didn't really need his services unless we didn't want to get up on the roof. I felt a little guilty - he came all the way out to look at it and didn't get the job. But had we needed work, or if we need work in the future, I'll definitely call him. Super nice guy and very professional.
Description of Work: We had roof damage from Gorge winds last winter resulting in shingle tabs being blown off. Needed to see if there were any leaks or other structural damage.

Description of Work: Pressure washed tile roof removing all moss and fungus. Sealed dormers where peaks were open and unsealed. Excellent job. Best price out of 4 bids. Very reasonable, professional and trustworthy.

+ 0 moreOverall, very positive. The washing was done very quickly and they cleaned off the concrete afterwards as they promised. There was a time lapse between the cleaning and copper treatment application due to bad weather, but Joe was responsive to phone messages. If this has extended my roof by another 6-8 years (as he indicates it should), then it has been money well worth spent. I can't comment on the ''value'' since I did not shop around for anyone else. Joe presented himself in such a professional and knowlegable manner that I did not think there was any need. Also it can be noted that they offer a warrany on the work for a year, with 4 years on the copper treatment.
Description of Work: Company did 3 things: 1) pressure washed the roof (shake), removing moss & dead wood, and cleaned out gutters. 2) replaced broken shakes including ridge caps 3) treated the roof with copper treatment for moss retardation.

Because of landscaping being done the following week, he ended up doing the work on the spot. He noticed some repair issues and came back later with the supplies to finish the work. He cleaned up all the mess and overall did a great job.

+ 0 moreJoe was on time (actually very early), and he came in the pouring rain but said he could do the work anyway. Very polite and nice. I received a few quotes, and his was the best. I had a few follow up questions that I sent to him in an email. He didn't directly answer all my questions (that is why my rating for responsiveness is good rather than excellent), but he said he would come by to check on whether the moss retardant was working in an area near the skylight.
Description of Work: Cleaned the roof surface of moss and debris, gutters and treated the roof to retard moss growth.
