Everything went very well. The work was done quickly and efficiently and I was offered a reasonably priced solution to my chronically clogged downspout.

I've used JZ Brothers Services for a number of projects over the past several years including pressure washing, holiday lights, window washing, gutter cleaning, and roof moss treatment. They are always terrific, on-time, hard working, fair with pricing, and do an overall excellent job. I can't recommend them strongly enough.

D for disappointed. =( After reading the reviews, here on Angie's list and elsewhere, we decided to ask for an estimated cost. Our yard needs work: Clean up, mowing and tree trimming and so forth. We've just had two other yard clean up estimates so we were getting ready to pick the best. So you can imagine the surprise we received -from JZ Brothers Services of Vancouver, Washington- that their estimate was $850 to $900 dollars...maybe more... price range! Plus, a monthly charge of $200 dollars for grass, cut and trim. (The two other yard companies prices ranges were from $300 to $500 for yard clean up) Now, obviously, this was much higher than others offers, but that wasn't the problem. We were thinking; You just might get what you pay for. The real problem we faced was in the details. The worker, that did arrive, but was very vague on what type of actual work that was actually going to get done and for how much. He did point and make some simple statements, but nothing that would tell us much of anything. Tree trimming? Moss control? Reseeding? Haul away? Yes, we did ask, but the worker just continued to point while nodding his head. We just wanted to know what was going to be done and for what price as "Yard clean up" can mean many things to many people. I did try to call JZ Brothers- I found out the hard way that they close at 4 pm-(My fault) and that their email link doesn't work on their website. I did find and used their (old?) Yahoo email address and the person I emailed was friendly but just as vague with his answers. Example questions I asked: Does it really cost $200 dollars to just mow the grass and trim? Is that every week or twice a month? Is that all they do? I then asked about the yard cleanup. (By the way; JZ Brothers currently have this $269 dollar/6 hour Angie's list clean up a coupon) Yet our price was over $800 dollars? Why? I don't believe that our yard is that bad nor that large-See picture. I just received more vague answers in their reply. =( My suggestion? Use email-It's easier to remember (and save) an email conversation than to remember what someone might promise on the phone. Demand details! Of course...Buyer beware. You have so many companies to choose from. Choose wisely.

The "crew" arrived a little late, due to additional work at the previous job. I say "the crew" but it was one guy, Jose, who did the work of at least two guys, and did an outstanding job. He did a gentle brush removal for the moss, cleaned the gutters, and completely cleaned up everything that landed on the ground around the house. He applied moss treatment, and in the end, worked harder than anyone could imagine. Have recommended them to many friends, and will definitely use them again!

The 2 individuals that came out worked quickly and were very polite. They removed all of the moss by hand and then did a low pressure "soft wash" on the roof to treat the moss. After this they applied lines of moss treatment that would, I'm assuming, dissolve with rain and further prevent the regrowth of the moss. After they were done they cleaned up my driveway and sidewalk with a blower and also hosed off the parts of the house and windows where an errant piece of moss may have landed leaving the house looking very good. After they were done they informed me that if I notice any moss return within the next few months to just call them and they are happy to come out and retreat for free. We live in Portland, moss is pretty much an unavoidable fact of life so I thought it was nice that they would offer to treat for free again if their was regrowth so soon after treatment. They did mention their annual moss treatments prices (I'm not worried about discoloration and debris/leave aren't an issue on my roof generally) and thought they were very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

We continue to use the JZ Brothers every year to put up/take down our holiday lights; very affordable!

JZ was great about setting up a time on a Saturday. They arrived on time and walked around while I showed them what needed to be done. When I returned all my leaves and weeds were gone and the bushes had been trimmed. My yard is small but it looked great.

They did a wonderful job. I'm very happy with them and I would refer them to my neighbors too.

We had JZ Brothers come out to clean our gutters and roof as well as apply moss cleaner. That was in June. But by November we could already moss growing in places on our roof. Due to hectic schedules we were unable to call them back to reapply moss treatment. Now in February, it barely looks better than it did before they came out. The gentlemen who came out and did the work stayed for three(3) hours or more. They were very courteous, respectful and professional.
