Words can’t describe what a beautiful job Steve did to transform our home from a closed-off dated design to a modern open layout floor plan. We originally started with a ceiling repair project but Steve’s vision and design led us to commit to the full remodel that we had been considering. Steve did an incredible job patching the drying that my dog chewed up. Not only was he on time, but he actually called to ask if he could come out early, as he was running ahead of schedule. He was very friendly and personable and did a great patch job - no sign that any work was ever done. Plus, he worked quickly and charged a very reasonable price. If the need ever comes up, I will definitely be hiring Steve again.

It went awesome, Steve did an amazing job. Steve was very punctual and professional and knew exactly what he was doing. I will defiantly have him doing more work in the future. I have new flooring that I'm going to have installed, Steve will be the one I trust to do this job. He is an excellent contractor.

Steve always responds promptly to calls, shows up on time and lets me know when schedules change. I appreciate how he keeps the work area clean. He gives me suggestions and feedback on home improvement project design ideas, and is very patient when I have a lot of questions or change my mind about a plan! What started with a small drywall project turned into an amazing relationship with a contractor we've turned to for project after project, year after year. Steve does the majority of the work himself, which leads to consistent top-notch work product and unsurpassed customer service. Unlike many other contractors, you will never have to chase him down and beg him to come back and work on your half-finished project. When Steve takes a job, he works that job until it's done. Additionally, Steve is a family man and it shows. Never before have I had a contractor offer to stop cutting tile to help my wife bring in groceries from the car. He cares about people and their projects. We cannot imagine hiring another contractor for any work on our house. May 2014 - We just bought our new ranch home and it needed a lot of work. After our recommended drywall contractor was too busy, we received a referral to Steve of New Vision Interiors. Steve was also busy, but he was willing to come work on our house after 5 pm for several nights to squeeze in drywall work that we needed in order for us to be able to move into our new home. The painters we had hired decided to start using Steve instead of the prior "recommended" drywaller because they were so impressed with the quality of his work. Steve's work was fantastic, as he was able to seamlessly match texture to existing drywall, which is challenging to do. Ask Steve about "quiet rock" drywall and "rock wool" insulation for sound deadening - it was a great improvement to our house. As we were getting to know Steve through this project, he mentioned he did kitchen and bath remodels. Boy did our house need it! October 2014 - We fired our smooth-talking kitchen remodeler/designer and hired Steve for a major kitchen remodel. We removed a drop ceiling (1980s, you were so cruel!) and changed the kitchen layout. The kitchen is literally in the middle of the house and the ultimate gathering place so it was important to us to get everything exactly right. Steve worked with us on design options and was extremely easy to collaborate with. We knew exactly what we wanted in some areas, and we had no clue what we wanted in other areas of the kitchen remodel. Everything was custom and Steve patiently walked us through the entire process. He is excellent about always being in communication with us. On the kitchen remodel, Steve built a walk-in pantry where none existed, put in cherry cabinets (he uses a great subcontractor for this work), granite, wood flooring, new lighting, Jenn-Aire appliances (the induction cooktop is awesome), downdraft, a new island with prep sink, and painstakingly cut glass tile backsplash. We receive compliments from literally everyone who sees our kitchen, which you can't help but see the moment you walk in our house. We couldn’t have been more pleased and we knew that the next time we needed a contractor, we would be calling on Steve. July 2015 - I decided to replace the ancient vinyl flooring in a bathroom and discovered the toilet had been leaking slowly for quite some time. The damage ran across the bathroom from under the vanity to the tub. This was not a planned remodel, all I wanted to do was replace the floor! However, we decided that since we had to pull so much out of the bathroom to repair the damage, we would just go ahead and do a full remodel - the bathroom needed it anyway. So we called Steve. He came over to the house within days to review the project. He fit us into his schedule and got to work, starting with repairing the damaged subfloor. Once that was done, he again helped with design. For example, we had the option of putting in a standard length tub or a larger tub to fill the bigger space we had. We spent the relatively few extra dollars and ended up with a much more pleasing look, with the tub fully centered in the room and tile on all three walls that looks "right." Steve isn’t pushy and doesn’t try to upsell products just to make more money or prolong a project; instead, he makes design suggestions and will recommend design tweaks where it makes sense. We put in custom cabinets (that my wife actually designed), new lighting, replaced that darn leaky toilet, and added crown moulding. Once again, we are very impressed with the quality of Steve’s work. February 2016 - We are currently in the middle of a laundry/mudroom and bathroom remodel with Steve. We decided what we wanted to do, then called Steve to simply quote the work and tell us when he could start. We no longer bother with getting additional bids from other contractors, because we don't want anyone else doing the work AND we know Steve does his work at very reasonable prices. For this project, Steve relocated a wall for us - doubling the size of our laundry/mudroom and decreasing the size of a guest bathroom. Steve did the demo, more subfloor work, rough carpentry, and worked very hard to create a layout of a custom size/dimension neo-angle corner shower. We will have the same cabinet maker put in the cabinets, including bench seating and beadboard in the mudroom. Like the previous work, this project is coming together beautifully and we are so excited to have a beautiful and highly functional new laundry/mudroom and guest bathroom. Upcoming projects - Steve will be the first and only person we call for upcoming projects. We plan to explore his creativity with a massive master bedroom addition. Steve was very careful how he masked off all of his work to protect the surroundings. Indeed the painter who came in later marveled about how good a job he did. Steve and his workers were respectful, friendly and did excellent work. Clean up was meticulous. I would definitely hire them again. I do not know what Steve charged my builder but the extra work he did for me was done for quite a competitive price.
