In the approx 6 months I used their service they came out twice without me having to call and remind them to come. Sometimes I had to call multiple times to get someone out here. They also charged me for service but didn't keep my pool chemicals in balance so the pH and chlorine became OFF THE CHARTS. That destroyed my less than one year old geothermal recirculator which now has to be replaced at a cost of $3000.00. I had to pay to get an independent geothermal specialist out here to assess the damage the chemical imbalance caused. And I have multiple leaks all over my pool equipment room which are going to require repair at a yet to be determined cost so we know we at least have more seal and valve issues. I also found out that a $600.00 repair Morton's recommended I have them do, but didn't, was bogus. They said I was getting debris in my pool from the sand filter which Morton's said was not filtering properly. The problem turned out to be that no one had been properly cleaning out the filter traps in that area OR regularly vacuuming out the pool. I've tried to call Rob to discuss all of this but he hasn't returned my calls. Rob admitted to me the last time he was out here that he doesn't really know pools/spas very well and Anthony, his installer/repair person is the go-to guy. The problem is Anthony apparently just up and left for a few months on 'family issues' and I got damage from their NON-PERFORMANCE and POOR PERFORMANCE of the work they agreed to do. I recommend you NEVER use Morton's for pool/spa issues. Like their names says: STOVES. Pools and spas are where Rob would like to grow his business, but he will end up costing you way more than you expect because of the EXPENSIVE REPAIRS you'll get stuck with.
Description of Work: Morton's was hired to maintain/service my indoor salt pool and outdoor bromine hot tub, and to make repairs should they be needed. Morton's was supposed to come out at the first of each month as agreed.

The hot tub cover is not made for this hot tub. The tie down straps are located in a place where clips cannot be placed on the sides of the tub. The sides are designed with indentations running up and down on each panel. They pooh poohed my complaints and made me come in and pay them for another cover. Then several months later they refunded the payment I had made. The hot tub filtering system did not seem to be working well and I was told to replace the filter (after one month's use). I was told that often there is dirt in the pipes that has to come out and that was what made the first filter so dirty. So after replacing the filter I noticed stuff floating around in the tub so I paid $160 to have the tub drained and cleaned. I was told that stuff floating in the tub was skin. In 15 years of using my old hot tub almost daily, I never saw stuff floating in that one...yet the brand new tub seems to cause my skin to fall off. Well, I think that even if my skin was falling off, the hot tub filtering system should filter it out. In addition I examined some of those particles. Some of them could have been skin, but one definitely was not...there was some black stingy fibers in it. These people are very pleasant but the walk and the talk are in different directions. I would not purchase a clearwater tub again, nor would I purchase anything from these guys. My friend says the problem is that I am a woman without a husband and a senior citizen to boot. That is just 3 strikes against me I guess. When they delivered the tub the put a bag of plastic bubble wrap in the back yard and a box with a cover lifter in the side yard where the deck construction was going on. I found the cover lifter a month or so later after it had been destroyed by rain. I thought they had left it there by mistake and called to tell them. They told me it was mine, that it came with the tub. Yet I guess I was supposed to install it myself. A professional organization would have sent someone out to make sure the thing was delivered and set up corrrectly. A professional organization would have changed cover suppliers so that future customers would receive a cover that fit their tubs. A professional organization would have just paid for a new cover rather than charging the customer and then making a refund at a future date. That is why I gave these guys an F in professionalism. December update... It seems my spa has a case of spa mold. I was told this the other day when I took in a sample of the stuff that was in my tub. I was pretty angry although the man at Mortons told me three times that the problem was NOT the hot tub rather it was my lack of proper maintenance with the tub. I told him I heard him all three times and tried to explain that I was just frustrated with a process whereby I had already paid someone to clean the tub at Morton's recommendation. He asked if I wanted some chemicals to eliminate the mold. I said I would have to do that and reminded him I should get a discount on supplies. He headed to the shelf to get the supplies, turned around and told me to GET OUT of the store. He said they don't want my business. I left. I just spoke with Angie's list personnel and was told that Morton's received my original comments so I suspect that is the reason I was told to leave the store. At any rate I have purchased over $100 worth of chemicals from another company to try to eliminate the mold. After one treatment there is still mold in the tub and and the tub is now being bathed in chlorine for the next two days. I was told by a professional that they had NEVER heard of mold developing at such a rapid rate. Usually it happens when water sits in an unattended tub. I begin to wonder whether I was sold an infected spa. Oh yeah, the free cover lifter does not work on this tub. As mentioned above there are access panels on all four sides of the tub and installing the cover lifter would render the panels inoperable.
Description of Work: I purchased a hot tub. The hot tub was delivered in May, I believe. But it was not turned on until the beginning of August as there were holdups with the deck construction. It was left up to me to figure out how to install the tub, turn it on, set it up initially. No written instructions were provided. I visited Mortons several times and each time they told me what to do to correctly set up the spa and use it. By sept 6 I was so frustrated with stuff floating in the tub and I had been back and forth to Mortons and was told the stuff floating in my tub was my own skin. I did everything they told me to . No one ever came out to make sure the tub was correctly set up. So, for $7000 I got an empty tub, no written instructions and a promise that all future supply purchases would receive a discount.
