Mike's Handyman Services

Mike was professional, friendly & capable. He looked at my "Honey-Do-List" and we talked about each job & his experience. He went right to work, finished the job in one hour. Informed me that he can do everything my little house needs. He was on time, which I appreciated.

His charges were reasonable he did the work and did it right. He was booked up for almost three weeks and could not get here because he does nice work. I spent $357 on that service. I liked him because he is very professional and he does really good work and as quickly as possible. He does not drag on the job as some of them do. He took a little longer than I figured. I have also used him for 2 other projects and very knowledgable and reasonable and went above and beyond. recommend him to everyone, i'm going to use him again very soon.

Arrived on time completed work and charged a fair price. Will use their service again.

I usually try to fix minor issues myself but when I fail or know that the task is beyond my skill or physical ability, I call Mike, who is always able to fit me into his schedule in a reasonable amount of time. This time was no different although I did have fewer tasks than I seem to have normally. Mike is always on time and pleasant. Before he left I also asked him if he could paint the external trim on my home this summer. The siding is fine but the trim has deteriorated a bit and I would like to rectify that before it gets any worse. Mike said he would provide me an estimate in a few days so we are tentatively planning for that work this summer.

Did not hire. I think Mike would do very good work based on our conversations.

We bought the ladder and the handyman did the work. It took a while for him to get back to us. He had a problem since his partner was sick, but he eventually called us and we had it rescheduled. We were happy with the work. He did say that he does painting and other things since he is a handyman. We told him that we would keep him in mind if we needed some other stuff done. So we would use his services in the future too.

The service was fine and the bid was reasonable. Went with other contractor due to cost and access to products to complete the work in a timely manner. I would gladly have worked with Mike if the situation were different.

We were very pleased with their work. They came on time the day they scheduled. They worked to complete the job even though the paint store did not have enough paint. He went over to Portland and picked up the paint that was needed. They kept us informed as the work progressed. We were very impressed with their work and professionalism. We were 100% satisfied with the job they did.

I called Mike on Monday (8/16) to receive quote for installing one window blind. He promptly called back the same day; he was in our house to relay a bid by Tuesday morning. Tim, one of the handymen, arrived at our house promptly at 9am (as arranged) on Thursday, and completed the work within the one hour quoted by Mike. Fantastic job and saved me time and hassle.

It went really well and he did a good job.

We've used Mike for at least half a dozen projects from the very small to pretty big over the last 4 years. We will continue to use his services for as long as he's in business. In fact, I just called him to talk to us about a new job. He does really beautiful finish work and the more complicated and difficult the more he seems to rise to the occasion. He has always been good about getting back to us and is reasonably punctual and very professional. On one occasion Jannie (his wife & partner) did some painting in a bathroom for us. There was trouble with the adhesion that wasn't apparent for several months. When we finally brought it to their attention during the course of a later job they redid the bathroom at no cost to us. Mike is a little pricey and there is some tendency for the price to increase as the job goes on although, to be fair, it is usually because of circumstances that were not apparent when he estimated the job. I'd still ask for a firm bid rather than an estimate whenever possible. The only other thing I'd add is that Mike has been doing this a long time and he has an amazing amount of experience. He can figure out how to do just about anything with real finesse but if all it takes is a lot of simple brute force he is probably not your guy.

They did a fabulous job. They were really polite and they were reasonably priced.

He didn't call back before we had somebody else and the work was finished.

Mike & his helper Tim were polite and friendly. Mike did an excellent job, acting in a professional way, calling us if he was going to be late.

He was a very nice person, and a real gentleman. He gave me a bid and told me to call him when I was ready to have it done. He did a follow up call to let me know that he is available whenever I need him. I am not in a position to have the work done now, but plan to use him when I can.

This price is what he charges per hour. He did a great job. The work was first rate. He was extremely punctual and cleaned up beautifully, and that was very important to me. He was just a little expensive, but I would definitely use him again in the future and would recommend him to others.

Went very smoothly. Mike was accessible and attentive, worked with me in depth to get the price to something that I could manage. Came on time when he said that he would and let me know promptly if there was going to be a delay.

I called and left a voicemail message for Mike on Monday-he called me Wednesday morning and performed the work on Friday afternoon, all of which I felt was a reasonable time frame for something that was not critical. Mike did an excellent job; was fast; and very tidy. When I mentioned that I was impressed with how fastidious he was being, he said he would prefer that I remember him for his good work, not the mess he left! He and his assistant were both very pleasant. I would definitely ask Mike to perform work in my home again and have already recommended him to others.

My inquiry was answered the same day and a time for an estimate was quickly arranged. Mike was courteous and professional. He gave a reasonable price for the work but declined the job because he was not certified to install the product I had purchased. I appreciated his honesty.

Not very good as he did not call me back. He must have more work than he can handle.

We had a kitchen sink faucet (expensive) that had been a leaky headache from the start, over seven years ago. We called Mike to come and fix it. Because my wife had slipped and broke her leg, we were unable to be home when the work was scheduled to be done. I called Mike and told him to just come through the back door and do whatever was necessary. When we returned home we found a beautiful new faucet installed and lo and behold we don't need the drip pan any longer. Janie had taken it upon herself to select a new faucet that fits into our kitchen perfectly. These two are awesome. Thanks for a great job.

He was very detail oriented and even left us some pre-cut baseboard for after our wood mantle was installed. The job two two men about four hours.

I was looking for a service to help with some household projects. I called and left a message describing the job, left my number, and asked for a call back. They never returned my call.

It was a pleasure working with Mike. He responded promptly and offered an acceptable estimate for the cost of the work. The only delay in the project was because the style of base molding was not in stock, and we had to wait an extra day. I will be using Mike on another project in the Fall.
