Mather and Sons were terrific to work with. Prompt service by sending out a technician, Wade, to check out the problem with the pump the very next day. Wade was thorough and explained in detail all problems he found. He then gave me a quote and had a team of very nice men, Omar and Hunter, out the next day to do the work. They were fast, courteous and answered all questions I had. I would highly recommend them for any of your pump or associated needs.

Too bad I had to give them one star; they do not deserve it. Came out to the house and did a band-aid fix, and quoted that we needed a new tank, pump, etc. After waiting three weeks (we called several times and they said they would call back and never did), we went with a different plumber who charged less to fix it than Mathers charged to come out to the house to give us the bogus quote. Needless to say, the leak was fixed in under 2 hours by another company. This is EXACTLY why you need to get more than one quote.

Terrible they tried to sell us a whole new pump for $5000. Hall and sons fixed the problem for less than $100. I recently heard other customers that have had the same negative upselling experience. Stay far away from this company and call Hall and sons.

When the crew arrived on time, they told me that they looked up the county records and said that the well was placed in 1994 and that the pump was original. They said that they will virtually be doing the same labor in replacing pipes to install the manual pump system to hand pump my well that I should have the old pump replaced at the same time. They had the foresight to have loaded the truck with a new pump and all necessary parts. I feared the old pump would fail and they made sense to me. I greatly appreciated them discounting the normal labor for installing the new pump since they were doing virtually the same work already. I was saved several thousand dollars and got a new needed pump and pipes at the same time! I have had them work on our well before and they have always been professional and timely. We live in a mountain community and they are the go too well folks up here in our little community of 90 homes.

Mather has been our go-to experts for our well/water system for many years. Since the well is our only source of water when we are in need of help its important that we get a quick response. They have always provided extremely rapid response, efficient service and professionalism. ABOVE & BEYOND: When the tornado hit our home a couple years ago we requested they build a new industrial strength clothesline for us and they delivered the finest clothesline poles in the county! They feel like family. Thanks to the Mather Team!!!

Mather and Sons kept in contact with us about the date and time of the service throughout the prior week. After hearing from them earlier in the morning that they were to arrive, we asked if they had a catch tub they could bring with them (our older pressure tank produced a lot of moisture from condensation during the summer months). They said they had one and would bring it with them. The tub cost the same as those found at Lowes/Home Depot. They showed up at 09:00 for what they warned could be an all day job. One crew worked on pulling out and changing the well pump while another crew changed out the pressure tank, corrected plumbing issues created by the original owner of the house, and installed extra valves to make it easier to change out the filter system. They brought a new house filter system with them but were more than happy to install the new system we had already purchased somewhere else. When the work was done they tested the system and found a leak up at the well. They shut it down, emptied the system and fixed the leak. They then recharged the system and inspected their work. They were completely done by 2:00 PM. They performed excellent service in a timely manner at a competitive price.

I had a problem with the water flow in my home stopping completely. The water flow would stop for about a minute and then would resume. The problem persisted for over a month and the plumber I had look at it could not figure out what was wrong. I contacted Mather and Son and had some trouble getting them to call me back to schedule service. I saw the negative comments here on Angie's List and was going to give up on them and contact another provider. However, I got a call from their office that they'd had a cancellation and they wanted to know if a technician could come out that day. When he arrived, their technician immediately diagnosed the problem and clearly explained to me why I was losing water pressure and what he would do to fix it. He repaired it in less than an hour and it cost me a service call and $15 in parts. I am thrilled that the problem has been solved and will definitely use Mather and Sons again (even if it is a little hard to get them scheduled)

It is a family owned and an established company. They are my usual guys; I have used them for years. They have a very outstanding reputation for honesty and good workmanship so I have peace of mind when I use them. They will come as soon as they can and they are as good as they can be. I have recommended them to others as well.

No work was done by this provider. Even after we called many times during the week--starting Monday-- to try to schedule someone to come and look at our well/pump/tank problems, they would not return our calls. Finally we called a different provider who came the next day (Friday). This company did call us on the day the other provider was coming to ask if they could schedule a service call, but we declined their services telling them that we had been calling all week so finally went with a different company

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: F F as in a major FAIL 1. The well pump is erratic: pressure goes up and down to dramatically making house water flow too dramatic. 2. The filter placed on the incoming house line is leaking. They will not replace it and will not tell me where I can find the broken part to replace it myself! 3. Soft water softener makes the house water and quot;ocean waterand quot; salty. I called to have them come fix the problem. They responded with a man who said, and quot;Im not a soft water softener guy so I don't know what's wrongand quot; but you have to pay for the service call. 4. The soft water softener tank is now leaking. I tried last year to get service. They refused to take my calls citing that I refused to pay for the and quot;service calland quot; when they sent an unqualified and quot;technicianand quot; who admitted he didn't know what to do. In a lurch, I went ahead and paid for the prior visit. After payment, they gave me the run around, despite daily calls until they finally said, and quot;we won't be able to help youand quot; They conitnued to refuse to tell me where I could get replacement parts for the leaking filter. 5. A year passes: still leaking (I have a drain to catch it as long as it doesn't blow) and I re-contact the office and ask for the and quot;water softener specialistand quot; (We've been drinking salty water for a year now and my blood pressure is up!) Again the snide girl at the front counter gives us the run around for another 10 days (daily calls) and then states again, and quot;we can't help youand quot; Their mission statement is that they will and quot;work their hardest to install and maintain your system.and quot; I have been abandoned. They now refuse to take calls, they refuse to give information, their installed products are leaking and dysfunctional and they refuse to even come look. DON'T HIRE THEM, AND DON'T STEP ON THEIR TOES OR YOU WILL SUFFER THEIR WRATH. THEY WILL ABANDON YOU WITH SUBSTANDARD, LEAKING, DYSFUNCTIONAL EQUIPMENT. THEY WILL NOT RETURN CALLS OR SERVICE THEIR EQUIPMENT. FURTHER, THEY WILL TORMENT YOU WITH DISRESPECT AND IRE.

They were on time. They let us know that the work that they were doing might cause other issues with the well and warned us that, that could happen. It did not happen but they let us know that taking the old pressure tank out could cause issues with the pump so we might have to replace the pump. They were able to do it without having to replace the pump. It was nice that they said it upfront so that we knew what could happen.

Horrible, horrible, horrible.

They did the work in a timely fashion. We have used them for many years. They are always responsive and fair priced. They are always a pleasure to do business with. If we have any issues then we can call them.

Mathers and Sons installed a 1700 gal holding reservoir on the well of the home I purchased 2 years later. After identifying a sink hole around the tank and contaminated drinking water, I hired a geotech engineer to determine the cause of the failure. The conclusion in written report was that it was improper instillation. I contacted Mathers and Sons for an estimate to fix the damage after several unanswered calls. After an on site inspection they estimated $7700 to repair and replace the damaged reservoir and recommended a different and proper instillation method. When informed that they installed the reservoir initially they refused to schedule the work and told me to find somebody else to fix the problem.

We were having trouble with our well. A friend of ours (a well driller) recommended Mather and Sons over another pump company in our area. We called Mather to come diagnose the problem. They told us the pump was bad and gave us a price for a new one. It was a day or two and they were able to install our new one. At around 4:45 pm the day it was installed, we had a problem with our water. So my husband called them and the owner immediately came out. It turned out it wasn't their fault. Bottom line, I was impressed that he came out right away when he was probably getting ready to go home. There was no charge for the original diagnosis or the second service call. Great company!

They were excellent. We didn't have any water over the weekend. They responded to our call on Saturday and they were there two hours later. They were really good. The solved the problem really quickly and it didn't cost too much. It was easy to get a hold of them. They were courteous and answered all of my questions. It took them about an hour to fix it.

Estimator had called the well driller and had all the information when he called me. Better pipes and parts for the same money as other bids.

My mother in law is 84. She was out of water for 3 days. If they had just told me they couldn't do it the first day it would have saved us all a lot of trouble. I could have called someone else.

GOOD SERVICE. CAME OUT IN BAD WEATHER WHEN WE THOUGHT SOMETHING IN THE WELL HAD FROZEN. POINTED OUT PROBLEM AND CAME BACK WITHIN THE WEEK TO REPLACE THE PUMP. ARRIVED WHEN SAID THEY WOULD AND OFFERED WARRANTY FOR THE PART.

MATHER AND SONS HAVE PROVEN TO BE A VERY RELIABLE AND HIGH QUALITY PUMP REBUILD AND REPAIR SHOP. THEY ARE COMPETITIVELY PRICED, WHILE DOING EXCELLENT WORK. THEIR ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION ARE FIRST RATE.

WHEN THE COUNTY WAS DOING ROAD REPAIR, THEY CUT OUR WATER LINE WHICH IN TURN BURNED UP THE PUMP TO THE WELL. THEY WERE TERRIFIC IN COMING OUT AND GETTING THE JOB COMPLETED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
