LeafDrop Gutters & Downspouts

It went WONDERFULLY! Dan came out and gave me a bid. He told me I didn't actually "need" to replace the front gutter. I really appreciated his honesty and integrity in not trying to sell me anything I didn't truly need! That's a quality I really look for but don't always find. Also his communication was flawless. I always knew exactly what was going to be done and when. Great about keeping me well informed every step of the way. Thanks, Dan! Shane and his crew came out for the install shortly thereafter and they were fast, efficient and friendly! Shane advised me one of the underground cement gutter lines was clogged and referred me to Grumpy's Drain Cleaning who was every bit as good as this company. When they say good people know good people, it really is true. Shane is very easy to work with and we were completely satisfied with the superb outcome. Thanks Shane! I highly recommend this company. There is literally nothing I didn't like about them and that's really saying something.

Dan responded to my e-mail quickly. He set up an appointment a couple of days later. No long wait for an appointment. He arrived on time, very pleasant. He did a great job. I would recommend hiring the company.

I am putting this in for others like me who read through to find services. This company is listed as doing Gutter Cleaning and also Gutter Repairs, but when I put in a request for an estimate on a cleaning, I received a polite and prompt reply from the owner stating that they are only doing full installations at this time. If we were replacing our gutters completely, I would definitely contact this company for an estimate - one of the few who were prompt with a reply! But if you just need a cleaning or repair, you can cross them off your list.

Overall, and in the end, very good. The performance of the product is great. I had some issues with the appearance and it took some back and forth, but Dan and Shane really came through. I'm very happy with the end result.

Great! I was sold on the funnel shaped piece that comes out of the gutter to the down spout. My old gutters and down spouts would collect pine needles and leaves at this location, causing the gutters to overflow. I hated getting the ladder out during a down pour to unclog it. After the gutters and the downspouts were installed, I no longer needed to get on a ladder during a rain storm, cussing the whole time.

Very well. Erik was flexible about what services he would provide, based on thorough examination of my gutters [overflow, downspouts clogged]. He replaced one rusted gutter with aluminum, and replaced all of the downspouts with his patented "No Clog 'Leaf Drop' Downspouts". They have a wider funnel-shaped opening to the gutter, so more stuff gets into the downspout, also he put in traps near the bottom to screen out solids. Everything has worked great this rainy fall

I contacted LeafDrop via Angie's List and got a call from Eric McDaniels that evening. I called back today to schedule a time and he was able to provide same-day service for us. He was friendly, efficient, and did a great job. We would absolutely use this company again!

One of the easiest experiences with a home contractor ever. They communicated well, provided a complete and professional product/install. Cleaned up after completion. Followed up after the job was complete. It was awesome.

LeafDrop has come through for us like a charm! We live in an historic home and had a downspout problem resulting from a recent exterior refurbishing project. We knew it was going to take ingenuity and experience to make things right again. Erik McDaniels from LeafDrop stopped by to give us a bid, quickly figured out a good solution, and offered us a very reasonable bid. I accepted the bid immediately, and was stunned when Erik said he was ready to start ~ he'd brought the materials he figured he might need. About an hour later, the job was done ... and done beautifully. Erik is a super good guy to work with. We're so pleased to have worked with LeafDrop on this project!

Dan was prompt in providing an estimate with material samples. Robert and Rick did an excellent job installing the gutters and advised me when the install plan would need to be revised. I would definitely hire again.

Fine, except I asked them if they checked all drains to make sure they were free flowing; they said yes and left without delay, but later I found one drain clogged with gravel and debris below their screens. Had to clear the blockage over several days.

I researched all the gutter covers and Leaf Guard types, none of them seem to work over time. Initial reviews are always decent, but you look about 5 years down the road, they stop working. I found Leaf Drop on Angie's List and the design seemed to be a well designed and functional product. As other reviews have said, the design is so the leaves can move down the spouts and be cleaned out of the water path. Dan came out to give me an estimate for both a fix and a total replacement to the "6K" larger capacity gutters. The installers were great, they added a second downspout to my back gutter which always over flowed in heavy rain. So far, been working well. Have had a great experience with Dan and his crew, will do business with them again when I replace my entire house system. Good company and product.

Initial rep who performed the estimate was spot on time, prepared with ladder, camera & 'SMARTS' to assess what we needed with clarity & even a nice sense of humor. The old gutters were removed the day before with care not to harm the garden/landscaping. Efficient job performed by ONE guy! The installation crew was so conscientious that when they discovered a flaw in one of the rolls of material, they brought it to my attention and STOPPED work until another roll was delivered to our site. Our property was thoroughly cleaned as though they'd never been there, the new downspouts were PROPERLY installed & the coordinated colors they helped me select look fantastic. The price was higher than other estimates so it took a bit more than we'd anticipated. But it all made sense; this product will last & NOT RUST THRU as quickly as the original gutters did. And there will be NO MORE STANDING WATER since their product is properly designed.

Erik was very responsive and professional from start to finish. He came over very quickly after my initial call to assess and bid, provided a bid on the spot, and then came out and did the work within a week of that. The bid was on the high side, but we had let our gutters and roof go for a couple of years without a cleaning, so there was extra work to be done. We had a lot of moss that had to be scraped and treated. He completed the work in a day and cleaned up after himself very nicely.

Leaf Drop sent out a estimator person to talk with me about details of the install. He was knowledgeable, and understanding of my slightly special needs (gutters on a geodesic dome, and I needed two different colors of gutters and downspouts.) When time for install came, the crew was on time. They responded well to a change I wanted them to make in the slope of drainage. The installation materials (gutters and connectors) were first rate. Great Job!

Dan and Erik were great. Dan was by far the best price and was honest and easy to work with. Erik came back to fix a leak and arrived early and took care of it with no problems. I would recommend this company to anyone who asks.

Sales representative and estimator Erik McDaniels came out the same day I called him and he promptly gave me a written , complete, and detailed bid to replace all gutters and downspouts on our 1944 home. We accepted the bid. Prior to having the work done, Eric cleaned our roof. The gutters and downspouts were replaced in less than a day by a crew of four. We were notified of exactly when the work would be done and the firm communicated closely with us. They did a wonderful job and the cost was very reasonable. We are completely satisfied. The whole transaction went as one always hopes for. We highly recommend using this company and special thanks tho Eric Mcdaniels.

Perfect. Called around 9:00 a.m. and gutters running free at 11:00. New customer for them. Can't imagine more prompt service. Office staff professional, Erik was exactly what you'd want: knowledgeable, careful, thorough. Not only would I use them again, ordered better downspouts from them for future work. Second story gutters on a high side of house: serious ladder work.

Erik did a wonderful job. Quickly assessed situation and provided recommendations. He discussed the LeafDrop downspout system, but I did not feel pressured to make a purchase; rather, I feel well educated about my options for the future. He was professional and knowledgeable; would definitely call LeafDrop again!

Dave came promptly and gave us an estimate. We scheduled time to install and start the project. Unfortunately they had to cancel it due to an emergency. I made multiple emails and contacts without a response. I did like their offer and their products, however its unfortunate that we felt ignored!

Made an appointment for an estimate. Husband arranged to come home from work to meet. I received a call after the appt arrival time that he was stuck on a job and could not make the appt. I appreciated the call and not just a "no-show" however a heads up earlier so my husband didn't make a trip home for nothing would have been better. He wanted to reschedule, but I needed my husband to check when he could get away from work again and let him know we would get back with him when we were able to reschedule. About a week later we found an estimate stuck on our door. I have mixed feeling about this, luckily we were not home. We did not get a call beforehand, and I would have been a bit freaked out if I found a stranger walking around the front of my house, and I am not fond of unannounced visitors. On the other hand, had I been able to make heads or tails of what he wrote on the estimate, it would have been nice to have just had the information. However, we couldn't tell what the "plan" was based on us being laymen, and not being able to understand what he wrote. We knew the bottom line though, the price. It was pretty high, we thought, given it was the first bid we got and we just had a relatively small section that needed to be replaced. I expected that we would later get a phone call to explain the bid, but we didn't. I can't attest to the work they would have performed, based on other reviews they likely would have done a good job but the whole process of just trying to get an estimate was a fail for us. The estimate ended up being SEVERAL hundred dollars more than we ended up paying another company. Every other company that provided an estimate, recommended the same 2 options for repairs, and we picked the higher priced repair, so I have to assume Leafdrop was bidding the same, or something similar on their bid. I had one bid roughly the same as Leafdrop, slightly higher, but the others were lower and we are completely satisfied.
