The Kings of Coatings completed three projects at our house and the results are spectacular. 10 years of rain, sun, and wind had definitely taken its toll on our home. We had some water damage over a window in the basement, wind and rain had destroyed a storm door on the upper level, and the whole house needed recaulking and exterior painting. After asking neighbors for recommendations, we found Andrew McKinnon and The Kings of Coatings. Andrew examined the entire house and carefully described to us how his crew would complete the work that needed to be done. We were very impressed by his enthusiasm and his encyclopedic knowledge of paint and coatings. Within a couple days, Andrew presented us with a very competitive bid and we signed the contract. By the next week, Andrew's carpenter had replaced the window moulding in the basement and installed a new door on the upper level. Andrew and his crew then power washed the house and then did one of the best and most complete caulking jobs we've ever seen. Our house is over 4000 square feet, and they re-caulked every single Hardiplank joint, every window, and every door to ensure that our house would be weather tight. After meticulously taping off the windows, Andrew painted the house and trim, the exposed concrete footings, and even surprised us by painting the vents in the basement so that they would look as fresh as the house. In addition, Andrew diagnosed and remedied the poor paint job on our front door. For years, the paint on that door would bubble and crack. Andrew determined that several coats of both oil based and latex paint had been applied to the door. He then spent hours stripping the door down to its raw fiberglass and finally painted it using an industrial grade paint that will outlast us! We can't say enough good things about Andrew; our house looks fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed working with him. He and his crew truly are the Kings of Coatings. The Longmans
