Description of Work: Jose of JR's was very polite and showed up at the time arranged. His prices were also reasonable. My only problem was I wanted the tall weeds pulled that were sprayed the 2 weeks before, and when I called him to ask if he could stop by so I could explain what I expected of the bi-weekly maintenance he said he couldn't stop by until the next scheduled appt 2 weeks after the upcoming appt. When his employee stopped by we tried to explain what we wanted done but he didn't speak ANY English & didn't understand what we wanted done. We decided to terminate the service.

We have a large Japanese Maple tree in our backyard. These trees require expert sculpting, and ours had gotten severely overgrown during a year-plus that we had been away traveling. Junior's had done some landscape cleanup/repair through our property manager prior to our return and had done a great job, so we asked them to tackle this tree. Ruben arrived on time and was extremely efficient and skilled. The tree now looks better than it ever has -- changed the whole character of our yard for the better. A general note: Jose, who owns Junior's Landscaping, is professional and his team does fantastic work. We would recommend them without reservation.

I started working with Jose almost 4 years ago. He worked on my personal home and has done work for me professionally as a home builder. Jose is very honest and hard working. He is appreciative of the work I give him and if I am ever not satisfied, he responds very well. I would recommend him to any one, he will not take advantage of you; although, he dose need to be reminded once in awhile of the details. He is my go-to guy for many small projects as well. He services my yard weekly and has since we started doing business.
Description of Work: Full landscape including planting, irrigation and new lawns to monthly service. He has done many small projects for me.

We picked Junior's Landscaping out of the phone book and did not know much about this contractor. We already had the plan and the blocks on site because we had originally planned to build the planter ourselves. They did a good job building the planter although they did not have experience with that type of block and it took about a day longer than they had estimated. We live about 1/2 hour east of Vancouver and they usually arrived at 9:30am or later and left for the day about 5 or 5:30pm. It took a crew of 3 about 4 days to build the large planter. They built the planter a little smaller than the plan, so had blocks left over. With the purchase of a few more blocks they built 2 smaller planters. We then asked for a bid to fill the planters with dirt, redo the sprinklers and apply sod to part of the back yard. It was about 2 weeks before they were able to start that project and completed that in about 3 days. We applied weedkiller to the area to be sodded. Jose had originally said he would rototill and rake the area but later said that wasn't necessary. They just raked the area, applied a layer of 3-way soil and then the sod. A couple of days after the project was completed, we discovered leaks in 2 sprinkler pipes in a zone that had not been activated when they were doing the project. We fixed one ourselves, and Jose came to fix the other leak two days after we had called him. Complaints: We had to get some of the materials. They didn't till the ground before adding the sod (not sure if it really was not necessary). The job wasn't very detailed in the written bid; receipts for payment were not given; we had to call twice before he came to fix the leak after he had been paid. The workers did not seem to put in a full day working on our project. Praises: The planters look great and the lawn is doing well after about a month. The sprinklers are well placed for watering the lawn.
Description of Work: Junior's Landscaping built a large block planter 60 feet in circumference and about 2 feet high. They also built 2 smaller planters, filled the planters with fill dirt, redid the sprinklers and applied sod to part of our back yard. We had originally hired them to build the planter, then had them do the rest of the work because we liked how the planter had turned out. They also installed a drip watering line to the planters and several flower beds.
