Went very well. Provider was extremely punctual, started and finished on stated date. He was professional and quick with the assessment and quote. Cost was within budget for changes/updates made to fence. He was thorough with the fence and we are very thankful. It is nice to have a working gate and a fence that will hold up.
Description of Work: He patched up our fence. It was sagging in places and needed to have replaced boards in other places.

Very punctual and cooperative workers. Readily accepted my advice/concerns during construction. Went out of way to ensure that I and my neighbor were satisfied with final product, including, adding a cover strip to hide the slight opening at the interface of the fence and retaining boards. Phill, the owner, is a Coast Guard veteran, and shows exceptional pride in his workers and their capabilities. He readily provided new quotes to reduce costs and accommodate my neighbor's wishes. (It's always hard to work with 2 individuals with separate ideas.) Especially appreciate him providing additional U-clips to secure the foot-boards and installing a double keyed gate lock out of his own pocket. Compared to the other 2 quotes I received, Phil was able to save me $2000 while providing thicker fence boards and a higher quality of construction. Suggest everyone go and view completed fences before agreeing to hire a specific contractor, as I was amazed at the different construction practices and quality of materials. Extremely satisfied with workers, the final product, and Phil's zest for satisfying his clients. When presented with the final bill (that was without additional charges for the many things he did beyond the initial contract), I was so impressed, that I actually paid more than the final invoice. Never done that before!
Description of Work: Replaced chain link with cedar fence supported by steel posts. Also installed extra tall powder coated posts to tie back bamboo stand. Had to remove overgrown/leaning bushes and trees and dig back area before installing retaining boards at bottom of fence. In addition, installed cedar fence with gate on front side of house, taking into account steep incline and my wish for a smooth transition.

They were timely and professional. They walked the property, made their recommendation and provided an estimate. The price was more than reasonable to me. They showed up on time, their work was neat and the new gate(s) and hardware are nicer than I would have picked for myself !! I called another fence company with an A rating, but they were only willing to do new fence and not fence repair. Too bad for them, because Husky was willing to take the job on no matter the size and for me that goes a long way. Too many contractors (while doing good work) only want big jobs and end up losing business to other firms like Husky. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Repaired sections of fence taken down by two different wind storms in 2014 and also created a gate on another section of fence where one had not existed prior.

Did a great job. Very professional, on time and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend these people. Phil was awesome to work with all the details. The workers were on time and worked diligently. Went above and beyond what was asked of them. Worth every penny that we spent on the job. Sorry it took so long to write this review.

The person arrived in a reasonable amount of time from when I contacted them and was punctual. They were quick and efficient, asking questions to ensure he understood what I wanted and then measuring the area. He promptly sent a bid/quote in email within a few days. All went well, but the quote was significantly higher than other quotes I'd received. So, I went with another contractor.

Phil and his crew were great. They replaced approximately 350 feet of an existing cedar fence that had started to rot. There are a number of things that made the work challenging - there is a garden around all of the fencing, the soil is very rocky, and there is a slope where soil tended to collect and rot the fence. Phil recommended putting treated lumber where the soil collected and setting the fence on top of it - the other contractor I had out did not recommend doing anything. They did an excellent job working around the plants in my garden. The crew cleaned up each day (it was a 3 day job). The fence and the gates that they made looked great, and I think the price was very reasonable for the work that they did. Phil listened to my needs and delivered. I have already recommended him to a neighbor who asked about my fence.

Phil and his team did a great job!!! Arrived on schedule, completed our pasture fence as scheduled and completed our yard fence a day sooner than expected. They were very easy to work with, made sure we were fully aligned on expectations prior to starting the job, and delivered excellent results. We would definitely recommend Phil and his team to our friends.

After getting estimates from a number of different providers we selected Huskyfence. His bid was fair, he listened to our questions and concerns and jus seemed like an easy person to deal with. He and his crew showed up on time, the work was done quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves each day and we now have a beautiful fence. Phil checked in with me each day to see if there were any questions or concerns. I would definitely work with him again.

I was contacted by phone and asked when would be good time to look at the fence. I gave him a time to meet me at the property and he called when he arrived 15 minutes early. He wanted to know what needed to be done and I told him I was just three blocks away and would be right there. He said that wasn't necessary. when I asked him when he coud provide a quote he said he would get it to me that evening. That was on the 20th of January. After getting replies and follow ups from several other contractors and lining up dates to quote the job, on the 26th I sent Huskyfence a note "Thanks for the no quote". He sent me a reply that stated "Thanks for showing up. The fence is in terrible shape". I am sure his work follows his professionalism.

Fantastic! Phil was quick, professional and very friendly. He had some excellent tips on how to eek some additional life out of the portions of fence that we weren't repairing at that time. We have since decided to have some work done on other sections on fencing on our property, and we will be using them again.

Phil and is crew were prompt, friendly and proffesional. They did a great job on our dog run and they also did a great job repairing our existing fencing, including realigning all of our gates. We have large dogs and they do not liked to be contained, they broke out of the original dog run, Phil came back and reinforced the fence and made it so they are now contained.

Contacted Husky in March 2014 while new house was being built. Went over options and styles and choose a cedar cap privacy fence. Phil recommended steel posts and steel frame gates . We liked his approach with the posts and fence style and selected him although our house wasn't scheduled to be completed until May. Well as things go, the house was behind schedule and got completed in July. Phil periodically stopped by to see how it was going and when we were ready. He worked with the landscaper to insure the grades were proper. He adjusted his schedule to coordinate work with the landscaper. His crew came and set the posts one day when the landscaper worked on another part of the house. He then returned to put up the fence once the grade was complete and left access so the landscaper could move material and machinery without damaging the fence. He returned when the landscaper was done moving material and completed the fence. The gates look great and the latch hardware is first class. The fence looks great and we have had neighbors come by to say how nice the fence looks and wish they had gone with Husky (they went with other local fence companies). In conclusion, Husky was professional, responsive and reasonably priced. Husky install crews were punctual and neat, cleaning up after the job. We are very satisfied with our fence and Phil said any problems, just call.

The original bid for the rear section of flat fence was $1,600+. The correct height of said rear fence was overlooked and was assumed to be 6' but once I had the old fence removed, I realized that it would take an 8' fence to do a like-for-like. It doubled the original bid to a little over $3,300 because now we needed more material (wood and cement mix) and larger diameter steel posts. I needed to meet with Phil a couple of times on-site after the original bid and before the fence was build. Once because locates weren't done properly and the other time was when I discovered I needed the 8' fence in the rear and also to inspect the area because it included a 24" high retaining wall that was deteriorating in one area. All systems were a go and the fence could now be scheduled for building. During those two meetings I also asked Phil to help me stop the erosion between the fence and sidewalk on the west side of the house. I did not want it overlooked and both times I brought it up I also said I'd pay whatever extra it would cost me to have it taken care of. Phil ended up putting 4-8' 2x6's on my side of the posts and cut the fence boards shorter on my side above the 2x6's. It worked great and looks nice. After the fence was completed I did a thorough inspection and realized that the rear fence was rising at the top of the boards from west to east about 6". There was a huge 6" gap at the bottom of the east end of the fence. My solution was to place a treated 2x6 at the bottom of each of the 10 sections of rear fence. I had to find the proper 2-3/8" brackets at Home Depot that would fit the posts and hold the boards. It was a gap any animal could have easily negotiated, especially my rear neighbor's small dog. I'm trying to keep the possums and raccoons out of my back yard as well. I have since also treated the fence with a sealer. It looks nice except for the boards at the bottom of my side of the fence. It doesn't look like they belong. It looks funny and bugs me that the fence was built in such a manner that I was forced to take measures like this for my new "dream fence" that my wife and I had been looking forward to for quite some time. I'm having trouble writing this review. Phil is a really nice person and I like the way he does business. I'm just disappointed my fence wasn't built properly. That's the way I see it. I did meet with Phil to discuss this issue and it started to turn into a p****** match when I talked about the cost of the boards and brackets for the 2x6's. He responded that he didn't charge me for the lumber he used next to my sidewalk on the west side to help with the erosion problem. To fix the problem you'd have to lower about 7 sections of fence or replace all of those boards. It would be costly and I don't have the funds to do it. To do it right you would have to remove the fence and rebuild part of it from scratch so that the runners were all in the correct spot too. I can't give Phil and Huskyfence a positive review. The fence is not level. At this time I would not recommend that he be hired to install a 75' section of flat fence on a rear property line.
Description of Work: I hired Husykfence to replace a fence that bordered three sides of my property. All sides were shared with my neighbors. Each side was about 75' long and was replaced like-for-like. The side fences were 6' good neighbor fences and the rear fence was an 8' flat fence with the flat side facing my neighbor.

It was an absolutely wonderful experience. I called on 4/4/2014 to find out about getting an estimate and Philip asked if Saturday, 4/5/2014 would work for us. We said that would be great that he could come so soon. We agreed upon 2:00 pm and Philip arrived promptly. He and my husband went out back and the fence runs were measured and the style we wanted was discussed and decided upon. He worked up a couple of estimates for us as we weren't sure if we wanted 6' or 8" centers. Then he suggested we might consider metal posts as they wouldn't rot and would be much stronger. We elected to follow he advice and go with the metal posts. He explained that he was booked for the week of April 7th but said he could get to us the following week (April 14th). At 8:30 am on April 14 the crew arrived and tore out our existing "falling down" fence and hauled it off except for the 4 x 4's which we wanted in our garden area. They moved them to garden area and then began digging new post holes. They got the holes done and set the posts and said that the cement had to set up before proceeding with the fence. We were told that the soil was really soft (very true) so to ensure the best results they'd let the cement set up for 2 days. They returned at 8:30 am on Wednesday (4/16/14) and proceeded to install the fences and gates. Where we wanted the gate was on sloped ground, so they dug out the soil so that we had no issues with the gate swing and moved and spread the soil to a low spot along the fence. When they got ready to leave, they picked up all debris and took it with them. We can't say enough about Philip and his crew. Everyone was very professional yet courteous, personable, and friendly. They worked steadily and didn't take breaks or stand around chatting. They answered any questions we had and if they were uncertain about anything they had us clarify so that it was done once and to our satisfaction. All in all, besides being much more reasonable in cost than the other bid; Philip was just downright pleasant and very conscientious and truly listened to we wanted. If I had need for another fence installation, I would be calling HUskyfence in a flash.

The job went okay. Nothing really stood out in their service. I didn’t like the owner very much. I thought that he is a male chauvinist. I told him that I wanted the fence down and he did not listen very well, he then fixed some stuff. He was supposed to cut the tree top, he told me he did but I can tell that he didn't.

I called Husky Fence on 8/19/13 because their profile indicated they do farm fencing. I had some field fencing that needed to be repaired (i.e. all of the wooden posts needed to be replaced due to rot). The owner's wife, June, returned my call on 8/20/13 and we briefly discussed what I needed done. She explained that her husband was working on a big job right now and wouldn't be available to do the work for a while. I told her I wasn't in a hurry to get the work done so that would be fine. She said she'd talk with her husband that evening and call me back the next day to set up a time for him to come out and look at the job (most likely on a Saturday). It's now two weeks later and I've never heard anything back from her. While I understand that Husky Fence might not have been interested in the job, I expected June would have at least had the courtesy and professionalism to follow up and let me know. Disappointing to say the least.

customer satisfaction is our #1 goal for our business. we are a small family owned business that was very fortunate to have the opportunity to land the biggest job this company has ever had. I was able to keep all my employees working and provide for their families. this project was scheduled for four months, so I knew I would not be able to take on any more projects. about 99% of our calls were very understanding and we appreciate it.
