Henderson & Daughter

Overall an excellent experience. Our basement has six windows, each half below grade in a well. All were drafty and single-paned, and two had visibly rotten frames. We met twice with a sales rep (once for an estimate, the second time to take final measurements). He was courteous and professional, and did a fine job of explaining our options. We chose basic Milgard white vinyl windows, 4 rectangular sliders and 2 square non-opening. On the day of the installation the 3-man crew arrived on time, worked a full day (as estimated), and left the basement at least as clean as they found it. They found one more rotten frame along the way and fixed it. The windows look great, and all are tightly caulked, with larger gaps around the framing filled with spray foam. New wooden framing is left exposed but new wood stops right around the window (which would still be visible if the walls were drywalled) are painted to match the windows. I didn't shop around a lot, but they were the cheaper of the two places I called and the price seemed reasonable. I have no complaints at all; I would definitely use them again.

They were okay. We had to call them back a couple of times and in fact we are still working them to come back and do some more service for us. The door was tricky and they did not get it right the first time. They were fine, and it was okay. Perhaps we may use them again; we should get a bid from them again, having discussed with them the issues of the last one.

Working with Debby and her team was a great experience. She was very thorough, came to the house a number of times to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. The guys who came out to install the windows and doors were prompt and efficient, finished the job in half the estimated time, and came in exactly on budget. They did a great job and didn't leave a mess. I highly recommend Henderson and Daughter!

One adjuster was bad, one alignment hole did not line up. Returned and all problems addressed and fixed. Make sure you take off corner protectors and inspect at time of pick up.

Installation was excellent. Quality of the door seems excellent. Priced accordingly. Installers cleaned up really well and were top notch all the way.

We were extremely pleased with them. The price was reasonable and competitive. There is a minor inefficiency on the door which we have been able to work around. We do not like the quality of the lock because it is beginning to show wear on the handle already.

We highly recommend Henderson & Daughter. Twenty-one years ago, we installed vinyl double-paned windows to replace the original single-pane windows in our 1928 home. After several seal failures and learning that we could no longer get replacements for these, we decided it was time to replace all our operable windows. A friend recommended working with Debby of H & D. This was a perfect fit for us--Debby gave us detailed information, making our choice of features and design easy. The windows we selected were the same as those offered by another company who gave us a bid, but $1,000.00 less, with the H & D crew to take down and replace our interior blinds, and with H & D to complete the paperwork for a tax credit. Our new 13 single hung Milgard windows were installed in less than one day. A bonus was that there was virtually no clean up to do when the crew left. The windows work beautifully and we are entirely pleased with our choice of contractor and product.

Sales person (Thea) arrived promptly on schedule. She was very professional in explaining the product and helping us select from the options presented. The installation crew called to schedule well in advance and arrived on time and finished the job in two days as projected. The installation crew worked well together and we are very pleased with the finished product. Would certainly recommend Henderson and Daughter to others.

I thought that Henderson & Daughter is a very good company. We did have a problem, they ordered the wrong door but the owner came out and absolutely apologized , they ordered the right door and they put it in. They were very professional. Their crew is absolutely fantastic. I would hire them again if I needed new windows. The price is pretty comparable for the work that they do.

Josh and his crew called 10 minutes before their scheduled arrival time to say they were on the way. Once here they proceeded to install two glass/screen doors for us. They were professional, cleaned up after themselves, and did their work quietly. The doors exceed our expectations. Henderson and Daughter has now installed 2 big picture windows and 2 smaller vinyl windows and now 2 screen doors. They are wonderful to work with and we recommend them highly.

We have nothing but great things to say, from start to end. Quoting: We met with three providers (all top rated from Angie's List). Initially we quoted for vinyl, all 21 windows in the house, and all three providers roughly came out the same quote after discounts. We then stopped by Henderson & Daughter's showroom, and learned the fiberglass options were not much more expensive (perhaps 20% overall?). Wendy worked with us through a host of options to realize our budget, and we made the order. Installation was projected to be two days. They arrived right on time, prepped the house with all the needed covers and such (we have lath and plaster and lead throughout), and basically got to work straight away in pulling exterior storm windows, pulling interior framing, installing, etc. With four people (not sure if that is normal), they completed the whole house by 4 pm! All windows look great (we are going to stain them so they are bare currently), and not a single scratch to the interior walls. The exterior will need some touch up, as the storm windows had been painted so we need to match our trim. The difference from an old single-pane window to these double pane fiberglass is night and day. Noise is reduced, and we have high hopes for the cost benefits of heating and cooling. Milgard rebate of $25 a window will be about $450, and Energy Trust rebate will be about $450 or so; $900 back to us!

So far, my experience with their service has been excellent. They're precise, professional, and not pushy. They bring samples and they go over everything from top to bottom. They explain everything that might be a possible or something that might occur during the project.

The workers arrived at appointed time, where friendly, professional and did a great job of removing old window and then installing the new window. They cleaned up when done. the new window is a 150% improvement.

One door had a manufacturing defect - not Henderson & Daughter's fault, but obviously a big issue once stain was applied and it became obvious. Having had a bad garage door installation by a big box store previously, we intentionally didn't go that route on this purchase, and I can't overstate how great that decision was. They handled the replacement PERFECTLY - outstanding, personal service from our sales rep, Ken, from the installers, to the owner of the company. We will definitely use them when we replace other doors on our property, and highly recommend you do, too. Places like this are the reason to choose local.

Trudy was excellent. She was very friendly on the phone, and offered to come out that day to look at my window issue. I thought I would be needing to replace an expensive window, but instead she contacted a window repair company for me (Glass Crafters), who came out the next morning and fixed the problem for under $100. I was so impressed with her willingness to help me, even though she wouldn't be getting the more expensive sale. I will definitely go to Henderson and Daughter for any future window or door needs!

We were told that they do not carry any product (in this case windows) that are rated for withstanding the wind on the 18th floor-Where are condo happens to be. We found this very odd-but hey, if they can't do it they can't do it. Just a heads up for anyone who happens to be in a high rise condo... They don't want you money. ;) We have 3 other bids out and not one has said that they have any problems with where are condo is.

They showed up on time. The bid is exactly as written. The communication was really clear. There's a wide variety of how people clean up after themselves and make their way through my house. They did a really great job with that. They were done quickly. The windows looked great. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They were professional. Everything was done on time.

From my initial call to their follow up call after the job was complete, I was very satisfied with my experience with Henderson and Daughter. Paul, our estimator/design consultant was very professional and pleasant. Keith was also very accommodating in scheduling and the three installers did a fabulous job. The window looks so good and we are very happy. Will not hesitate to use them again.

I worked with Tina and she was great. We designed the house from scratch and Tina helped me figure out sizes of windows and how to make everything work together. My Great Room has a Wall of windows that is just gorgeous, thanks to Tina's help. Delivery was when expected. We had a few small problems which were address promptly and with no arguments.

Henderson and Daughter installed all new windows in our home a few years ago. They were professional and the price was excellent. The company y stands by their warranty service. All I have had to do was call them and they have performed any needed service promptly and efficiently. This company has been around along time and the reason why is that Debbie and Jerry (Owners) are so personable and knowledgeable. My calls have been returned promptly. The staff in the office always knows just the right information I need. Last December I noticed a rip in my screen door. I called them right away to schedule a fix. They were here the next day took the screen annd fixed it. It is like new. I am thankful that I have a local company who provides knowledgeable and great service on an expensive and long lasting item in my home. Thank you Henderson Daughter for being there when needed.

Called Henderson and Daughter to come by for a quote. A couple days later,Trudy came to our house and helped us with all the window options we were looking for, without any high pressure at all. She laid out the window installation timeline from measuring, ordering and installation dates. A great sales Rep for sure. Everything went smooth as silk.The three man install crew lead by Shane, arrived on time, explained their process and began the job. They were very professional and obviously knew their trade well This was a two day process and always cleaned up their work areas upon leaving and left no traces of trash. A week or so later, they even filled out my Oregon rebate paperwork for us. To be honest, I am very glad I had Henderson and Daughter as my contractor. A quality job at a fair price.

They were a little late to arrive, but once they got here, they did a great job. They were fast and clean, and they took our old door with them which was convenient.

Debby was great. She came to our home and made recommendations, explained choices, showed us pictures, etc. We also went to the showroom so she could show us the actual doors/windows, hardware, retractable screens, etc. The outside is vinyl and inside is wood. The installation crew came when they said they would and cleaned up at the end of the two-day job. When the family room was added on to the house in 1983 and the windows sat higher than the french doors. With the new ones, the crew had to make some structural adjustments to make it look good. We are very pleased with the outcome.
