Henderson & Daughter

We chose H&D several years back to replace some of the original windows with failed seals, and had no hesitation going back to them after we decided to replace the rest of the original windows. As before, the whole process was handled in a very professional manner, the work was done well and on time, and they handled the energy incentive paperwork for us. The new replacement windows are perfect, and match well to the replacements we had done earlier.

Just right. Chris helped with getting the estimate in our hands. The Pella brand door accentuates our home in terms of style and color match. Joel, the installer, arrived on time. He completed the job without any issues and cleaned up the site nicely.

The day the window was replaced Jeff and Chad came out, set up their stuff and went to work. Everything was done to help keep the inside of my house clean. Jeff and Chad were friendly and very professional. They put the new window in, sealed and cleaned everything up. I was very impressed with the job they did. I have to paint my trim but I knew that going in so no big deal.

it was just a phone call, but they did not try to sell me more service than i needed, and i was favorably impressed by how they handled my inquiry.

The cost was a little high, but worth it considering the high quality product we received. The crew arrived little earlier than their scheduled time and got right to work. By early afternoon, we had four new windows and a beautiful new door. The crew cleaned up after themselves, both inside and out. We are very please with the results.

Sales people very professional, as was the installation crew. They patiently walked me through my choices and the entire process before I signed a contract. Installation crew was outstanding. I recommend this company and would use them again.

I can't say enough good things about Henderson and Daughter. As a single female home owner, dealing with contractors isn't easy some times. I asked for a quote? The sales person was kind respectful and listened to me. Chris was really awesome. And while it did take a while to schedule ( summer is a busy time for this type of service), the install guys were wonderful. They too were respectful and nice! Choose this contractor for awesome Windows!

I arrived and was greeted before I even got to the door. The woman helped me get a replacement part and even showed me how to replace it on a model window. I was in and out within 10 minutes which was greatly appreciated and even with my small purchase I felt valued.

I don't write a lot of reviews and it has taken me awhile to get to this one, but I feel compelled to share how wonderful this company is. We received our first bid from Debbie at H&D almost three years ago. She was incredibly thorough and very patient with our many questions. It was very apparent to us that they were the right company for us, but we just weren't ready to take on the project. There was no pressure from them and we just let the job fade away. Fast forward almost two years later; I called Debbie to resurrect the bid. She was incredibly kind and had all of the notes from our many conversations. The bid actually went down during that time and we were extremely excited for the new project. Long story short, the work they did was as close to perfect as it gets. The installers were super-clean and I literally cannot find a flaw in the work...and I look very closely. I don't want to lay it on too thick, but we really felt taken care of by their team. They are cool people and do phenomenal work. I could not recommend a company more than I do Henderson and Daughter.

Henderson and Daughters did a great job on our new windows. Chris Scully met with us to go over our options for new windows (materials and styles) and provided great advice on what kind of windows worked best for our house and budget, and which ones would get us the best energy efficiency and energy rebate. Once the windows were ordered, Henderson and Daughters set a install date and stuck with it. When the install date arrived, a crew of 3 guys arrived and got all 14 windows installed and finished in one day. They were terrific - all of the windows were installed well and they cleaned up everything as they went along. They vacuumed the floors and windowsills around every window they installed. I would highly recommend henderson and daughters to anyone!

It all went great! Paul (the sales person) was easy to work with and answered all my questions. They explained the process well and set appropriate expectations about the work involved and scheduling. They called to do the work sooner than expected, which was a pleasant surprise! The installer Shane was punctual and did good work on a large installation, leaving the overall area clean. I am very pleased with the results and work hire them again if needed.

From bid to cleanup, the work was professional, efficient and timely. We would highly recommend this company. The bid was higher than a competitor, but that company had no record with Angieslist, BBB or other reviewers except for YP reviews which were extremely suspect.

They were promt and ready when they arrived. No problems at all. Shane was so good at this I was in awe of his skills. No complaints about any of the work, they answered and explained all our questions. They did a complete clean up after removal and replacement of our old aluminium sliding glass door. Once again can not express how impressed we were with the work done. All our future door and window needs will only be done by this very fine company.

We were very pleased from the start setting up the appointment, through the sales meetings and negotiations, and final install. Very professional company on all levels.

I was very pleased with my experience with Henderson & Daughter. My initial inquiry was responded to very quickly and a bid was very easily arranged. There was quite a long wait for the actual window to be installed since it had to be specially ordered, but this was out of H&D's hands. The installers were friendly and professional and did a fantastic job. We'd definitely use them again.

Thea was very knowledgeable and made some very good suggestions when we were choosing windows. She thought of the direction of air flow in our main room.This is something that we never would have taken into consideration and it made a huge difference in keeping the home cool. Work was completed on time and our home looks wonderful!

I interviewed 3 different companies to install our windows and doors. Two were big name companies and one a private contractor. I let them each know that I am a bit on the picky side.(Understatement!) From the very beginning our sales guy Chris Scully was amazing. He was very professional and explained each type of window available (we went with Milgard). He also showed me a very detailed account of how the windows were installed which was a big concern of mine as I had heard several nightmare stories from others going through the window replacement process. Cost was always a concern and when a competitors bid came in lower than what Chris quoted, he was able to work with Henderson and Daughters and us to bring their quote down to our comfort level. The process was flawless from that point to completion. Chris kept us informed along the way of when our order would arrive and when installation would begin. I voiced to Chris how nervous I was about the installation process. I needn't have! Josh and his co-worker arrived on time and were very professional and worked hard the three days it took to install our windows and doors. They exceeded my expectations and I couldn't even tell they had been in my home, they left the work area inside and out spotless. Josh answered all my questions and reassured me when I had concerns. We have lived with our windows for about 6 weeks now and we love them. So quiet and no drafts anymore. I am so glad we went with Henderson and Daughter, they exceeded our expectations!

All of my dealings with this company were very prompt and professional. They are representative for Milgard Windows. We were shown three series of Milgard windows by their design consultant and advised not to go with the least expensive series.We chose the next one up and are mostly happy with it. The door operates smoothly in most respects, but we have occasional trouble locking the door. Locking it from the inside requires sliding the door closed and then pushing in on the handle. Most times it works perfectly, but sometimes it takes as many as three tries to engage the lock mechanism.

It was a great experience from beginning to end. We had narrowed down potential vendors to 6 using various resources including Angie's List. We interviewed all 6 vendors. Thea was more knowledgeable than any of the others. We narrowed our list down to 3 vendors and then went to each showroom. The Henderson & Daughter showroom visit convinced us they were the right choice. There were several demo areas so we could try the window and door mechanisms. We were shown a sample of the construction process that would be used to remove and install our windows. The other showrooms did not have the windows or doors set up so that you could even see the product very well let alone try out the mechanisms. Henderson & Daughter was also the only company who said they would take down all the blinds and reinstall after the windows were completed. We had friends who had used Henderson & Daughter twice and were extremely pleased both times. Everyone we talked to at the company had worked there for many years. There was no pressure, our questions were answered quickly and completely to our satisfaction. It took 3 days for the construction and installation. The crew arrived on time all 3 days. They were all very personable and considerate of our home, our times, and our dogs. We had to keep the dogs confined to the house part of the time because the yard gates were open. As soon as the crew was done with the gates, they let us know the dogs could go back out again. Clean up was fantastic. They vacuumed up around the window sills, the floor below the windows, and cleaned the windows. The cleaned up the garage and driveway areas where they had been sawing up the trim pieces.

This was a lengthy process due to us having never previously purchased a front door and being newbies about design, materials, color, locksets etc. An improved website from both the door and hardware manufacturers could have helped us. Another would have been booklets showing door design options so we had something to look at after the sales person left our home. In the absence of those supports, the sales/design person worked patiently with us via phone, emails and two home visits. Some communication glitches re hardware and scheduling still occurred but Henderson & Daughter worked hard to resolve them. Installation occurred promptly when promised. There were evidently technical glitches related to removing and replacing the storm door and the exterior molding;/framing around the entry. As a result, the new fiberglass surround is visibly and permanently scarred. We would have preferred being told about this v discovering it later. In addition, some exterior molding was replaced and again, we would have appreciated being told v. discovering and wondering about the unpainted wood later. On the plus side, Henderson and Daughter was wonderful in addressing concerns about a lock-set and replacing it. Overall the new entry door is very attractive and a huge aesthetic and functional improvement to our home! We would not hesitate to recommend this company and would purchase from them again!

Bid process was smooth, windows were measured and ordered promptly. Windows arrived several weeks before they were promised. Windows were installed in the time frame promised and cleanup was good. Blinds were reinstalled correctly and job was completed to our satisfaction. We were surprised that we needed to paint the siding around each window. We did not expect as much calking as was used. The item that prevents us from giving an A rating overall was how the coordination between Henderson and our security system providers was handled. When we discussed the security system with the salesman he indicated there would be no problem, they would be glad to discuss it with the security provider and work with them. We arranged to have the security people here on day one of installation and the installer from Henderson that talked to them acted as if he did not care at all. He was rude and at one point just walked away from them. We discussed this issue with Henderson and they are aware of his behavior.

Very smooth. Trudy came and met with us to break down our options. Once we decided what we wanted the measurer came to get exactly what we ordered. The windows were made and delivered in a timely manner. The installation crew came and installed all windows (7 windows and 2 doors) in two days. Very nice and respectful . A pleasure to do business with them. I would defiantly recommend them.

Saw an ad in the paper for these folks and checked them in Angie's. Got a quote that was detailed and seemed reasonable. We were told it could be 8 weeks before they were ready to install but they came two weeks early. Installation was prompt and quick(so far - haven't had any heavy rain since). The windows and doors look great, they operate flawlessly. We would definitely use them again, they were the most professional and easy to work with contractor in our whole remodeling project. The old windows were removed and taken away, there was no construction mess or problems.

The lady who came to our home to look at it and answer our questions was very helpful. They were able to get the door replaced fairly quickly since our old one was broken and they did an excellent job. We love our new Milgard patio door.
