It was a very good company and I was very satisfied with their work. They made their bid; they stuck to their bid. I was treated very well. I'm in an older home and so we were trying to update it. It looks a lot better.

They did an excellent job. We didn't have to do a thing, but put the furniture back in place. They did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. It actually looked better after they left than when they came.

They did a great job. The doors look great and I am very pleased. They were very quick with the work and very accommodating despite the age of the house. I would recommend them to anyone.

They did a very good job. The work was done very well and it was done in a reasonable amount of time. Since they have installed the new windows we have not had any problems or complaints.

They are prompt, efficient, and professional. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Diligent calls to make appointments, times/dates that were commensurate with my work schedule and time line were made, and included a follow-up call. Marty arrived as scheduled with a helper. Their work space was kept clean, orderly and efficient. When they came to an area of dry rot under one large picture window, the problem was handled with removal of the damaged timber, the installation of a new window sill and with a minimum of disruption to the overall job with no extra charge. These guys even work with a commercial vacuum cleaner! One window had to be special-ordered and it will be installed in a couple of weeks. I am delighted to recommend this local family-owned business to anyone in need of quality workmanship and dependable service.

I worked with Debby. It was an absolutely exceptional experience. I had millgaurd woodclad windows installed and a sliding French door with a retractable screen. Everyone I worked with was extremely professional. They did everything to make my experience as easy and as positive as possible. They were very clean. I'm working on all the windows in my house gradually and I'm planning on using them again.

They were on time. They were personable. I would use them in the future. The quality of their work was good. Their responsiveness was great in returning my calls.

The work did start a little later than we would have liked. When we complained they moved us up sooner on the schedule. The estimate was very professional. They made detailed drawings of what the new windows would look like. When I didn't like the color of my storm door they changed it for me quite readily and did not charge me extra.

In Nov 2007, we had water leak from the octagon window down through the drywall in the foyer. Had absolutely no luck with Hanson Construction (estimate extremely high); Comstock Windows in Portland and Kroon's Windows in Vancouver both failed to return numerous calls to come out to give estimate. Found Henderson and Daughter through Angie's List. From the the time we called for an estimate to the time we had window installed was a matter of two weeks. Comstock and Kroon's both initially said that it would be 4-6 wks. once a window was ordered. Ken, H&D's estimator, put a rush on the job knowing that we've had the window "shored" up with plastic for 6 months. He even gave us the estimate the same day he initially came out. The installation took less than 3 hours and we are pleased with our new window. We will recommend H&D to anyone. Very professional, prompt and efficient.

The 2-man crew showed up on time and worked steadily until they finished the job. They removed and replaced window blinds and hung a barrier to prevent debris from falling into the house as they removed the old windows and installed the new windows. They vacuumed up the majority of the dust and debris. They placed plastic on the carpet or put covers on their shoes when working inside the house to prevent tracking in dirt.

The only thing I didn't like was the long time between order and installation. This was a bit longer than expected. Even though installation was done in November (i.e. rainy weather), the job was very professional. The crew took great care to protect the inside of the house from the weather. They used new cloth floor covers, not plastic. Installation was done over 3 days with 23 windows. They used my garage to store equipment. No problems there. They totally cleaned up the job site when all was done. They did not collect any money up front and I paid the full amount when the job was done to my satisfaction. This is a top-notch operation. They responded promptly to phone calls and questions at all stages from sales through installation and post-install support.

Incredible service from start to finish. From prompt sales call by Ken and measurements confirmed by Keith to job scheduling and installation by Russ and his crew, Shane, Tim and Josh, it was an excellent experience. Their workmanship exhibited a commitment to quality and concern for the customer like few craftsmen I've ever seen.

It was smooth from the very first phone call. We worked with Sonia and she was great, very helpful, even came to the showroom on a Sunday to show us the models we were interested in. Very communicative and professional. Our door was installed to perfection and we are so happy with it. I would recommend Henderson and Daughter to anyone!

They were willing to come earlier than we scheduled to fit my schedule which was was nice. They do a great job at a good price, I would highly recommend them!

The installers were efficient, courteous, and skillful. They replaced 13 windows in a day and half, moved and replaced furniture and blinds and cleaned up. They also noted some variances from expectation in the windows, including the wrong color on the grids on most of the windows (manufacturer's error). I spoke to the service coordinator at their office and he contacted the manufacturer. Within a day or two I had an appointment for service by the manufacturer to correct the defects. The only other glitch was that the sales representative had indicated I wouldn't need to replace custom wood venetian blinds on windows I was converting from picture window to divided lites with new framing, but it turned out I did, which left me without blinds on front windows for several weeks plus unexpected expense for custom blinds. They were apologetic but didn't offer to do anything about it (to be fair, I didn't ask).

Overall it came out as planned. New windows work and look great. One had a manufacturer's error and they are replacing it under warranty.

I worked with Wendy MacVicar on what to buy. Found her easy to work with and good at explaining the technicalities of options. Russ, the installer, went about his work without fuss or problems. I was told what I should expect after the installation. I will have will have to touch up or repaint where the strip of frame was removed and replaced during the installation. Much less work than I had thought. The company has followed up to help me work thought the rebates and credits I am due because of the work. I chose Milgard because it was an established company and I wanted a company that would be around for the next 20 years, as long as I could be in this house, in case I needed replacement or repair per their guarantee. In working with Wendy and Russ, I believe I made a good choice.

Russ led the crew that installed my windows - they were fantastic. They were friendly and did a great job of keeping me informed of what they were doing and how long they expected things to take. Russ was careful to match the existing molding in my house even though it was build in 1954 and some of the molding isn't made any longer. I'm very happy with my new windows and especially with the installation.

Ken Nyssen, the estimator was excellent. One of the two crew members sent to do the doors suffered an unfortunate accident and was unable to be there, so Kevin had to do the whole door job by himself. He did fine. The two guys who came to replace the window were younger and less experienced. Ultimately, the window was installed without problems, but they weren't as careful as I would have liked.

Couldn't have been better. The salesperson was so knowledgeable and personable and that the second company I got a quote from didn't stand a chance, even though they were a little bit cheaper. The job was scheduled sooner than expected and the installation crew was prompt, professional, personable and attended to many details (like trimming the bottom of my existing screen/storm door to fit the new frame and installing my existing lock sets) not included in the job.

The installation was scheduled as promised. The windows are great and we feel really well served by this company. They worked closely with us. The salesman Ken Nyeson went out of his way to make sure we had the plan we wanted. Marti whose crew installed our windows, was on time and all was completed as promised. Our house was left clean and there was no evidence of the installation process other than new windows. We had some minor window adjustments and screen size changes that were needed. Scott came to our house on two occasions to take care of the remaining issues. We couldn't be happier with the product, the service, and the expertise of this company.

This is a follow up to our report dated June 10, 2007. Both Debbie, sales manager, and Scott, general manager, came to our house to talk to us about our concerns. They agreed that we should have been told that the door could be delivered in advance, so we could have stained and finished it before installation. They offered to have a professional painter come to the house, at the company's expense, to stain and finish the door. That work has just been completed, and the painter did an excellent job. In addition, Scott brought us a new door handle with an exterior lock, to replace the lock-less one that had been installed. We were very impressed with how positively the company responded to our concerns. They couldn't have been nicer to deal with, and their solution (to pay an outside contractor to do the stain and finish work) was more than fair. We are very pleased with the end result of this project.

After an early miscommunication about the bay window, Henderson & Daughter got our project on track. We were very happy with the crew -- they were helpful in explaining what was happening. They were friendly and efficient, completing the job 1/2 day before the schedule. They cleaned up the site nicely, and took care around outside plants and gardens.
