The team at Henderson & Daughter are absolute professionals! From the sales team to the team of installers, everyone we worked with to replace our windows was knowledgeable and courteous. The job was completed very quickly and the installers did an excellent job putting the windows in and finishing out the frames, which was a little tricky due to our vinyl siding. The installers left the house and yard impeccably clean and we would definitely call them again. We've already recommended Henderson & Daughter to several of our neighbors!

The salesman offered great advice with regards to what types of windows to install, where and what size since we had some reframing to do anyway with existing custom windows to be replaced. After receiving the price, we went to their show room to finalize the options and proposal. There was a small hiccup after this when he came back saying that he forgot the cost of about $3,000 worth of material in the original proposal. Knowing that we were getting competitive pricing from other contractors and had chosen Henderson based on the original bid and consultation, this could have left a sore taste in our mouth. But he gave us an additional discount from that point of about $1,000. They are also partnered with a 6-month same as cash loan program, which facilitated the deal. We signed the contract. It took about 6 weeks to schedule the work, which seemed a long time. Once they did the installation, it was smooth. Seven windows, with two of them being complete reframing of the front of the house, in one day. The crew of three guys were helpful and friendly the entire time. Since the walls were coming down, I wanted to run some new electrical outlets and wiring. They were patient and worked around me as I completed this work. They were clean, using drop clothes and mats in the house and yard. As they cut through dry wall, they used a vacuum along the blade to prevent dust from getting into the house. I had made a request to use R-15 high density insulation instead of R-13 in the new 2 x 4 reframing portion about two weeks prior, and they accommodated this request. About two weeks after the work was completed, I received the final paper work for the project. They included partially completed Energy Trust of Oregon incentive forms that I basically just needed to sign and submit. They also broke out the cost of materials and labor for federal tax rebate benefits in this final paper work packet. Henderson was more expensive than the three other window contractors we interviewed, but we are totally satisfied with the work and decision to use them.

Salesperson was pleasant, low-key, helpful. No pressure to sign right away,. Great product, good financing. Really careful, clean, friendly and efficient installers. Big enough to be stable and efficient, small enough to be personal and trustworthy.

We checked them out after hearing their advertisement on the radio. We were pleased with them as well as their rating on Angie’s List so we hired them for the work. They completed the work in two days and they cleaned up very well after the job was complete. They were fantastic!

My house was built in 1971 and had the original single pane, aluminum frame windows when I moved in. As I shopped around for a reputable, quality company to do the work, Henderson and Daughter quickly became the clear choice. Paul came out to the house, walked me through the options, and was able to give me a precise estimate on the spot. He was experienced, professional, personable, and made everything easy to understand. He was much more impressive than any of the other salespeople from the two other companies I had come out for estimates. It took a couple of weeks to make up my mind, and although Paul checked in with me occasionally, I never felt pressured. He provided prompt estimate updates as I changed my mind on window stylings. On the day of installation, Paul dropped by the house to check in with the install crew and make sure I didn't have any questions. On top of the positive experience with Paul, the installation process he described matched the proper, quality installation process that I had researched beforehand. Unlike the other companies I looked into, H&D didn't cut corners, and installs replacement windows as they would on a newly constructed home. On the installation day, the crew was punctual, professional, and paid close attention to detail. They showed me every step of their process as they worked and were happy to take time to explain why they were doing what they were doing. They installed the windows exactly like they said they would, and left the windows looking great. I would highly recommend working with H&D. They were a bit more expensive than the other companies were, but the quality of their work and professional, customer service-oriented approach made working with them worth it.

The entire experience was top notch. The initial sales call by Ken was was very detailed and professional. The quote and scheduling process was explained in detail and went according to plan. The door was replaced in an afternoon by two very experienced and quality minded installers. They cleaned up the area completely and made sure we were pleased with the result.

We got all new windows and outside doors. It was a lengthy process and Wendy was very helpful and patient with all of our questions. When the front door came primed when we didn't expect it to be, they were very helpful in making the change and getting us the door we wanted. The windows are lovely, we are very happy with everything.

Thea was great! What a positive person to work with, even though we were not able to use them at this time.

I contacted Henderson & Daughter to request a bid to have several windows replaced with Milgard vinyl windows. Ken contacted me and within a couple of days was at the house reviewing the needs and offering some solid options. He discussed in detail the replacement process and submitted his bid based on our decisions. The timeline was projected - order was to be placed and once the windows were received at Henderson & Daughter, I would be contacted to set an installation date. That all happened as predicted. On installation day the crew arrived on time with the equipment needed and the process began. While it was a long day (11 windows being replaced) it went smoothly - no glitches or delays. The crew worked to complete the job, leaving the site clean and picked up. The job foreman made every effort to see that the work was completed to our satisfaction. You could tell the crew enjoyed their work - no harsh conversations - just friendly chatter and attention to detail. I would easily recommend Henderson & Daughter to anyone who is having windows replaced. Their pricing is fair - perhaps not the cheapest - but neither is their work ?cheap? - all good quality materials and procedure were used - the windows look perfect.

Long installation time however,,, Andrew and Josh did it perfectly. I was so impressed with their work and they cleaned up everything perfectly. Not their fault that the door was originally toooooo large!

They've already got lots of good reviews. They were great to work with. The original woman Trudy who came to the house and spent hours with me several times going and making sure that I got what I want, because I was pretty particular about them. I wanted a certain design and everything. So, she spent a lot of time with me. The people that did all the work were really great. They picked up and cleaned up absolutely well. The installation was really professional specially the guy Marty. He was kind of the head guy. He did all the installation of the hardware, the locks and stuff on the door. He did all the trim, specially the interior trim looks really great. It was pretty expensive, but I was willing to pay that because they were so professional. I try to get smaller companies to help more local people and avoid all the overheads. I saw all the positive reviews on Angie's List for them and they are a local company, that was a plus. I will use them in the future because I am going to have my windows done, probably in November.

Very pleased with her suggestions and the fact that she was free with her experience. When I do have a window/door to replace, I'm calling Henderson and Daughter!

The person that we dealt with, the sales representative - Thea - she is a treasure. Both times that we had them out, she explained everything in detail, she is very friendly and personable, she is full of information, very thorough and easy to read, and always makes sure everything is understood.

From the beginning of the estimate process with Ken, down to the installation with Shane and Adam, the whole process was smooth and very well communicated. Ken walked me through all my options and did not try to oversell anything to me. He talked me through the order process down to the basics of the door installation. Either Ken or someone else at the office kept me informed of where my order was once I placed it and gave me plenty of advance notice to schedule the installation. The day of the installation went just as well. Shane called me in route to my house to let me know when they would be here. There were professional and explained the process to me. They got to work immediately. The door went in beautifully and they were quick to clean up as well. I am very happy with the end product and results and would definitely recommend Henderson and Daughter to anyone for their door needs! I would use them again.

Searched Angie's List for local vendor. Called for an estimate. Estimator visited the house on Jan 16 and we agreed on the scope and price of the work. A carpenter subsequently visited to verify the installation requirements. The door was custom ordered and when it arrived, arrangements were made for the installation. The two man installation crew arrived as scheduled and installed the new door complete with caulking and cleanup. In and out in less than 4 hours. Very nice work. Painting left to me as agreed. The cost was a lot, but the value was there, so I would use them again.

It went well. There were some glitches with the order of the front door which was a $3,000 project by itself. I ordered a door with a shelf on the door and it arrived without it. They delivered it late and it was Friday afternoon when we found that it wasn't right so we had to wait the weekend because the office wasn’t open on the weekend.

We needed to replace 3 small basement windows in our new home. From the get-go, Henderson & Daughter was pleasant to deal with. I called the office, and the person that scheduled estimates was at lunch. She called me back within the hour and scheduled Thea to arrive in just a few days. Thea was prompt, warm, personable, and did a wonderful job explaining their windows and services. She spent a lot of time with us and answered all our questions. By the end of her visit, we were praying her bid would be as competitive as the other estimates we had received to that point. (We liked her so much, we were ready to go ahead with the work if she came in close to the other bids. ) She sat down and calculated the costs on the spot and gave us a written estimate. It was $600 lower than the another bid we had received. After reading the other glowing reviews on Angie's List and meeting Thea, this was a no-brainer. Henderson & Daughter didn't require a down payment for ordering the windows. In fact, we didn't have to pay a penny until after the installation was complete. They have very old school values in that they do business on trust and a handshake. How refreshing! The installation happened on 2/1. I received a call the day before just as a reminder and was given a time that the installers would arrive. They were very prompt, cordial and incredibly conscientious. For example, each and every time someone went in or out of the house, they would put little plastic booties over their shoes so not to track dirt in and out. (Not that we minded or cared.) They left absolutely no mess, and the area they installed the windows were probably cleaner than when they arrived. The 3 windows were installed in no time (done by noon), and look great! We will be slowly replacing other windows in our house, and we will definitely be calling them again!

I was amazed at how helpful this company was in getting a solution to my issue. I recently purchased a home and needed the windows repaired. They were not able to do the work I needed but gave me the perfect company to help me! Amazing! When it's time to upgrade and replace the aluminum windows I have, I'm choosing Henderson & Daughter!

This is the second time Henderson & Daughter has done work for me and, once again, I was thoroughly pleased with the experience, from start to finish. Last time I needed to have large picture windows replaced and that went very well. This time I wanted to have a security screen door installed, so I called them to see if they could help me. Thea came to my home, we discussed it, she showed me a catalog and I ordered the design I wanted. Everything went smoothly and I am SO pleased with my beautiful screen door and the pleasure of working with Henderson & Daughter. I recommend them very highly!

We built a 450 square foot addition onto our 2200 square foot home and replaced many of the existing windows and one door. We chose H & D based on Angie's List reviews, years in business, and local reputation. We were more concerned about quality and warranty don't have a problem paying more for the best. We weren't disappointed. The designer, Wendy, arrived right on time and was great. We didn't have any ideas regarding the type or style of windows we wanted and relied on her expertise. Six windows are very large and frame a spectacular view of Mt. St. Helen's, and because of the views from every room, most of them don't have window coverings so style and framing was important. We live a long distance from town and thought we would need to drive to the H & D showroom to review the estimate and sign the contract. Instead, she offered to deliver it and made a second trip a few days later. We were prepared to make a sizable deposit and were surprised when she told us we wouldn't pay a cent until the windows were installed and we were happy. She even filled out complicated paperwork necessary to apply for a $500 rebate from our utility company. Wendy's attention to detail and vision got us exactly what we wanted, we paid less than we thought, and we are impressed with Milgard quality and efficiency. Because of the new addition, the installation had to be in two stages, with the interior framing and trim done last. We were on vacation while the windows were being installed and we were having new hardwood floors and carpet installed at the same time, which required the installers to work around each other. The floor contractor made a comment about how great the window guys were to work with how impressed he was with their efficiency. We met two of them when they returned to finish and they were indeed great guys. The inspector with the utility company met with us to go over the work, test the weather efficiency of the install, and approve the $500 rebate. His first question was who did the work. When I told him it was Henderson and Daughter, he said that makes his job easy as they are the best in the business and we concur.

Ken gave us our estimate and was very professional. We were highly impressed by his knowledge, suggestions, and overall demeanor. The price was higher than most for the same windows, which is why we did not go with them in the end. Would definitely consider them in the future, though.

We had a window broken in our house which is over 100 years old. They offered to totally rebuild the window and sash for us but it was going to be very expensive. They said that they did not actually do just window replacement for the type of window we had but referred us to a great company that would do that work. It was really nice that they referred us to a competitor to help us get a quick fix on our window that was economical for us.
