Been on their service 2 years--- they had me run around and do three things-- none of which got us back so that we could arm the system. Waste of time and money. They came out and did the same stuff -- same result. This went on for two months and I kept requesting that they suspend billing during this time where we couldn't arm the system-- because central monitoring can't happen then. Asked them at least 5 times over the two months and they kept forgetting. Finally had to block them from my card. They said they wouldn't' bill Dec then their -- literally CRUEL biz owner that has NO RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLE, kept telling me that wasn't done-- then it was-- what a mess. They had told us about mid Nov that I must buy new upgrades and quoted that out--- then system--- hmmm an upsell. And frankly, their quote of service didn't make sense and I kept asking if they were sure that would fix it -- kept saying yes-- but I now believe that just to be a step in the upsell process as more would have to be done per their upgrade approach. This per a company who freed the keypad in less than 5 minutes and said they have a tendency to do this and it's highly unethical. My contract of 24 months is up at the end of this month and under the circumstances, they keep saying they can see what is going on and claim THEY did the fixing. ha ha aha -- The other company. really seems to know what they are doing, and is even willing to give me an affadavit to the fact this is false and other companies don't like to get involved in disputes with other competitors -- so that tells you something. So until they get me off=-- I can't even use my stand-alone security which puts us at some risk. They are IN THE WAY OF SAFETY here because of their lack of knowledge and clearly unehtical practices. BUYER BEWARE. They may be ok on systems they have installed but anything else, they will use a bate and switch. and the switch is ugly.

Salesman showed up, very nice and on time. Long story short; signed a setup contract for monitoring and equipment installation. Two days later, decided it didn't fit our needs and was overkill @ $40/month.Left a voicemail for the salesperson, explicitly cancelling the service and install and had my assistant call, as an added precaution, the next day to have a record of a cancellation conversation. If you are reading this, you already know the drill: a month later we receive a $925 bill for equipment (that was supposed to be included in the service contract) and a ~$1490 bill for a three year monthly service contract.Calling the operations manager, who was very friendly but steadfast, "This is why we have lawyers, to collect from people that don't read the contract." His contention is the contract stated I needed to mail in the signed cancellation and a verbal is insufficient. He may be correct, I am contacting the atty General of Oregon today to establish Oregon Consumer Protection Law. If I can prove a call was made to cancel my contract, Oregon law will supersede a usury clause in a contract. In any event, no product was ever installed and no service activated and they would rather threaten collections and ruin their reputation. Secondly, they are collecting for $925 of equipment that was included breaking the agreement they say I am responsible for. *Interesting point: I asked, being a security company, don't they keep records of telephone conversations? Eric said they did, but didn't have a record of my conversation! How convenient is that for a security company! Right or wrong, their style of business is deplorable and I can't dissuade Angie's Listers strongly enough from using them.

To their credit, the appearance of the audio zone hardware and A/V setups looks good, but have yet to be tested. Hans was our project manager and he has been smug in our communications. From the beginning of the project, we were very clear to him, our construction manager and our liason at Renaissance, that we wanted prewiring AND TRIM for the surround sound. Our intent was to shop the job around after closing. This was not done. This is despite the fact that Global was at the house, with a toner, installing speakers for our audio zones. Instead, he wanted to charge us $85 dollars, for a seperate visit. Even though they installed the wiring, he couldn't gurantee the location of the wires and would not be held responsible for any errors installation. We were also very clear, from the beginning, that we wanted a blueprint of this prewiring for the same reasons. We had to nearly beg for this and when we got it it was an unprofessional hand sketch that was baregly legible. We have strongly recommended to our construction manager at Renaissance that they discontinue their relationship with this company. Further, we will not be using them for any further work. Last, we would not recommend them to anyone who expects respectful service and professionalism at a decent price.
Description of Work: Global was contracted through our builder, Renaissance Homes, to install our security system, wire for A/V in multiple rooms, prewire for surround sound and set up multiple audiozones. Showed up on time and did the work that I asked for. Technician took me through the system and explained the services that I just bought very easily to me. Even showed me how to arm my system through my smartphone! Very cool and it saves me a ton of worry every day!

This fire sprinkler system was not installed to code and the contractor did nothing to remedy this. In more than two years only one monitor logging report was provided. The HOA repeatedly paid for service calls that failed to remedy the system's problems. The battery-operated wireless pull stations were not properly installed and failed every time temperatures dropped to freezing. The contractor acquired but failed to install the appropriate pull stations.
Description of Work: This firm provided maintenance and monitoring services on a code-required fire sprinkler system for 15 condominium units. For the past three years they continued to fail to perform on two essential services: (1) keep the system operating properly; and (2) provide logging information on the system performance. Finally, when our Home Owner's Association terminated their contract the system failed completely as they entered the program clearing code. They could not remedy the problem they created and they departed. As a result the HOA had to purchase a new system.

Global Security provided monitoring of a sprinkler system and fire alarm that is required by the local AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). Global did not install or maintain the sprinkler system. During this period, the client was represented by the original contractor, a property management company, and a homeowner’s association. Global did provide reports to a representative of the property management company, upon request. The system was installed to manufacturer’s recommendations. We made a recommendation to what improvements could be made to improve the system’s performance that required an additional investment. Despite Global’s best efforts, multiple service calls at no- charge, our Client elected to go to a different provider.

These people are not professional. They did not send a representative to review our needs or the status of the existing system. They sent a technician who did not keep appointments on time and was unable to train us to use the system. When we fired them they continued to bill us. On the advice of our lawyer we paid the bill just to get rid of them. When checking on them, they have changed their name from Global Security to Global Technology Solutions which is a world wide website and computer tech company name. There is something very fishy about this company. Their invoice says they have offices in Tacoma, WA., Lenexa, Kansas and Eugene, OR. They have no website or email address listed and have changed phone numbers.
Description of Work: Provided a 2 year contract for service and monitoring of 12 year old ADT system. Saw only a technician several times. The system did not work as promised and malfunctioned several times.

The client had a false alarm on their old system. Global attempted to fulfill our agreement and offered to fix the system for the client. As far as reaching Global Security, we have maintained the same phone numbers since we started in 1988. If someone does a search for Global Technology Solutions, a DBA for Global, they could find many organizations with various sites with a similar name. We used the DBA as we were expanding our product offerings to better reflect the variety of products and services available from Global. At no time has Global attempted to deceive the public at large or our clients to who and where we are located. We were originally founded in 1988 as an Oregon Corporation. Our headquarters are in Vancouver WA, our hometown. We opened 3 additional offices in the early 90s serving the Puget Sound, Lane County and the greater Kansas City area. We have been on the SDM magazine’s top 100 alarm companies 6 times and our President is the acting President of the Oregon Burglar and Fire Alarm Association. When a client requests service, we are able to send our trained, licensed, experienced technicians to survey the existing system and make recommendations. WHEN WE MOVED IN, THEY CALLED AND OFFERED US A SYSTEM AT A GOOD PRICE 200.00. THEY SENT SOME ONE OUT TO TALK WITH US AND WERE VERY NICE AND GAVE US A LOT OF INFO. WE BOUGHT THE SYSTEM AND HAD THEM INSTALL THE ALARM, THEN WE PAY FOR THEM TO MONITOR THE HOME EACH MONTH.

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH GLOBAL. THEIR LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY HIGH. THEY WORK REAL HARD AT PUTTING YOUR MIND AT EASE ABOUT THE SECURITY SYSTEM.
Description of Work: ONE OF THE WINDOWS IN MY HOUSE WAS NOT SHOWING UNDER THE MONITORING SERVICE THAT WE RECEIVE FROM GLOBAL. WORKMAN CAME OUT AND REPAIRED.
