Diamond Drywall and Painting

Kirk from Diamond Drywall and Painting is a jerk. He does not know his ass from a hole in the ground. He doesn't know how to hang, paint, or repair dry wall. I don't know what his problem is. He comes off as a really nice guy and sounds like he knows what he's talking about, but doesn't. He wanted two-third down payment, and I told him no and will pay one-third and go from there; it was a good thing I only paid him a third. The deal was he was suppose to hang, paint, and texture dry wall in half of my house. Kirk hung and painted the dry wall and did a really shitty job. He then decided he was done. He emailed me with a message that said, "You're ready for your texture guy," and never came back. I returned his message telling him you need to call me right away and that was 2 months ago. It put me 3 weeks behind schedule to move into this house. I had to stop what I was doing, find another person to hang the drywall. I paid him half and according to other people who hang drywall, I got my money's worth out of him. He didn't hang it the conventional way either he put it up in little pieces. He is a weird person too. I should have known better. I did get references from 3 people and I called them and they were all people who knew him from high school or family friends. I think he is a little wacky in the head also. He still thought I owed him half. He's never called me back and if he takes me to small claims court I took a lot of pictures of his work. He wouldn't answer phone calls or answer emails. I never did have his email and actually found him through Craig's List and later saw that they were rated on Angie's List. I never did get his email address and he always emailed me through the Angie's List email address.
