Everyone at Design Doctors was a pleasure to work with. The work was top notch. They started and ended on schedule. They discussed things with me to make sure the end product would be wonderful. Their attention to detail was amazing. There are 21 drawers in my kitchen and they all line up perfectly. I had a friend over afterwards and she said it looked like something from a magazine. Cannot say enough good things about Justin and his crew.

Design Doctors Construction are great. They are wonderful. Just great. I would recommend them to anyone. Everything is wonderful. They keep all their promises, they are right on time, they do their best to accommodate you, they are very professional, and very knowledgeable. They are just the best I have had ever. They are wonderful guys to work with.

Got 3 estimates and all were pretty much in the same ballpark. But, as with my other remodel projects on this house, the feeling for the right person is as important if not more than the price. And my feeling was right on. Justin was punctual, understanding of what my plan was for this remodel and willing to offer advice and assistance in getting the materials needed. His crew was on time, courteous, and the cleanest room in the house was the one being remodeled! I had a few minor changes and they were handled to my complete satisfaction. Justin kept me apprised on the progress, and when there was an issue with some of the flooring that was ordered he dealt with the retailer to get it corrected. His input and eye for detail is exactly what a customer wants from their contractor. I love my new relaxing bedroom and appreciate every little detail that Justin and his crew did to make it special. I would highly recommend Design Doctors and would definitely use them again on my next project.

Design Doctors is a very professional and competent business with high standards for quality, efficiency and service. Jason and Rick, the owner and Job supervisor arrived for the estimate a few days after they were contacted and impressed us immediately with their knowledge and ideas. We had the job well figured out as to what we wanted done, and once Design Doctors were selected to do the work, constuction started within a couple weeks and met our time frame requirements. The job was done in about 5 weeks and there were 2 to 4 workers on it every work day. Having been a shop teacher myself and no stranger to the building/ craftsmanship/ woodworking areas, i can say that all aspects of the job went extremely well and done to the highest standards. All aspects of the job were handled by Design Doctors start to finish. They even carried a heavy leather couch around the house to the PODS container in the driveway and brought it back in after the job. They built a wall to contain all the dust and debris from entering the house so we had very little disruption to our lives or extra mess. Jason met us at Contract Furnishing Mart and helped us a lot in selecting our colors, tile, and accessories. Rick was a great job supervisor and organized the work so everything came together at the proper times. The room is beautiful and turned out even better that we had expected thanks to Design Doctors. We plan on having them remodel our bath and laundry in the future and highly recommend them. Rick kept us well informed of what was occurring each day during the job. Having owned this house for over 40 years, we have had our share of unscrupulous contractors leave us less than satisfied and a few times downright scammed. This experience has restored our confidence that it is still possible to get top quality work done, efficiently and responsibly for a fair price....and Angie's List played a big part in the selection of Design Doctors. Of the three companies we invited to quote on this project, Design Doctors was by far the most thorough and professional. Their price was slightly higher than one bid and substantially higher than our first bid. It was clear to us that the lowest bid was overlooking a number of details so we tossed that one aside pretty quickly. Although the 2nd bid was less expensive than Design Doctors, we believed Design Doctors was in the best position to get the job done right. We believe we made the correct decision. Rick was our project manager for the month long project and we found him to be not only professional and thorough, but very responsive to any concerns or questions that came up during the work. A couple of minor mishaps on the part of sub-contractors were quickly taken care of. Without exception the workers were pleasant, polite and hard-working. The only delay we experienced was a week long delay because we didn't pick out our carpet early enough and it needed a week to ship. Once the carpet arrived the workers did a great job of installation and even threw in a complimentary fix to some loose carpeting on our stairway. The final bill for the project was as quoted with the exception of two change orders we completed during the project. In each case we were treated fairly. We hope to use Design Doctors again for the next two phases of our remodeling (more popcorn ceiling removal, new flooring and two bathroom remodels). They were easy to deal with and we believe we received fair value along with fewer headaches than we might have otherwise experienced.

It was a great experience to work w/Justin. We liked his ideas for the remodel and he has a great sense of design. We spent several hours choosing tile, flooring, granite etc and his input was invaluable. From start to finish he kept us informed with good communication and accurate details of the work to be completed each day. His employees were punctual, polite, professional and very skilled. We had Marcus, Jeremy & Curtis performing most of the remodel. They were conscientious about their cleanup every evening and we felt they respected our home and furnishings. They did a great job answering my questions, discussing options and making the changes that I requested even when it meant they would need to perform additional work. When we had unexpected problems, Justin and his staff were always able to problem solve and move the project forward with great results. And the end result is a beautiful and sophisticated bathroom that we LOVE!

We had other bids that were much higher, Design Doctors was not the lowest bid either, but in the average range. I found Justin to be very helpful in designing the remodel. I liked his ideas and he liked the ideas we porposed. It seemed like a good fit. Once we selected Design Doctors everything went very smooth. They were always there when they said they would be. The work took a bit longer than expected but it was well worth the extra time. Design Doctors employees all take great pride in their work. One example was the base for the tile shower floor. Justin didn't like the way it turn out, it had some humps and wasn't even. Even thought the material had already set, they chipped it out and did it again. It wasn't an easy job. I'm glad they did though. The floor now looks great....the whole thing looks great, their tile work is very good.They did one bath in about 10-14 days and then 2-3 weeks later we had them do the other, larger bath. That bath took a bit longer because we ended up ordering a custom vanity and had to pause while waiting on it.The subs that did the plumbing and the electrical were equally as good.

We purchased a house that had been built in 1915. We had a contrator that attempted to help us with the project, but unfortunately he failed to get permits and follow the building code, so we had parted ways. We were stuck and did not know how to move the project forward. Design Doctors came in worked with the County, and figured out how to get the project on track. They did this before we even signed any contract. We got multiple quotes, but Design Doctor came in at lowest cost and instilled the highest level of confidence. Design Doctors did a fabulous job, they have high integrity and are honest. We highly recommend them.

Would definitely use them again. Very professional. As an example, I mentioned in an email to the owner of needing to delay the start date because of a major hassle I was having with a plumbing retailer. The next day he called and said he had taken care of the problem and I later received an apology from the retailer. The professionalism extended to the work done. The people doing the job were punctual, skilled and friendly. I am pleased with the experience and results. Highly recommended.

We asked three different contractors for bids. Design Doctors came in with the lowest estimate. The contractor, Justin Ross, also appeared to be the most enthusiastic and creative of the three. We had a great experience with almost every aspect of the project. The master bathroom is beautiful and we are especially impressed with the tile work in our shower. The project came in at budget (except for some upgrades that we requested) and would have been on time except for a mishap at the granite fabricator's shop.

We are so glad we found Design Doctors through Angie's List. They really came to the rescue to fix a number of items for us. Our fairly new home had several nagging problems and we had not found anyone to address them. It came to a head when we tried to replace the microwave and discovered that the existing microwave was poorly installed and the venting was not even connected to the outside at all. The granite back behind the stove was installed too high and was blocking proper installation of the new microwave. In addition, the under mount sink was coming loose and, when we first moved in, the builder had slapped some caulking over a leaky area, sealing in moisture and food debris that continued to mold. Yuk! The faucet had the "O" rings replaced a few times and continued to leak. The silicone caulking between the back splash and the top around the black granite counters was very wide and visible, and was starting to lift in several places. The counter also needed to have some water spots polished out. Justin arrived to view the job and was very professional. He even managed to squeeze us in with an early morning appointment. He listened carefully while I told him the "woes" of the house and I showed him all of our "issues" - he said that he could handle it all, in just one day. His bid was professional, complete and fairly priced. We scheduled the work to begin fairly quickly, as the microwave was already sitting on the floor ready to go in, the sink was loose and getting worse, and the faucet was beginning to leak again. The crew arrived on schedule and got to work straight away. They were professional, courteous and took great care with our wood floors. Justin managed all of this subs very well and the job went very smoothly from my perspective. I do know that they ran into... let's just say "interesting" construction details... that were left by the original builder. The bracket originally used to install the old microwave was allowing the fan to vent into the WALL - the vent was not even connected! The original faucet was so poorly installed that the crew was unable to remove it and they had to cut it off the counter! The poor granite guy found a whole other mess under the sink when they removed the loose sink. The original builder absolutely did not properly install or secure the sink - framing was just non-existent around 3 sides! The original microwave installation was just a joke! The granite behind the stove was too thick, so the original installers made braces with 2x4 lumber to push the old microwave out past the granite - leaving a huge air gap. No wonder the fan never seemed to work properly! Justin's crew was able to cut the granite behind the stove down to the proper height - in place! - with no damage to the surrounding walls - impressive! Not only did Design Doctors properly install the new microwave, they filled the wall gaps with foam and sealed up all the venting properly! I do know that the crew ran into many obstacles while completing the many tasks on this job. They uncovered some really shoddy workmanship by the original builder! Regardless, they got the work done in the time they promised, and they still came in at the bid price. I was prepared for some overcharges, considering the extra work they had to perform, but Justin had done a thorough inspection to start with and must have been prepared because the original quoted price, which I thought was very fair, is what I paid him. I must say that I was asked to give them a clean space to start with. I cleaned all the counters off and cleared under the sink. As clean as I left it for them, I could swear it was even cleaner when they were finished. I walked back into a completed project, the microwave was tested, the time was set, the counter were completely clear of ANY dust from cutting down the granite - you would NEVER have known that a work crew had been there. The area was beyond spotless!!! Not only that, but everyone was gone before the kids got home from school. DDC did a fantastic job and I'm very pleased that I found them through Angie's List!!!

These guys are great! We are first time home buyers/remodelers and they were very helpful/informative about what to do and what not to do. They helped us pick out materials, design the new layout and told us what NOT to do. We trusted them in our home alone because they are good people! My dog even liked them! They always return calls, answer phones and show up when they say they will show up. WOW! Thats unheard of with most contractors we've experienced. They were not all about the money and were willing to work with us on finding cheaper materials yet the kitchen looks incredible. We will be calling them again to do more remodel work. GOOD PEOPLE!

I consulted with two other contractors before deciding to go with Design Doctors whom I found on Angie's List. Justin brought an experienced craftsman, Rick, with him on the initial walk through of my project, and they were very knowledgeable and provided great suggestions and alternatives. I really appreciated that they wanted to help me accomplish my vision for the house. I had a very tight timeline and tight budget. I had purchased cabinets and kitchen countertops through separate providers and Justin worked well with everyone. The subcontractors he hires are all very nice, easy to work with, and dedicated to customer satisfaction. Justin selected high quality materials to work with, even when not specified in our contract. He went out of his way to make sure I felt I was getting a high quality of workmanship and materials. As an example, to repair one area of my hardwood floor, he had grooved planks custom fabricated and finished (in two kinds of wood) to perfectly fit because the size and style were no longer available. He could have done a lot less and still satisfied the letter of the contract. The work was completed in just under two months which seemed very fast for how many facets there were to the project. To save money, I left some finish work for myself, such as painting, mirrors and so forth, so I don't have any pictures to post, because I'm still working on that. Almost all work was done prior to our moving in. We are especially pleased with the tile work in the bathroom and Justin made the design process enjoyable. He also helped us to find some beautiful pieces of quality black granite at a great price for two bathroom counters. I will definitely consider hiring Design Doctors again and recommend them heartily.

I work with them often. In terms of price, I think they are quite reasonable. I really like the people themselves. They are very polite, they are punctual, they do what they say and they will explain what you do not understand. They come back and check it out. Their subcontractors on special occasions are pretty demanding. We just like them a lot. They are very nice to work with. They have been exceptionally nice with my grandson, who is six years old and is fascinated with what they do. They work with him, they allow him to watch and be a part without getting in the way. We just really like them a lot. I would use their services again in the future. I have got another couple of projects that are lined up. They have done several things. They have done a bedroom treated into an office. We have done my daughter’s patio and they have redone my yard. We have couple of other things as well that they have done.

Very well, Justin and his crew were extremely professional, and I couldn't be happier with the end result. No request was ever a problem, and some of Justin's suggestions saved on materials cost for a better end result than I could have imagined. Follow through to make sure the results met expectations was thorough, any calls were immediately returned, and the quality of work was stellar.

Yes, the service date I entered is a Sunday. This was the final completion date of my project and just one of the reasons I can't praise Design Doctors enough! I purchased a resale home in April of 2011. I immediately started to look for a full service contractor to do some remodeling. I joined Angie's List for this reason. After looking at endless listings and reviews, I finally contacted Design Doctors and arranged an appointment. I'm so glad I did. Justin arrived on time and eager to evaluate the project. He was knowledgeable, attentive and provided many suggestions and options to meet my goals for the final look of the house. After final decisions were made as to the scope of the project, the work began. Design Doctors uses a stable of sub-contractors which were all very friendly, professional and completed their piece of the project in a timely fashion. The project was completed, for the most part, on time and on budget. The exceptions were completely my doing in that I had ordered some light fixtures which were repeatedly delayed and I finally had to cancel them. I then decided to have a ceiling fan installed and that took a long time to arrive also; which brings us back to the 9/25 service date. That was finally the day we were able to schedule the fan install. It was Justin's suggestion to come on Sunday! I have never seen or heard of a contractor or service provider work or offer to work on Sunday; at least not without some serious cash changing hands! He arrived at the arranged time, with an assistant (who also perfectly/beautifully installed my new glass tile kitchen backsplash) and proceeded to devise adequate support for the fan (location did not have proper blocking) and complete the installation. I'm not saying you should EXPECT this level of service, but I think it speaks volumes as to the dedication of the entire Design Doctors team. Needless to say I would highly recommend them and I'm certainly calling them when it's time to do anything of this nature around my house!

Justin was very professional and honest. Even though he did not perform any work at my home, he went above and beyond expectations to help me contact the original floor installer to do some repair work. I will definitely call him again in the future.

My in-laws experienced an extensive flood due to a nocturnal water-valve failure. A plumber repaired the leak, and flood-mitigation specialists removed damaged flooring, drywall, and insulation. I requested a quote from Design Doctors. The owner--Justin--responded quickly, at the scheduled time. He delt sympathetically with my mother-in-law, and delivered a quote when he said he would. We decided to go with Design Doctors because the quote was fair, because of favorable Angie's List reviews, and because of Justin's professionalism and helpful, friendly manner. Once replacment flooring materials were selected, installation began within a few days and, with the exception of the carpet, was complete less than a week after they started. The carpet was delayed due to a shipping issue beyond the control of Design Doctors. Justin took care of many small unforseen problems encountered during the repair. The quality of the work was top-notch, and he kept my mother-in-law happy--not a small feat. Justin built his business from scratch after returning from Iraq. I recommend Design Doctors without reservation.

They were dependable and very reliable. They were good honest people and they would not do more than was necessary. They were very trustworthy. The insurance company had a higher bid than Design Doctors Construction thought was necessary to have replaced everything. They said to let the house air out for a few weeks and then they extensively checked the house for water damage and mold before they began their repairs.

This was the second time I used Design Doctors and it will not be the last, Justin's work is a PIECE OF ART and he is very METICULOUS! Justin has a great eye for design tailoring it to my unique taste of unconventional. Any miscommunication was corrected to my fullest satisfaction and even beyond... what more could you possibly ask for from any business? They truly rate number one in my book of customer service and that is not east to find these days. It was my experience that EVERYONE that worked at Design Doctors or were subcontactors were polite, respectful and professional at ALL times under ALL conditions. I gave them a key to my home and never once worried about them being there when I wasn't home, plus they always left it spotless. The subcontractors were also in my opinion the BEST in their field. It was my pleasure doing business with such great people that i now consider to be friends!

Great process. Doug is very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of confidence in the work. The final product is outstanding and well done. He even followed up with some pieces for the doors to prevent air intrusion. Work was done on time, and they even did the work so I didn't have to move out during the process. Highly recommend them for more work, both on my house in the future and for anyone looking for flooring installation.
