Although they seemed interested in doing the work, and promised to have an estimate returned to me by the end of the week, then never contacted me again. If they didn't want the job, the professional thing to have done would have been to contact me and let me know.

Justin patiently worked with us to create the magnificent kitchen we always wanted! He recommended several resources for high-quality cabinets, appliances, counter tops and tile. Justin eagerly shared much of his knowledge and experience with us, which helped us to make several design decisions. Justin and his team are friendly, great communicators, work when promised and even worked overtime for us in order to complete the job in time for Christmas. Everyone working for Design Doctors is highly-skilled and excellent at their craft. The kitchen has exceeded our expectations and we plan to hire Design Doctors again to remodel our bathrooms.

Great response for such a small job. Gave very good quote, was on time for installation, finished it on time and was pleasant to work with. Justin had to drill into tile and wall board to anchor the bars. The bars were of excellent quality--much better than the other contractors were quoting. No major problems and he treated this small job like it was a large job--did not hurry and made sure everything was done correctly. Couldn't ask for more.

They were very professional. I wanted a bathroom in cool colors. All the other remodelers offered ideas in brown tones. That was not what I wanted. I did a lot of research and kept running into contractors that could only let me choose from a limited selection in their sample case. By the time I found Design Doctors, I had found a blue grey tile I wanted to use for the shower surround. I couldn't find a countertop that I liked. I was trying to get away from the tile counter top that I was replacing, because I didn't like the grout on the counter top. Other contractors showed me corians and granites, but they all had a brown tone to them or were white. Justin sent me to Wall to Wall in Vancouver and they showed me a quartz countertop that had a blue tone to it. It looks wonderful in the finished bathroom. I was so impressed that Justin actually listened to what I wanted instead of trying to pressure me into getting something that was easily available. It took time to order the tiles and counter top I wanted. When It finally arrived the crew came over to demolish my old bathroom. I had taken the door off because it is such a small space to work in. They covered all the carpets they walked on and hung plastic where the door should have been so the dust from the demolition wouldn't get all over the house. Each night when they were done, they would clear up the area, take the tarps that were protecting the carpet and wipe everything down. They replaced the wall board, installed plumbing, put in a new countertop, sink and faucet. Jeramy cut the ceramic tiles in the driveway and did a beautiful job of putting them up. Jason would stop by every now and then to be sure everything was going satisfactorily. It wasn't until the shower and sink area were done that I found a floor I liked. We ordered it and even though they had never worked with this product before they did a wonderful job of installing it. I am very happy with the results in my bathroom. As I said before, the whole company was very professional. They listened to what I wanted and did everything they could to be sure I was happy with the result. I have waited to write this because whenever you get something new it seems wonderful at first, but the reality sinks in later. I am as happy with the bathroom now as I was then. Design Doctors did a great job for a reasonable price and I will call them again when the other bathroom or the kitchen needs work.

Our first contact with Design Doctors Construction was in January, 2012. Justin Ross submitted a bid to us to complete a theater room in our basement. We had contacted another contractor, whom we were prepared to go with until we met Justin. Both contractors listened to what we wanted and the other contractor said okay, and was willing to do the room just as we said we explained. After explaining what we wanted to Justin, he advised us against it because he said we were trying to do too much in the area, and while he would certainly do as we asked, he felt there was a better use of the room. After listening to him and his ideas, it was clear that we were going in the wrong direction. So, we signed the contract with Design Doctors. Needless to say, Justin was 100% right. His vision was exactly what we wanted and all along the way we relied on him and his expertise. Had we gone the other route, we would have been unhappy with the outcome. Justin also advised on the paint color, the tile flooring as well as a pattern to use, the carpet and the granite countertop we installed. We absolutely love the room and everyone who has seen it says the same thing. I know what I like and I have always preferred to choose my own colors, etc - until I met Justin. His work, his mannerisms, his ethics and his follow-up to every job is impeccable. Since January, 2012, we have called upon Design Doctors five additional times to do various work. Each time the experience has been the same, and we highly recommend them. At this point, I would not deal with any other contractor. We have used other contractors in the past and some have been good and some not so good. Design Doctors is excellent, and I cannot say enough good things about them. Absolutely nothing they have done has been less than perfect, and that is hard to find each and every time you need something done. In fact, he fixed an absolutely awful flub that a tile contractor had done for us just before we met Justin, when that contractor really didn't want to take care of it. This other contractor tiled our entire bathroom and shower. Fine until we noticed water running through the wall into the other room and down into the crawl space! That is when I started looking at the jobs the other contractor had done for us and I saw the difference between him and Design Doctors work product. Justin is fair in his pricing and deals with very good sub-contractors, all of whom have been extremely careful and accommodating. Justin isn't just a contractor. He has a vision of what things should be, how things should look and then has the follow through. I have 100% trust in Justin and Design Doctors, and any future work we have I will put my trust and faith to them. Justin really made all of the projects he worked on for us pretty much stress free. He takes on the stress and I hope he knows how much that is appreciated by us homeowners! They just completed residing part of our house. We had tile there, but it was no longer available. We had a product that we thought would work and the day they arrived to do what we thought would be a relatively small job of replacing those tiles proved not to be that easy. They were too thick and the wrong color. We hadn't even checked to make sure what WE got was right. We ordered the tiles and had them delivered to our house. Still can't believe we didn't even check them. Justin arrived and just said "no worries"! They then proceeded to remove all of the tiles, and then install hardi-plank. What was intended for a day or two on their schedule turned into many more days. I'm sure we royally (unintentionally) messed their schedule up, but not once did Justin make us feel that way, nor did his staff. For us, there is no need to get bids from other contractors, we just wouldn't even entertain them. Once you get the best, you want to stick with them - and we will!

They were absolutely superb. They were timely and just excellent. Rick Kain did the estimate and was in charge of the project and did a great job. He was detail oriented and works with great integrity. I was 100% satisfied. Rick went above and beyond.

Design Doctors Construction began this project for us May 17, 2013. We finished August 23, 2013. We wrote a review just as we were beginning and predicted that we would be raising a glass of champagne with a toast to Design Doctors for a job well done and indeed that has happened! With virtually every step of the process, Justin's product and procedural knowledge was key to assisting us in making the best decisions on design, colors, and materials. In every single instance, he was spot on. I can truthfully say, we did not make one bad decision on any of the material or color choices we made. Justin was also, throughout this project, mindful of the cost of materials and labor which helped us save hundreds of dollars. His attention to detail can not be compared to any other. His patience and cheerfulness deserves a medal! With any re-model of an older home, "surprises" always pop up. No matter what the issue was he would respond with "No worries, we'll figure it out". His crew was equally as cheerful, polite and respectful. But, Justin sets the tone for everyone. His assistance in dealing with subcontrators was essential to the eventual success of this remodel. What was most appreciated was this professionalism and his follow-through. Each call from us was responded to immediately, something that has been woefully missing in our past dealings with the "trades". If there was a "5 Star" rating for Design Doctors, we would give it 6! Job well done!

We got three bids and the bids were all about the same. Justin started the project on time and checked in from time to time. His crew was polite, friendly, and professional. They cleaned up and left a clean worksite. They kept us informed about the progress of the projects. They followed the plan and knew enough to asked questions when the plan wasn't clear. We were 100% satisfied with the projects and they were completed in a timely manner. We have no qualms about recommending Justin and Design Doctors.Construction.

He did an excellent job. Pretty much I remember reading they had a lot of positive feedback from before and I found it pretty much to be the same. Very efficient, the workers are pleasant and they are very clean. Try to tidy up. They ran into some problems but they were fixed. The took care of whatever was found they took care of it. The price came in not the least expensive but they did the job, and that was what I was relying on. I love my kitchen. It was a kitchen remodel and a small bathroom adjacent. It took about three months before it was actually finished.

Project went very well. Estimated project time was 5 weeks and was completed just a few days beyond the promised time. Rick was our project manager. After we signed the contract and paid our initial deposit, we had more changes and really appreciate Rick's flexibility. All subcontractors were very professional, courteous. All did their job well and left our place pretty cleaned up after each day. We especially like the team that did the tiling. We had hired a designer to help us with tile, granite selection including tile design. But the tiling contractor saw that our design would require too many cuts and suggested a better design. We were very happy with their suggestion and are very pleased with the final tile job. Rick has good design eyes, good attention to details and much experience remodeling other homes. Rick was extremely helpful in all decisions such as what to do about our medicine cabinets (good suggestion rick!!!), choice of paint color for our bathroom or location of all shower valves, slider bars etc.. Rick even noticed that some of our existing ceiling lights has been too discolored and volunterred to take them to his shop and get them painted to match the ceiling color. We bought new towel bar, towel rings and toilet paper holder and plan to install them ourselves. Rick saw them and volunteer to install them free of charge. Overall we find our master remodel project went very well and the cost was reasonable.

Bid was way higher than other bids that I had received.

We cannot say enough good things about Justin and his crew. Rick, Jeremy, Curtis, Marcus and Rich were just a few of the guys on Justin's team that we got to know. They were awesome.(No exaggeration). Justin and his crew were very helpful as we were working with a limited budget. They not only kept costs reasonable but went the extra mile working out some low cost alternatives and Justin wrangling some good deals. One example was a high end garbage disposal that had been salvaged from a past re-model. He installed it in our new sink. It looks and works like brand new. We got more than our moneys worth from these guys. The transformation that took place was night and day. We also appreciated their patience with us. At times we were indecisive and that caused a bit of a delay on our project. But these guys stuck with us. If it sounds too good to be true I must admit that we feel the same way. We were privileged to find them. They were prompt, professional, courteous, honest, trustworthy(They had a key to our house for 8 weeks). If it will make this easier to believe by adding a negative comment... I honestly cannot come up with one. Justin even brought us some Alaskan salmon fillets (that he had caught) at the final walk through.

I work from home, so I was able to have 7 bids done on my project. I grabbed 6 reviews from Angies and another from a friend. Design Doctors was by far (BY FAR) the best of the bunch. Justin was the only one who took into consideration what WE wanted as the home owners. There were several contractors (from Angies List) who didnt even look at our ideas, said they do what they do and we will like it because it will be so good. Design Doctors bid was not the lowest, nor the highest. When all was said and done- we only wanted to work with Justin. Once we accepted his bid, Justin took us shopping and helped in every aspect to make OUR vision appear. He improved our vision where it needed it and listened to us when we wanted to be heard. Our start date was moved up from the original estimate. His crew is exceptional. Jeremy, Carl, Marcus & Brian all go beyond the call of duty. Punctual, polite, nice to the dog and my 7 year old son. Everyday they laid out canvas to walk on and not track in mud. They put up a plastic wall to keep out the dust and noise (and the dog) every day. They cleaned up every night before they left. I can not say enough about how hard these guys work and what a great job they do. Marcus even worked on Memorial Day and the Sat of the same weekend to ensure the project stayed on time. Six weeks later, at the estimated finish date, they were done. We can not believe how beautiful our master bedroom is now. We seem to only be using the new bathroom. The tile work done in the shower is a work of art - no doubt, Marcus killed it in there. We couldnt be happier with fiished product and I have already given their business card to several friends. I absolutely will recommend them to my family, friends and strangers on the internet. I used them twice and I like them. I was extremely happy. I thought the planning of the job so that they understood exactly what I was trying to achieve was excellent and the execution of the job was also excellent. I had them out two years ago when we installed a gas fireplace and they did new brick work around it. There was a lot of time spent in planning the job and it was executed excellently.

They did come out to my home, but never sent me out a bid

Design Doctors estimated that it would take six weeks and they were done in six weeks. They listened to me on my concerns that I found and fixed them without problems. They would also ask for reconfirmation on where things should be placed. They were really easy to work with and did a great job. I would hire them again.

His profile specifically stated that he completed small projects and repairs but he told me he would not be able to complete by job because he would have to take all the cabinets into his office and stated the job was too small for his company. He was not very friendly or willing to work with me.

Workers arrived on time, performed in clean environment and left the room clean. All workers were pleasant and answered my questions. The mantel was supposed to be polished on both sides and got installed with only one side polished. Arrangements were made to fix it on the spot. The most pleasant remodeling experience I have had.

I was very impressed with them. They came to the house looked over what Iwanted to do and told me it as probably not economically feasible for us. VERY Honest and understanding. Iwas very impressed

Built a custom home; never thought about attic access until watching the subs come back to do basic follow-up after moving in 1/12. While everyone "made it in" I cringed watching some folks 6'4 and taller and/or 230 pounds and more hoist up : ) I happen to mention this to the owner of the HVAC company I used during the build and he recommended this company. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, courteous, and pleasant. After the initial estimate visit, the two guys who did the work, after the supervisor got them started and left, made sure to clean up well after. Its nice to find a company that actually is responsive and enthusiastic; many make you feel like they are doing you a favor.

They exceeded our expectations and it has been going exceptionally well since they finished the renovation. They were very professional and patient through the slection process of tile. They found a special piece of ganite to go with the vanity.

It was great. The price was very reasonable. All the men who worked on it including the subcontractors were professional, considerate and very meticulous. They were good about cleaning up after themselves, and were patient and helpful if I had a question or had to interrupt them. The contractor, Rick, was very helpful in all the small decisions that had to be made and keeping on top of what needed to be done for the next step. I consider them "my contractors" now and would definitely call them for any future work I need. Thanks to Rick, Kris, Jeremy, Curtis, Justin, Bill, Tracy and plumber (name I've forgotten) for a great job.

Design Doctors Construction (DDC) transformed our shop, a dark square box, into a space that is now both friendly and functional. It how has a new window and sliding glass door. There were electrical changes made, moldings added, a work bench created, and extensive painting. All of the work was completed in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. My husband and I are extremely pleased customers. We do recommend Design Doctors Construction. I felt that not only was the team professional and really good at what they were doing. I felt Rick, Justin and the all the others who were working on the job wanted to work with me as part of the team and together we created beautiful and useable space. When the remodel job was finished the work site was left clean. The new widows were cleaned, all of the scraps and debris were removed and the space swept clean. We got 3 bids on the job. While Design Doctors was not the lowest I felt confident they were going to be the best company and provide us with professional work. DDC was the only remodeling company that was considered after all the bids were in. DDC gave us the best remodeling experience we have ever had. Now light shines in the formally dark and unfriendly space, bringing us smiles. Would we use Design Doctors Construction again? YES we would Did we get our money's worth from Design Doctors Construction? YES we did! Are we happy Design Doctors Construction customers? YES we are!

I loved Design Doctors work and I wish I had called them first and let them handle my whole kitchen project. As it was, I found Design Doctors on Angie's List after another company installed granite counters in my kitchen. That company left my kitchen in shambles and Justin came to fix everything for me. The day after my counter was installed (by this other company) I realized that they had just set my drop-in oven on the counter and had not secured it at all. I called Design Doctors in tears because I had pulled my oven door open to remove cookies and the whole oven had sild out about 2 inches at me...remember the oven was about 350 degrees when this happened. Justin's wife sent him out that night to secure my oven for safety and assess my other kitchen projects. They repaired my window moldings which had been cut way too short and large gaps had been left between the counter and the molding. They secured my oven and they secured my dishwasher which had also been left unsecured and tipped out every time I opened the door. They installed a backsplash with tile and mosaic. They did some minor cabinetry repairs because the old counter had a lip on its edge and the new granite did not so there were large gaps left. Justin, Jarrod and Curtis were punctual, friendly and their work was excellent. Justin, the owner, even came back to make sure every detail was perfect (and he is definately a perfectionist because he saw things that I didn't and wanted them improved.) The guys were on time every day of the project, they were respectful, I felt safe leaving them in the house if I needed to leave and they were kind to me, my dog and my son, who often interrupted them to show them magic tricks! I would definately use them again. Thanks!
