Design Doctors Construction Team was always on time and kept us informed throughout the whole process. They were extremely conscientious and restored our ceilings so that no telltale signs remain of the damage. They also did a great job of mitigating the drywall dust generated. The best way to describe this company is to say that they under promised and over delivered. We will use this company again if the opportunity presents itself. As the cost of the repairs was born by another company, we cannot provide an approximate cost of service. But no matter what the cost, we cannot say enough about the professionalism of this company.

It was the best and cleanest service. The painter was fantastic. Had an electrician come in the install the new outlet. I am so pleased with the work and the person who did the work was very trustworthy. Whenever I have work done with the Design Doctors they are the best. I will only do business their company.

We really liked working with Design Doctors for a number of reasons. The design work was excellent. Although we had an idea of what we wanted, Justin's suggestions greatly improved the end result. He listened to what we said about our preferences and our explanation of what we wanted. He never made decisions for us but he helped us decide. All of the work was very well done. Every one of the Design Doctors workers was very good at what they do and considerate of the fact that the work caused quite an upheaval in our lives. They cleaned up every day and made sure the work area was particularly clean on Friday so there was less chaos for us on the weekends. They always put down drop cloths in the traffic areas and closed off areas when there was a lot of dust.. There were a number of subcontractors and Justin was careful to oversee their work and make sure it was satisfactory. If he wasn't satisfied, he made sure any problem was corrected. He even came back to fix a problem after we had paid. The bottom line is that all of the work was done really well and whenever we had a concern or question, our concerns were addressed and our questions were answered promptly.

Already at a disadvantage because over half the firms don't work in WA; I left VMs for about 10 concrete firms several of whom are on Angies List - letting them know I knew they were busy and it would be several weeks until the actual work was done. All most none picked up nor returned my call; a couple responded after I followed up through Angies List e-mail. I know its a very busy summer but the continued lack of professionalism in this one area (in the PDX Vancouver metro area) is astounding - as it was last summer when I tried to find a firm to come out and seal my stamp concrete. At the time I left a few reviews for those that were not responsive but as the low grade does not factor in to the average; had them removed by customer service (none responded to apologize before did so).

The whole team was great. Justin helped me make decisions and plan the project. All the workers were prompt, courteous. The quality of the work was excellent. I now have my dream bathroom and an attractive up to date kitchen. They also did some extra things like add a bookcase in the living area and improve some lighting.

This work was in our living room so at the end of each day everything was returned to normal for our use.

Anybody who uses them will get quality, the best service and the best people for the job.

They were great and very busy. It was good. Jeremy was the head of our crew on both projects and they were always on time, they were neat, they were open to ideas and they had great craftsmanship on everything they did. It’s expensive.

Having a bathroom project involving the deconstruction of part of the original bathroom, and then installing new equipment/fixtures I wanted the work done one time only in a professional manner. So I spent some time in evaluating various contractors from different sources including Angie?s List before making a decision, one of the factors in choosing Design Doctors Construction LLC (Vancouver WA) being the recommendations of their previous customers. Upon meeting Justin and some of his crew to look at what I wanted done I was pleased with what they suggested. This indicated to me (as a sometimes DIY homeowner) that they were very experienced and had a good grasp of how to complete the project with minimum disruption. They also, provided some valuable input that I had not previously considered. The project started on time, and as it progressed some minor changes/improvements were made with Design Doctors Construction LLC being very accommodating, as well as providing more input to get the best possible result. Needless to say we are very pleased with the end result, and plan to have them back later this year, as we make some more changes. Our long term goal being to make our home better fit our needs, as if we were having it built to our specifications and Design Doctors met that need. Lastly, I would also like to compliment Justin?s work crew who had the specialized expertise in some of the trades that sometimes seemed to be lacking with others.

It went very well. The owner, Justin Ross, was easy to work with and complied with all ofour requests (which were, of course, reasonable ones). We thought it was expensive, but in the final analysis, was worth it. In our final discussion with h im and h is primary foreman, Jeremy, we learned some additional information regarding our thoughts about adding to our existing house, purchasing a used one, or having a new one built. We also plan to use him to replace our stair railing, and he has offered to have a realtor he knows contact us about giving a value of our house prior to sale and replacement (we are meeting with her tomorrow, January 14. They did a very professional job, and we would recommend them to anyone.

He knew exactly what to do and safety was his number one priority. Basically he put a seat in the shower, which is very sturdy. Applied non-skid on the floor and a long hosed shower head. He made it safe.

I spoke with the owner on the phone to arrange for someone to evaluate the job and provide an estimate for an addition of a small deck, adding gates to our fence and a kitchen remodel. She said they were busy but seemed enthusiastic about the job. Two gentlemen showed up and took notes and measurements and had some good ideas about the projects. After a week, I had not received an estimate so I called and left a message but never heard back.

They provided a fair bid, executed the contract in a total professional manner. The attention to detail was outstanding! From the smallest cut to the custom transitions everything was above our expectations. We will certainly be using them again in the future.

Renovated our downstairs bathroom including removal of wallpaper, painting, laying porcelain tile on floor, ordering new counter top and supervising installation, removal of flooring material, mirror, sink, toilet, plumbing fixtures, and light fixture. Finish work, installing decorative tile backsplash on sink countertop, re-installing mirror and light fixture, toilet, calking, grouting and sealing of all the tile installations as well as installing new plumbing fixtures, towel racks and other hardware. This is the second time using Design Doctors Construction. They are professional in every aspect of work, including honesty when discussing scope and cost of work, as well as expected timeline. Justin was involved in design and help in selection of product, and overall management of the project from start to finish. All of their employees and sub-contractors (plumbers), etc. are hand selected to reflect the work ethic of Design Doctors. Everyone is courteous, friendly, communicates well and are good workers .They take pride in the quality of their work and will correct any problems that might be encountered. We highly recommend Design Doctors Construction.

Justin came at the appointed time to give us an estimate and was very thorough and professional. We told him what we wanted to have done and he discussed pros and cons of what we wanted and gave suggestions which we found so helpful. The porch pillars which we needed fixed are brick half way up and then the wood pillars (which were rotting) up to the eaves. We thought we would like the brick all the way up, but he explained that we would notice the difference in the brick because ours is older and the dye lots would be different and noticeable and we would not be happy with it. Either we would need to replace all the brick on both pillars and on the garage front or just redo the wood part of the pillars. He said he could do the brick and take our money, but he knew we would not be happy with the results and he would rather us be happy with him and his work. We appreciated his honesty. He also told us that we didn't need to paint the entire house after the work was finished because the paint on the rest of the house was in good condition and his painter could match it. Again, we appreciated his honesty. Painting an entire house is costly and we were happy we didn't have to do it at this time.. When we received the estimate from him and felt it was reasonable for what was being done, so we scheduled to have it done. Justin and his helper came at the scheduled time and worked very hard all day. It took about three or four days to finish the entire job, except the painting. The calking needed to set well so it was scheduled into the next week. His painter was prompt at coming out and assessing the job and what he needed well before he came to do the job. When he did come they finished it in a day and it was en excellent match with the older paint. Justin did such a good job at overseeing and scheduling the work. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need and was honest and upfront with us. He knew what he was doing and we felt confident in hiring him. We have to mention Laura, who is in the office and is also Justin's wife. She was so friendly and helpful and a delight to work with. The other's that came out to do their part of the job were also very friendly and professional. We will definitely use this company for any future projects we have and would recommend Design Doctors to others.

He came to our home, sat with us, and looked at my design and my proposal. He has given us suggestions and offered better ideas. He worked for the best even when we were in Southern California through emails, telephone calls and answered my cousin. He took my design and enhanced it with his computer program. He offered suggestions on how to do things better. He works in Clark County here in Vancouver so he knows all the laws and regulations. He and his wife looked at our area. He offered to take us to outlet shops to find cheaper supplies of things. He’s given us good designs and redesigned some things that I have designed. He is excellent. He is not just a contractor. He doesn’t just come in and do what we want and read. He offered better tips and enhancing what we had already wanted. It’s amazing. I wished we already had Justin doing designs in Southern California so we’ve already used him.

The workers started at the planned time. They were cheerful, courteous, and communicated well. The project was scheduled for five days and was completed on time. We did not have to clean up any messes left during the work or after it was completed. Justin Ross is a great guy to work with and so is his whole crew. Next year we will have him do our kitchen.

They did a great job! I would go back with them again when we are doing a bathroom remodel. The owner, Justin was the most easiest person to work with and it was great.

Easy to work with-always professional-project looks great. Their cost is a little higher than some but it is worth it. I highly recommend them. Water damage under the sink caused by leak from removing the refrigerator. It was found after the project was completed. The stove does not fit perfectly next to the counter-might just need adjusting. It was found after the project was completed.

We had complete communication along the process of rebuilding. They were on time and on budget. They were superb to work with. The quality of their work was outstanding. Their company deserves a real appraise. We have zero complaints about this company or the work that was performed. I would highly highly recommend them.

This was an excellent experience from start to finish. Justin actually went shopping with us to help pick out all the materials giving us lots of advice but by helping us make our own choices, not by forcing his opinions on us. His workmen were skilled, courteous and efficient. The job site was cleaned up every night. Everything was on schedule and budget. The final product is beautiful. At the end Justin came by for a final walkthrough and made sure everything was just to our liking. We couldn't be happier.

We had lots of bids on the remodel and lots of changes to the plan. We found that Rick really wanted the job and went the full distance to get it. We are very happy with our complete new master bath. Design Doctors did a great job. Rick was on top of the job daily and was the main reason we went with his company.

Design Doctors was wonderful. I will go to them for all future projects. Justin listened, and understood exactly what we needed to make the bathroom functional for my disabled brother. He was there every step of the way to double check that everything was done correctly and well. The team, Mike and Mike were excellent, punctual, kept the construction mess under control, polite , professional and just great all around guys. Justin puts every bit of his knowledge, life experience, and industry contacts into making the job turn out to what his customer needs and requests. Our job was a small one in the world of construction but life changing for my brother's quality of life to make a bathroom accessible. Thank you so much Design Doctors! When I called to request an appointment for our full bathroom remodel, the owner's wife indicated that they were so swamped with work from Angie's List customers in Vancouver that they might not be able to do work in Portland because their resources were limited. She said she'd discuss with her husband that evening & give me a call back the next day either way. I thanked her for letting me know their constraints & that I understood. She never called back (it's been over a week). If they can't keep their commitment to return a phone call, I wouldn't trust them to keep commitments to do the project.

Beautiful job. I chose slate. Justin laid out the tiles in my garage and put the pieces together like a puzzle. It turned out great. I have a unique, beautiful shower in my master bathroom. All of my friends are jealous. Justin and his whole crew were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Design Doctors.
