Computers Made Easy Inc.

The provider activated a remote desktop system. I tried to use it from home and it didn't work. I called the provider, they took my report, and then called me back told me that the IP address had changed and they then fixed it. I told them that wouldn't work well for me as I couldn't afford to find out about that the the next time that it happened when I was trying to connect from home. In the middle of hearing my complaint, the line disconnected. When I called back I got an answering machine, left a message, and the provider never again returned my call.

I took my laptop to computers made easy. By their advertising, they hold themselves out as a company which repairs computers; so I took my computer to them to be repaired. A cursory look at the computer by both me and the man who took in my computer determined that there was either a problem with the on/off switch of the laptop or the plug in at the side of the laptop. The man who took in my computer said "we'll take a look at it and let you know what the problem is, and we'll take care of it". About a week later I got a call from the computers made easy, saying that the machine was shipped to a repair facility and that the charge would be $140.00 to solder a switch. Now, I know what a switch is, I know what a soldering iron is; as a matter of fact I've built several electronic components with a soldering iron. It boggels the mind to justify paying $140.00 for a five minute job. Not only that, I had asked the person who did the intake on the laptop to please get me a new battery for the laptop. When I went to pick up my machine.....no new battery!!! So, having said all that, another week went by, and now I have my computer. Oh, who ever worked on the computer got the date/time fouled up, such that before I could even use the laptop, I had to go in and redo both the date and the time; otherwise I could not open any programs. The user account controls in Windows thought I was an intruder!!!!!

I love them. If I could adopt them I would. They are fabulous. They don't talk computer-ese. They explain to you what you need and how they are going to do it, how much it's going to cost. They come out and do exactly what they said they were going to do and they explain how to use things. I would rate them overall an A.

They showed up on time, got to work and finished the job at hand in only a few hours. They made sure all our computers, printers, and peripherals were working correctly, before they even took a lunch break. One of our old pieces of equipment had a hard drive failure, but they were able to replace it without much of a delay, and when it was all done, we were back to work in our new place with no problems.
