 + -1 moreThey did a great job with both refinish and new and the results are a per match of the two! Bentley's team of installers paid attention to detail, performed in a timely manner and came in on target with their bid. These folks are truly craftsman and excel at their craft. We would absolutely use them again.
Description of Work: Installed new oak hardwoods and refinished existing oak hardwoods. The two sections of floor abutted.

 + -1 moreThey worked with our contractor to make 3 trips to our home to sand and seal our floors (a 2 day process) prior to the cabinet installation and then a final coat after the cabinets and appliances were installed. Our floors are beautiful. They took time and great care to make our 23 year old floors look brand new. They gave advice regarding how to keep our floors looking new. A previous refinisher had sealed the wooden duct vent covers in place so that they could not be removed for cleaning. They were able to cut the vents covers free and finish them separately so now they can be removed. Without reservation this company provides a great value and excellent service. We will use them in the future.
Description of Work: Refinished our oak floors as a part of a kitchen remodel. Installed new oak under our new refrigerator location.

Description of Work: My hardwood floor sustained significant water damage due to a hidden leak in my refrigerator. Bentley Wood Flooring was recommended to me by both my Interior Decorator and Neil Kelly. I received 3 other bids for the job; the one from Bentley came in as the lowest, though I would have chosen this company in any event on the basis of the strong recommendations. Mr. Bentley is a very easy going guy. I am not but he assured me he would take care of whatever needed to be done. He gave me a reasonable expectation of when the job would be completed and what circumstances might arise to alter that estimate. He refinished and revarnished my very pale flooring and also had to replace some of the floor boards. He and his partner did all the work themselves and did a beautiful job. They also returned, after the job was completed, to help me get my furniture moved back into the house. I am delighted with my floors and happy to have done business with this company. My only suggestion would be that they bring their own lockbox to the job so they are comfortable using it! ; - )

Description of Work: Purchased, on our account, and installed underlayment and approximately 1150 square feet of white oak veneer flooring after removing carpet from our just purchased condominium near downtown Portland . Mr Bentley did an excellent job for a fair price - just as he had done nine years earlier in removing carpet and installing white oak flooring in our former and much larger residence in Corbett, Oregon
