Our Oregon contractor's license is 191649 Washington license is ARSSES1903MF we offer a FREE property loss inspection. Our specialty is taking care of the needs of our customers while working with insurance companies. We offer direct insurance billing.

I had the unfortunate displeasure of having ARS Inc be the restoration company that my insurance company selected to handle the job of getting the house back into its prior state after water damage that caused carpet upstairs and the laminate flooring downstairs to need replacement. From the beginning, I was treated as if they were doing me a favor and that the timelines and processes for the project would happen eventually and to not bother them. They would reach out to me. They gave me several speeches about exact matches for flooring and carpet probably not being possible. (Red Flag). Note that the carppet was just installed 4 months prior to the damage. I got warnings of the possible need to replace my water filters. The water filters were installed brand new weeks before the damage. The completion date for the job kept moving month by month; week by week. They made it seem like it was an inconvenience for them to interact with me and provide updates. They may it seem like my concerns around the care in the restoration were unfounded. Every single one of my concerns were realized and became sore topics. When they claimed their job was done, there were plumbing issues that were overlooked when they were "putting" everything back together, there was an alignment issue between laminate and floor in a bathroom, there were unresolved electrical issues in the kitchen, and there were issues with the carpet padding and carpet that they installed upstairs. They refused to listen to me on resolution for the carpet and carpet padding issue. Instead they reommended the cheapest and easiest path for them that would not impact their bottomline. They gaslit me and when going through their punchlist of items, they cast asperations of the veracity of what I said. In the end, I completely cut them out of the electrical and carpet work. At this point, they lost my trust because of their lack of empathy, the poor communication skills of the project coordinator and the project manager, and their inability to do (and see) the right thing. The carpet installer that completely the job - the same one I used for the inital install - removed their carpet, which was multiple shades away from the one I selected and the one that is currently in the unaffected room. He confirmed that they optimized for cheap over what was there before. he also confirmed that they used thinner padding than was there before. Also, he was able to source my old carpet and padding with no problem at all, which demonstrated that ARS Inc made convenient assertions to go down the path they wanted; rather than putting the house back to its prior state - as mandated by their agreement with the insurance company. I should also point out that all the punchlist work that had to be done, which were presented to ARS staff as if I was lying about the issues not existing before, turned out to be due to things they missed in the restoration. I strongly recommend that no one ever use this company again. I also made a formal request to my insurance company to either flag them or remove them from their preferred vendor list.

Do get bids. Do trust your instinct on the behaviors contractors show in the bid process.
Description of Work: We contacted this provider as part of our bidding process for some mold problems we were having in the ceiling of our bathroom. They were responsive to our original call and were prompt for the inspection appointment. Two factors helped us decide to peruse another contractor for the work: 1) their bid arrived several days after their promise date and 2) Their quoted price was more than 15% greater than the winner.

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Their service is lousy, they are unprofessional, unreliable and OVER CHARGED us for services they have not completed. I am a business woman and if I treated my customers like ARS treated us, I wouldn't have any customers. They should be ashamed. If there was a rating lower than an "F", I would give it to them.
Description of Work: Service was to repair a large hole in the living room ceiling (a family member stepped through it while in the attic space looking for water damage from what seemed like months of rain). ARS was called and came out to give us an estimate on repairing and painting the ceiling, replacing the insulation in the same area and checking the attic for water damage. We also showed them the water stains in the closet where we suspected the leak. He looked at the damaged ceiling as well as the closet then gave a quote of $464.00 for everything. Then he told my husband he would have to come back to look up in the attic and actually do the work. He also told my husband he would paint the closet at no charge. I wasn't sure why he had to come back to look in the attic, since he was already there and scheduled to look at it then anyway, but my husband agreed. We thought ARS would be back in a day or two, but we had to call them after a week and a half. They came back out a week later and did the inspection. Again, my husband dealt with him. ARS went up into the attic to look for any leaks. When he came back down, he told my husband there was nothing up there that was wet. No wet insulation, boards, or mold. Then he actually wrote up another estimate for $577.96. This was $101.96 more than the original estimate. He told my husband he would be back to do the repairs. Approximately 3 days later, one of ARS' workers showed up (no phone call, nothing - how unprofessional) to repair the ceiling and paint the closet. The ceiling repair was done and the living room ceiling was painted but I don't know what the heck he used to paint the closet. The smell was awful and did not smell like paint. When he was done, my brilliant husband paid them.....even though they weren't finished putting in the insulation.......I was furious because now they have my money and there is no incentive to finish the job.. Anyway, when the closet dried, the entire area flaked, so I called ARS about it and my initial inspector (whose name I don't remember) told me the paint flaked because the ceiling/walls were wet.........Really, well you did the inspection and told me you did not find anything wet at all in the attic....so explain the flaking......He insisted the area was wet. Both my husband and myself checked the closet for moisture and found none. I believe they used some inferior or old paint. Then I asked when he was coming back out to replace the insulation in the ceiling and he told me once we had the roof repaired. (Which was to happen as soon as mother nature gave us a break in the weather, but should not have had anything to do with the insulation) So, although initially he found no water damage in the attic he blamed the flaking paint on wet ceiling and walls and he wants to wait until the roof is repaired to replace the insulation......Well why not, he already has my money. No incentive for good customer service there! To date, I have not heard from this company and honestly believe they have no intentions of completing the work. I am extremely disappointed with this company and frankly don't want them back in my house. I'll take the loss and find someone else to replace the insulation. This company is no longer worthy of my time or money.

THIS COMPANY CAME TO MY HOUSE TO REFINISH MY BATHTUB. IT HAD CRACKS AND HARD WATER STAINS ON IT. WHEN THIS COMPANY WAS DONE, MY BATHTUB LOOKED BRAND NEW. THIS COMPANY I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
