Still waiting on a call for a refund.

I was told by the office staff that it would be $99.00 plus cost of repairs. I agreed. I called on Monday and they came out on Thursday. The technician came out and hooked up a monitoring system to my heat pump. He said I was extremely low on Freon, which meant I had a leak somewhere and that I would need to replace both the heat pump and the furnace. He said he could look for leaks but that could run in the thousands of dollars, and even if he found the leak he might not be able to get any replacement parts. He fastened up the back of the heat pump and we walked back to his van. This diagnosis took about 5 minutes. He asked me if I wanted to use check or credit card to pay for their service. I responded credit card and went into the house to get it. The technician swiped my credit card through the reader and then handed it back to me. After he swiped my credit card he said he was just going to have the office staff bill me. He said it was going to be $99.00 for the trip charge, and $69.00 for his diagnostic fee. I told him the office had told me it would be only $99.00. He said they were wrong and he would counsel them. The total cost came to $180.94. He never gave me a copy of anything even though he used my credit card. Then he told me the sales staff would call me in a couple of hours to set up an appointment to discuss a new system. I waited inside the house all day and they never called. The next day the sales staff called and when I asked when he was available, he told me the office staff made all appointments. I am not sure why he called me. However, he hung up and called back in about 10 minutes and made an appointment for the next week. In the mean time, the more I thought about it, the madder I became. It was obvious the office staff doesn't talk to the technicians; the technicians don't talk to the sales staff; and it became painfully obvious they have no formal procedures, and I was paying twice what they had told me it would cost. I felt totally uncomfortable working with this company. Nothing they said was correct. I just received the invoice in the mail and it states "nobody home to pay". Another lie. I was with him the entire time except for running into the house for my VISA. I hope this company did this just to avoid the VISA fee, and not for ID theft. I will be updating this review if I encounter ID theft. I do not recommend this company.

The heat pump was not working. He came out and made certain recommendations. It went very smoothly. He showed up on time.

I was expecting so much more after reading the review by another single female homeowner. The gentleman who came out really didn't seem very interested in selling me anything. He asked very few questions and provided little information outside of a few brochures which I had to ask for, There was no discussion of cold spots in my home. No discussion of duct cleaning, No information on SEER. No discussion on air quality. I have many pets.He didn't ask about my energy usage. He mentioned using the existing ancient housing for filterer system. No discussion on location of heat pump. I have one already that no longer works, but nothing about if the was optimum placement etc. I want a variable speed. One of the brochures was for single stage. I had many questions but he made me feel like a girl trying to find reasons to keep a reluctant suitor from leaving. Basically it was a waste of time for me as any info he provided was in the brochure or could be gotten from the internet. He definitely made it clear he felt it was a waste of time. I had another company come out. If you're making this kind of investment you get at least 3 estimates. The company I am now considering took a lot of time. Answer many questions.Asked many questions. Lots of discussion on air quality. I am looking to replace my heat pump and furnace, install a water heater, Insulate. I was interested in some other small eletrical work like changing out outlets for 3 prong. Repair of some can lights. Addition of lighting in my garage. All things the other company took time to discuss with me. Area just wanted to leave. Made an appt to come back with the estimate. I canceled.

We have used their services for about three years. Scheduling hasn't been an issue, they are usually able to come out within a day or two. They are good and honest people. They do a great job.

Very professional new just what he was doing and fixed the problem right away. This was done on Superbowl Sunday and he did not hurry and band-aid the problem but mad sure is was fixed correctly so we where nice and warm for the game. Would definitely use them again.

Complete new furnace and a/c unit. great office staff and field staff.

They installed our 2 heat pumps & furnaces 20 years ago. When I've called for service they are always prompt & professional. Our builder chose this company originally. They have done service several times over the years. The cage fan needed replacing at one time. One of our outdoor units gave out after 15+ years. They replaced that & provided a new slab for it to sit on to get it away from the dryer vent.

Replaced our old furnace with a high efficient one. It went very well, and they even offered a 0% financing package which was just what we needed. We would highly recommend them to others.

I woke without heat. I called they came a few hours later and fix the furnace on the spot.

They were excellent. The guy who came was excellent. It wasn't a high pressure sale at all. He explained things well. They got us in about a week for the install. They had 3 vans of people here and got it done in half a day. They were very professional. Their price was better than everybody else. I would definitely use them again.

The results were good, and the heating engineer was very prompt and responsive.

After calling the emergency service number, Kevin, the technician on call, talked me through what to do and then got us set up with the scheduling department to have someone come out and correct the problem. It turned out to be Kevin doing the service. He called before coming to the house, went over the details of the problem, and had us up and running within an hour. Kevin was very professional, courteous, and did an great job of letting us know what the problem was.

Up to a point, the service was quite good. Unfortunately, the estimator told us it would probably be a 3-day job. We were skeptical but did not anticipate how long we were actually going to be waiting for a completion date! The job began on May 8th and we are STILL waiting (June 25) for a final inspection to complete the project. The delay is Area Heating's...not the city inspector's. The workers were hard working and, for the most part, very professional. We believe that the delay was a result of a miscalculation of the complexity of the job. As time went on some frustration was apparent among the workers. They were using the old duct work which caused some issues with routing connections to gas line and electrical. We had to wait for some of these issues to be resolved leaving us w/out heat during a bit of a cold spell. As we continue to wait for someone to correct a piping issue, we are enjoying our new system but not the time we lived w/our basement and our schedules in total disarray!

My 23 year old heat pump finally died. Area Heating had a new, comlpete heat pump system up and running in 3 days. The work crew was prompt, courteous and just great to work with! I've used Area Heating in 3 different homes over the past 21 years. I can always count on them!

Truthfully, I don't like it when our heat goes out at all. But, this company will the first ones we call because of their responsiveness and dependability.

They did a good job. They provided fine customer service.

Went fine, I probably need a new heat pump but he explained how to use the auxiliary heat until I could do that.

After deciding that I wanted a ductless heat pump a I got six bids on the job. Area Heating was easy to talk to, on time, thorough, and answered the many questions I had prepared to ask. Being a single woman, Area Heating took the time to explain in detail, without making me feel stupid, everything they would do and why. I did not get blown off like so many companys do. No pressure or hype, just information that was useful for me to make a decision. They installed the system within a week, did the job in less than one day. They made sure they were not in the way and very polite. It was a rainy, soggy day, with the workers going in and out in the mud. The floors were spotless when they left, carpets were covered, I did not have to clean up. The heat pump was all that was described, warm, quiet, easy to use. Area Heating came back after installation and went over the remote control with me, showed me how to do maintainance, and answered all my questions. I'm very happy with them.

Lee called to give me a 15 minute heads up that he was on the way and arrived at the scheduled appointment time. He was very personable, yet professional in his demeanor. He went right to work and stopped only to show me any things I needed to be aware of. He shared several good pieces of information as to the best way to maintain my system. He was finished in the time alloted for the appointment.

The technician came out and took a look at it. the same day that I called Thankfully, there was nothing actually wrong with it. He was very gracious and took a few minutes to explain how it worked. He did not even charge for the visit. We will definitely call them again when something does go wrong.

They did a very good job. They were on time. They put in a nice system. I got a pretty good price on it at that time. They had to re-duct my home. They were very professional about it. The quality was good. It was the top of the line equipment. They were responsive. They were out here when they said they would be here. I would use them again in the future.
