Excellent

They were prompt and had adequate staff to complete the job efficiently and safely. They carefully removed the tree in sections to ensure no damage to the adjoining buildings or plants. The crew processed all the debris, leaving a clean yard at the end of the job. Their customer communication was wonderful. The price was reasonable considering the scope and risk of the job. I gave them a B for price because I forgot to use the 10% coupon available on Angie's List.

Arborscape did an excellent job! The workers arrived on-time, and were friendly and professional. The speed at which they removed the old spruce in our back yard was phenomenal. This was a stunted spuce that had taken over a corner of our back yard by spreading out, was crowding out the other plants, and looked just horrible. Arborscape's crew took care of the tree quickly, hauling all of the limbs and debris to the chipper attached to the their truck. They cleared away all of the tree debris, and took the stump down flush with the gound. We now have our yard back! After that they pruned a six-year old ratty apple tree in our back yard that had never received any sort of maintenance. It was amazing the amount that they pruned away, and how much better the tree looks. It looks healthy, like we've been taking care of it all of its life. Again, all of the trimmed limbs and debris were cleaned up, leaving the site better looking than it has in awhile. My wife and I are already starting to make a list of a number of various projects around the yard that we plan to hire them to do in the near future. I'm very happy we chose them to do this work.

The process was fast (couple of hours) and efficient. The workers were friendly and worked in a 'safety-first' manner.

I have a special magnolia. It is reported to be one of the largest in Portland. Magnolias don't like to be pruned, and it should be avoided if possible. However, this one really needed to be cleared from walkways and I couldn't trust just anyone. I had a few other things that needed done too, like pruning a japanese maple and having a stump removed. I called Arborscape and Frank called me back. He came out within the next couple of days, checked everything out and gave me a price that seemed reasonable based on bids I've received for similar work. Because I had to get the stump removed ASAP and Frank seemed very knowledgable about trees, I hired him without getting other bids. The work done by Frank and his workers was excellent. The magnolia and japanese maple look really amazing. The magnolia looks like the type of tree one might see illustrated in a story book. His crew did exactly what I wanted - cleared it from the sidewalk without sacrificing its size and beauty. I would definitely call them again.

The service was wonderful. I am planning to call him again. I spent $1700 on the service.

I called Aborscape on July 6th and told them that the willow-type tree in my front lawn didn't look well this year. Jeff Day, their estimator, told me on the phone what he suspected it was, and said that he'd be able to come look at it in a week. Then the very next day he called and told me that he was on his way to my house to check the tree. When he arrived, he called me at work and affirmed that the tree had a pathogen due to the wet spring, that it would recover, and that it looked very good and had perfect branching. He also took a look at the maple which is right next to the willow. The maple has an issue with branching and needs to have one branch removed. (or it will eventually split) Jeff didn't have tools with him, so he marked the branch that should be cut, along the correct angle for the cut. There was no charge for the service, which I appreciate greatly! I will certainly call Arborscape whenever I need tree work done.

We called Arborscape seeking the services of an arborist for tree identification, tree health and suggestions. Jeff Day came out, without charge, walked our property, ID'd trees, commented on health of the trees and was extremely helpful. There was one tree that I had been wanting to remove because it was large, too close to the house, blocked the sun and blocked the view. Jeff said the tree was healthy but he agreed that if it was his wife's tree she would definitely want it removed. It was done a few days later, carefully and efficiently. The branches were chipped and we kept those for mulch. The rest was cut into 18 inch lengths for our fireplaces. We were pleased with the whole process and especially pleased at Jeff's professionalism and service. I know we can call him if we have questions or concerns about our trees. We will definitely go back to Arborscape for any pruning, clearing needs we have in the future, and would, and have, recommended them to others.

He wife works at the office and is really nice and organized. He gets back to you quickly. He does a free estimate. His estimates was a bit lower. He is extremely experienced. He teaches classes at a school on arbor technique. He is a very nice guy and an interesting person. He has a very good crew. On the last one they had to take the tree out from amongst a grove of tress. They had to get a crane that could lift a tree out from the middle of trees. It was really impressive. All of the operators of the machinery were very competent. They worked well as a team. I was struck by how well coordinated the people in the two different kinds of machinery were. They had clearly worked together a lot. They brought the trees out in pieces. It was done very efficiently. I wandered out there and everyone was approachable. Everyone was willing to answer questions. I am a scientist and am curious about a lot of things. No one was reticent about answering my questions. They were very precise in their work. They did not harm anything. When I had questions about my preferences, they asked me what my preference was. If I hadn't been there, they couldn't have done that, but I thought the judgment was good. John himself wasn't there. He didn't need to be. He had informed his crew well. They operated accordingly. It was good to be treated with that kind of consideration.

We were very pleased with the work. We met with them and they provided us with guidance on how to maintain the beauty of the trees. We appreciate that they really took time with us and they were very good at picking out what needed to be done to particular trees. They are certified arborists. They got the job done quickly and every day they cleaned up very well after themselves. We had bids from other companies and this company was the most reasonable.

I love Arborscape! John and his crew really know their stuff and they've done several jobs at our house. Their prices are reasonable, they show up when they say, and they're great to work with. Very friendly company!

They did a very good job on the maple tree because I stood outside and supervised. All went so well with that tree that I thought I could trust them with the second tree (wrong!) in the back. They cut one large branch, two small ones, and flew the coop without even asking for money. I called to complain about the job on the tree, and Frank said the tree was too diseased and fragile to trim it very much. I said there was no evidence that they fertilized it either; Frank said that required wet ground and they would do it later in the month. I received a bill in the mail for $1005.33 that states they trimmed 7 cherry trees. They did not trim even one cherry tree, and they barely trimmed the plum tree! A woman did show up after about 10 days to deep fertilize the plum tree.

JOHN WAS GREAT- FLEXIBLE, FAIRLY PRICED AND HELPFUL. I WILL HIRE FOR FUTURE PROJECTS.
