4 A's Tree Service

This is a top flight service. They 'touched' every tree on our place. They removed close to two dozen trees and trimmed every tree and schrub that remained. They were on time and on task. They stuck to their bid and to the projected time line. The clean up was thorough and quick. I would not hesitate to hire these folks again. When things warm up a bit, we'll be having them return and do some tree planting as well.

I called 4 A's Tree Service for an estimate to trim two trees. They came out that afternoon and left an estimate. I felt it was reasonable and called them the next day to set up an appointment for the following week. The crew arrived on time and did a great job. Raked up the debris and hauled away. I need some work in my backyard and they will be the first company I call to receive an estimate on that job.

He spent very little time doing the actual work. The majority of the time was in unloading the machine and loading it back up. The stump removal took about 10 to 15 minutes. The reason I was getting rid of the tree was because I had mistakenly planted it over a trench holding my electric cables. So instead of doing a full removal, they only went about a foot below the surface. That was exactly what I needed. He left me with a big pile of wood chips. I had to get out there after he left and tamp it down into the hole and spread it evenly over the lawn. I thought it was a bit overpriced for what all he had to do. I chose them because they were bonded, and I was concerned about the electricity. They did do a good job.

In mid December, 2012, heavy rains softened the soil so much in our backward in Vancouver, that one of the large blue spruce trees toppled over and fell into a neighboring tree. This happened early evening, just before dark. Frantic, I called 4 A's Tree Service and Alex arrived within 20 minutes. He shimmied up the tree, helped us cut it into pieces and kept it from falling into the house. The next day, he returned and removed the tree. Problem solved. Whew!

The crew of four were very efficient. This was a very difficult tree to work in. Two of the workers climbed nearly to 60 ft to start the process of trimming and topping. One supervised and gave advice and kept me informed on decisions regarding shaping of the tree. The other member of the ground crew collected branches for grinding. the entire job was done in one hour and the cost was very reasonable.

I had a little trouble getting in touch with them in the beginning. I thought that they were going to e-mail me but I had to call them. They gave me an estimate for cutting down a 40 ft ponderosa pine in my back yard, the estimate included the stump removal, $600.00 plus tax. They contacted the city to be sure whether or not we needed a permit and contacted the locating service for the stump removal so as not to hit any water or gas lines. Their estimate was at least $200.00 below their nearest competitor. They were on time and did a professional job. I was concerned about the tree hanging over my neighbors patio but they were very careful and there were no problems. The stump grinder was a little rough on my yard but for the price I was willing to do a little extra. I would refer them and use them again in the future. Bob Poppe

4 A's were very prompt and professional. They were competitively priced. They maintained a high qaulity of work. I would use them again in the future if need be.

They came right out for an estimate, when chosen were very quick to come out and to the work. Did everything I asked them to do. Was very pleased with the workmen and the job they did. Would recommend them to anyone. Their prices were better than any of the other companies that I called. Some companies were not sure that they could get the trees down without some damage to fences, however this company was sure they could, and they did. Great work.

I called them hours after the tree fell. They had someone there later that afternoon for an estimate. I called the next day and scheduled the service for the following day. The person I spoke with said they would be there first thing, which they weren't. There was some mis-communication with the workers; they did end up coming, but a couple hours after they said they'd be there. They were responsive when I called so didn't dwell on it. They also didn't send me an invoice. I just had the estimate. I had to call them to ask how much it was. Overall, minor inconveniences. I would use them again. They did a good job with clean up and were friendly.

The service went well. I perceived them to be honest, helpful and responsive. There were no surprise costs, everything was discussed upfront. I was surprised at how quickly the tree came down and they cleaned up well, too.

They started at about 8:30am and finished up about 2:30pm. Our yard has never looked this good. They were fast, efficient, professional and took great care in their work. I would highly recommend 4A's and have no hesitation in hiring them again in the future.

This company was great for a few months. Then, they just stopped showing up even though I was prepaying for services every month. I called the office and their response was "Sorry about that. I told them to go". Very disappointed in their customer service.

They were very prompt to bid our job. With a reasonable price and the great reviews here on Angie's List we decided to use them. Scheduling was a bit confusing as they don't usually answer the phone so we played phone tag for a bit. Once scheduled they arrived early, were quick to get the job done (safely and accurately however) and cleaned up well. We were SO pleased with their work they are coming out to bid some landscaping work for us soon. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Went fine. They cleaned up nicely. I had to tell them when to stop or they would have removed more branches than I wanted. But they are the experts and I'm not. I will use them again.

They had a fair price and did a good job. I will have them back in September to trim 20 trees.

The work went quite well. 4A's was very flexible - the job had to be coordinated with the weather to avoid damaging a soggy yard with vehicle travel. The crew of 3 worked very hard and were in and out within two hours. It was especially appreciated that they blew debris out of my yard before leaving, rather than leaving me leaves and twigs to rake up.

They did an excellent job. They were careful about my other grown landscape that was close and they cleaned up well. I would use them again.

Excellent job was done and they meticulously cleaned up theentire yard. Vincente arrived on time for the estimate and he and a crew of 2 more workers arrived the next day right on time to do the job. They spent about 5 hours on our yard never stopping once. My neighbor took advantage of them being here and they spent the rest of the afternoon on his 3 large trees. He was also very happy with the job they did for him. I will definitely have them back next year. Having done all the pruning on our yard for the 40 years we've owned the house, i can vouch for the skill they had in knowing how to handle a wide variety of trees. Vincente even instructed me on proper pruning techniques for my blueberry garden to increase yield of bigger berries.. I added quite a few other tasks to the list as the day went on and I paid a bit more than the bid to compensate them for the added tasks. They ground up all the prunings and trimmings and left the place immaculate.

They arrived on time, completed the work and cleaned up all debris before leaving. The work was excellant and we would certainly hire them again.

I have used 4 A before. Once again,they were both the 1st company I called and the 1st to respond. They were on time for the appraisal and provided a reasonable estimate for the work. They (a full crew!) presented (again on time) and did a phenomenal job - topping the trees, mowing, raking removing a lot of downed tree branches and . . . Well . . . Bottom line, doing a much better, more thorough job than expected. Note: I am going to use them again this fall to prep for winter

Vicente and two additional gentlemen promptly came on the date and time that was agreed upon. Using a chain saw they removed two large branches from our fir tree and one large branch from the oak tree. The branches were removed and a leaf blower was used to remove wood chips. We were extremely pleased with the service they provided and, should the need arise, we would call on them again.

We are very pleased with the results.

They arrived at 8:30am and by 10:30am they were done. They were very conscious of the fence and surrounding landscaping. There was very minimal impact to the rest of the backyard as they did a great job cleaning up when they were done. Very professional, very fast and I would highly recommend them!
